  1. And spend 3 hours on the phone on hold.....no thank you! And I tried to follow the link in the letter they sent and it was a useless effort trying to find out how to prepay with OBC.
  2. I just did the same thing. We have lots of NR OBC. Finally gave up and emailed my fabulous travel agent. I wasn't going to spend 3 hours on hold with Celebrity.
  3. We sailed this on the Apex. We were in 7119. At the time we booked the prices were significantly cheaper than an infinite veranda. We loved it. Did not find it claustrophobic. Even though it was "obstructed" we had a REAL balcony. We had friends in an IV and we didn't like it. Closing off the "doors" for privacy in the room if someone else was on the veranda was a pain. Would book again in a heartbeat.
  4. I wish we had that problem when we sailed Edge this February. We had the premium package and the premium wines were not available. Substituted cheaper Classic wines. Whomp, Whomp, Whomp. I would not have upgraded.
  5. We were on the Edge back in February and had upgraded to the Premium Package. As far as the wines were concerned, we found that a lot of the premium wines that were supposedly on the menu were not available unless we were dining in the specialty restaurant and that was sporadic at best. That annoyed me to no end because that was the main reason we upgraded. It would have been more economical if we had just upcharged when needed. We have the classic on our next two cruises and we will not upgrade. We have a boat load of OBC to use. If I want a bigger martini - so be it!
  6. We usually like to do lunch at Sushi on Five a couple of times on sea days. Haven't been on an S-class ship since the pandemic. Done E-class ships and it was truly ala carte. I could order one or two things or whatever I wanted. When I check the menus for my sailing they show a set menu for lunch ($30) and dinner ($45). Is it no longer ala carte? And do they still have the raw bar (oysters, lobsters, etc.)? Hoping that it is just the useless website! Thanks for your input!
  7. There are four main dining rooms on the Apex. They each have their own small special menu that is set by venue. They also have the main menu that each of the four dining rooms share that will rotate daily...much like the normal single main dining room's menu. Then they also have the everyday menu. We made reservations ahead of time but decided that we really didn't care for one of them. We were easily able to show up for an alternate venue and got a table.
  8. We did this tour in 2019 on the Reflection. We docked in Colon and they bussed us to a point on the canal where the tour boats picked us up. The tour boat was basic. Buy your own beer, ok food. Ride was amazing. Great views. Got off in Panama City and bussed back to Colon. The issue was waiting for the pilot to show up at the tour boat entry. They now own up to it and warn you about "substantial delays" in their description. Picture 300 people waiting for hours in the hot Panama sun with only one bathroom?!?! They would not let us reboard the busses to wait it out. It was a poop show to say the least. Many refunds were issued that evening by those smart enough to complain. Not sure how they do the tour now. But be warned. Go potty before!!! We just got off the Edge and did the partial transit.... different views than the tour boat. Didn't bother with an excursion that day and enjoyed an empty ship.
  9. I won't burn my pom-poms. They did right by us again. Did right by us when they got us home safely from South America when the world went to poop with COVID on March 15, 2020.
  10. So, the 2nd cruise on our B2B (Singapore/Tokyo - 3/4, Tokyo/Tokyo - 3/16) was cancelled by Celebrity. Last week, I wrote a very polite but scathing letter to the CEO, Executive Offices, Resolutions Department and anyone else I had an email address for. Basically, told them that my cheerleading days were over and that I was going to take my money elsewhere. Later that day I got a phone call from their Resolutions Department. I was very polite, yet very angry in speaking to the rep. Long story - they allowed me to lift and shift both cruises to 2025. Very satisfied with the outcome. It pays to complain.
  11. We had a very sweet deal on an inside AI that was B2B with the previous cruise. We booked in February 2022 on board the Apex and transferred it to our agent. They couldn't do us the favor and cancel both.
  12. Us too. Our travel agent informed us that we were cancelled on April 17th Over three weeks ago. I have not gotten any correspondence from Celebrity. Not a one. I called on April 30 to see what was happening as the cancel date was May 1st. My March 16th sailing is still showing up on my cruises. I hate to now go book something else after my previous (March 4th) cruise that was not cancelled. Very poor customer service. I used to be such a cheerleader for Celebrity but now this has left a bad taste in my mouth.
  13. We were on the March 4th and March 16th cruise. Our 2nd cruise was cancelled. We are Elite and were booked in a lowly inside with cabin assignments. We got a really sweet AI deal on both cruises when we booked on the Apex February 2022. Which is probably why they cancelled us. It was too good to be true. I would have been thrilled if they also cancelled the 1st cruise and we could lift and shift both. But they refused to make our lives easier and so we were stuck with just one cruise. Our agent went to bat for us and got nowhere. I called Celebrity today (hold time - 35 minutes) and they again would not budge. So, we took the money and ran. We have a cruise booked with a group of college buddies on the Equinox winter 2024 that I don't want to cancel and will get a reduction on that one. We kept the first cruise - we have a refundable deposit and do not have to pay until December. Who knows - they many wind up cancelling us between now and then. Looking at my options. Maybe HAL or Princess or a land tour. Or pushing it off again. Even though we are D+ on Royal, we were looking to do more Celebrity. At this point, I do know that I will probably not book Celebrity again for a while. Shame is that they did us so well on our ill-fated COVID Eclipse cruise around South America in March 2020. I talked them up and down. No longer.
  14. Me too. If they had asked for volunteers, they probably would have gotten a good number of folks. And no one would have been slighted. The way they just picked some folks and not others is totally unreasonable. And some got upgrades! And some are getting downgrades! Doesn't make much sense.
  15. We got off the Edge last month. We sailed the Apex last year at 50% full. It did feel much more crowded. Trying to get a seat at the Martini Bar was impossible and there were not too many of the other seats available either. And this was starting at 4:30 PM. We kind of had to time it between dinner seatings. The outdoor pool at times was wall to wall people. But we managed to find lounge chairs around. Maybe not in prime locations but we could find some.
  16. We are B2B on both the March 4th from Singapore to Tokyo and the March 16th Tokyo/Tokyo. So far I got an oversold email from my TA on just the March 16th cruise. We are in an inside cabin and we booked on board while we were on the Apex in February 2022. We got a really, really sweet deal on their AI. I think that is how they are determining who to cut. We got a deal too good to be true and we jumped on it. We were on a similar trip in 2021 on the Ovation which went the way of Covid. If they cancel both of my cruises - I will just lift and shift to 2025. But the fact that they just cancelled one of my cruises is problematic.
  17. I looked on both Cruise Mapper and What's in Port and could not find the Millennium listed anywhere for March of 2024. We are B2B - first and second cruise ends in Yokohama.
  18. I received letters pertaining to updates to our Cruise Ticket Contract for cruises after April 21, 2023. I have clicked on the links and no where do I see anything about alcoholic beverages policy. Mostly a lot of what Celebrity is not liable for.
  19. We were on a B2B Edge cruise in February and had gotten the schedule in the App beforehand. Was it the same? Nope. One off happened as one of the acts got sick and they flew in a replacement. That I can understand. But things were completely different.....
  20. We were on the Edge in February and I had signed up for the Go Green promotion. Steward still came in twice a day.
  21. Thanks for the responses. As mentioned - it's been a while since we used our Elite drink privilege and wasn't sure what was allowed - especially with all the changes since covid. I know what drinks are included in the menu. I am happy with a plain old vodka martini. It's not worth it for us to get a drink plan. DH will just have to pay up!
  22. Last few Celebrity cruises I have done AI. Next cruise we are not taking a drink plan, instead we are relying on our Elite status for happy hour. We have a lot of OBC on this cruise. And it has been quite a while since we have done Elite happy hour (at least 2018). DH is a hardcore single malt scotch drinker. Can he upgrade to a better scotch on the Elite plan for the difference in price? Or will he just need to pay full price for the better scotch?
  23. February 2022 we did a S2S2S. Went from the Allure to the Apex to the Odyssey. This was also when Covid testing was required 3 days prior. They took care of that on board. We were shuttled (complimentary) between each ship. A little chaotic with finding our shuttle but we made it. We arranged the shuttle service with the Diamond Concierge and the Elite Concierge. Don't know if being D+ and Elite makes a difference.
  24. I have to agree too! Just got off the Edge. Guiseppe was hilarious - Mama!! And we had Ale-handsome on our ill fated Covid Eclipse cruise around the horn in March 2020.
