  1. Or the Transatlantic, Transpacific, Repositioning & Trans-Ocean Cruises forum.
  2. @Crestawave You can research shorex on the Ports of Call forums. That is where you can find reviews or recommendations of tour operators, guides, property & business owners in the various ports of call forums.
  3. Hello @Rangerblp and welcome to the Cruise Critic message board! Thank you for your new topic on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry concerns a specific cruise line and is off topic there. To help you out I have moved your new topic to the Celebrity Cruises forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed Celebrity frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. The Cruise Critic website and message boards are great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are glad you found us! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list for the various forums. Please read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. Please remember the following portion from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Browse Before You Post Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics. Anytime you need to start a new thread/topic on a forum, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your topic. Word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information, they will reply to you. Also, it is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic such as one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship, port or sail date in your message if that sort of information will help your fellow Cruise Critic members help you. Happy sails, Host Kat
  4. @davide2002 As for sharing the links now... well I have to say as a non-paid volunteer Host here on the message boards... get them to join Cruise Critic NOW! That way they will be well informed about cruising before the cruise. All of the great information here cannot be absorbed from a few links to some oldie but goody Cruise Critic articles since some things may have changed since they were published. Much better for current information to come from other cruisers. As stated in the Guidelines, "Cruise Critic's Community is comprised of people who absolutely LOVE cruising. We all benefit from the exchange of advice that takes place within our Cruise Community; this is a cooperative effort which depends on all of you to make it work well..." and "... Our mission is provide a haven on the internet, if you will, that will provide a resource for those planning a cruise and for those that love cruising..." Here is my recent post to another new member on how things work around here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2968882-first-cruise-reaching-out-on-unbooked-activities/#comment-66265597 Any questions about that info just tell the family to let me know with a new topic/thread on the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. And yes, I agree with @ldubs regarding everyone meet up at least once a day. In our group nobody is "joined at the hip" with others in the group, but dinner together is best for us too. We have all our bookings for dinner in the MDR linked together by our TA so we are all seated together. That's when everyone tells about their day, shows pictures, etc. And then everyone tells what their plans are for the next day. And of course, on the last night we all bemoan the fact the cruise is almost over. Happy sails to you and the family, Host Kat
  5. @Ovsa Your new topic posted on an incorrect forum has been moved to the MSC Cruises forum where it will be on topic. New cruisers to MSM will be thankful to see it. Happy sails, Host Kat

If you need information on how to do it, please click here: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) As stated in the Guidelines, "ROLL CALLS are for people to get to know one another before their cruise; therefore, there will be all kinds of discussion!" To find your fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you, you need to post on the Roll Call thread for your specific line, ship and sail date. Please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines. We also have the following Cruise Critic article you might enjoy: 8 Reasons to Join a Cruise Critic Roll Call The specific Roll Call thread for your cruise line, ship and sail date is the ONLY place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions or transportation with each other to save money. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Also, they may have already posted private share requests that may interest you. Since you did not mention your sail date, I cannot direct you to the specific Roll Call thread for your cruise if it has already been created. Use the Roll Call Finder Tool located at the top of the Majestic Princess Roll Calls forum for your line and ship. You use it to search for the month of your cruise. Hopefully your sail date will be shown in the search results of existing Roll Call threads for your month. Once you locate the specific Roll Call thread for your cruise if it has already been created, read through the whole thread to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you. Then use the blue Reply to this topic button to post an introductory post about yourself on the Roll Call. If you want to address a particular post already in the thread, be sure to use the Quote feature on that post as I did yours so all will be aware of what your post concerns. You then type your reply UNDER the light blue quote box then click the blue Submit Reply button. If a Roll Call thread for your specific line, ship & sail date has not been created, please feel free to create it! Then sit back and wait for your fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you to join in with posts. They will appreciate you starting the Roll Call! And don't forget, after your cruise be sure to submit your review for publication by Cruise Critic. Many cruisers will benefit from your experience! Make YOUR voice heard. Your honest cruise review will influence next year's Cruisers' Choice award winners and help others choose the right sailing. See How To: Submit a Member Review. Whenever you need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, go to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. Note the large amount of "How to..." pinned threads toward the top of the forum's first page. Also, browse through the threads in the forum looking for threads of interest. Again, you will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. So sorry this is so long, but I sincerely hope this will be helpful to someone new to posting on the message boards. We are glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  7. @davide2002 A little off topic I know, but here will be times when you will feel like you are "herding cats" when trying to wrangle your family. Perhaps something in this oldie but goody Cruise Critic article last updated August 20, 2018 will be helpful: Planning a Family Reunion Cruise (cruisecritic.com) Even though it is about cruising with friends, perhaps something will be helpful in this newer article last updated July 07, 2023: 7 Tips for Cruising With Friends (cruisecritic.com) And if there will be first time cruisers in your family group, you will be peppered with all sorts of questions about cruising. I speak from experience! My first cruise in '88 was a family group cruise. My DH and I were the only virgin cruisers in the group and had many questions (& fears to be squashed!) for our group leader. Again, perhaps something in this oldie but goody article last updated January 07, 2020 will be helpful: First-Time Cruise Tips (cruisecritic.com) Hope you and the rest of the family have a wonderful cruise! 22. @Szt The only information per the Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle parties is on the Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle page mentioned above. Note it states Celebrity "cancelled Meet & Mingle parties on board all their ships." As stated in the Guidelines, "... any questions or comments regarding our posting guidelines or any content found on our message boards..." are to be directed to the Community Manager via email and not discussed on the boards. BTW, I searched the Celebrity Cruises website for you & found the following: Give them a call and perhaps they can help you. Or perhaps they can direct you to a more correct number. If you are a Captain's Club member, have your membership number handy and perhaps they can help you. If anyone tells you to contact your ship:Now the above is if you want to contact a passenger, but hopefully someone at Celebrity Cruises will give you the name of the correct department for your ship & hopefully an employee's name. Or perhaps a correct email address. Good luck! 🤞🍀
