  1. Hello @splinkaone and welcome back to Cruise Critic! I see it has been a while since you have posted. Thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry concerns cruising out of LA and is off topic there. To help you out your new thread has been moved to the West Coast Departures forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed from there frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. The Cruise Critic website and the message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are glad to see you posting again! Please feel free to browse the message board categories list for all our various forums. Click here Cruise Critic Community. Please read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. Hope this will be helpful and glad to have you back aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  2. Hello @Davet2016 Thank you for your new topic on the Cruise Blogs & Websites forum. However, it is off-topic there. The forum is for Cruise Critic members to post links to their personal travelogue-type of cruise-related blogs or websites. To help you out, your new thread has been moved to the Florida Departures forum where it will be on the correct forum. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed from Florida frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you. The Cruise Critic website and message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers, and we are so glad you found us! 3. @Csrrolemodel Please use the Report feature on the first post in the Roll Call thread. For more info, click here: How To: Report a Post A User Reported Content list of reports will be generated for review to all volunteer Hosts and paid Administrators. The reports will automatically show the important information they MUST have such as the forum name, thread title or post in addition to your message of what you want the edited title to be. Only Hosts or Administrators are able to edit existing thread titles at any time. Members have only about 15 minutes after a thread appears on the board to edit the title. The volunteer Hosts or paid Administrators will review your Report post report when they can. I say "when they can" because all e-mails and Report post reports to Cruise Critic are answered in order of receipt. With almost two million members and some sending e-mails and reports 24/7 from all over the world, please be patient for any action. Also, please remember the Hosts are non-paid volunteers and work the boards when their real life permits. Most Administrators work regular weekday business hours.
  4. Hello @wanda1125 Thank you for your new topic on the Cruise Blogs & Websites forum. However, it is off-topic there since the forum is for our members to post links to their personal travelogue-type of cruise-related blogs or websites. To help you out, your new thread has been moved to the Celebrity Cruises forum where it will be on topic. You might also want to research the Disabled Cruise Travel forum too. That is where your fellow Cruise Critic members with physical limitations share their advice & experiences. I suggest you use the Follow feature on any new threads you start or any other threads where you are interested in the new replies. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts because they will come looking for you as notifications. If you need information on how to do it, please click here: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) Happy sails, Host Kat

  11. Just a friendly reminder to all... Please remember the following from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Travel Agent Recommendations This means no posts naming travel agents/agencies (online or brick & mortar), cruise line "personal cruise consultants", promoters of hosted group cruises for singles/solos or any other sources/venues for cruise purchase are allowed. Or even cryptic hints. Please note, hosted dedicated singles/solos cruises are most often group cruises through a travel agency or promoter and have their own links to cruise-related material or message boards. Posting their names or links is not permitted either. Happy sails, Host Kat
  12. Hello @jakarta4104 and welcome to the Cruise Critic message board! Your new thread has been posted on an incorrect forum where it is not on topic. To help you out I have merged your new thread into an existing thread regarding your topic. It is Diamond (Crown Lounge) Access and is located on the Royal Caribbean International forum. Start at page 1 to read all the posts from your fellow Cruise Critic members. The Cruise Critic website and the message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are glad you found us! Please feel free to browse the message board categories list for our various forums. Click here Cruise Critic Community. Please read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. Please remember the following portion from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Browse Before You Post Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics. Anytime you need to start a new thread on a forum, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your topic. Word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information, they will reply to you. Also, it is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic such as one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship, port or sail date in your message if that sort of information will help your fellow Cruise Critic members help you. If you want to address a particular post already in a thread, be sure to use the Quote feature on that post as I did yours so all will be aware of what your post concerns. You type your message UNDER the light blue quote box then click the dark blue Submit Reply button. If the member has used the Follow feature on the thread, they will get a notification that you have quoted their post. If you ever need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, go to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. You will see a large amount of "How to..." pinned threads toward the top of the forum's first page. Also, browse through the threads in the forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. I sincerely hope this will be helpful to someone new to posting on our message boards. We are glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat

The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have been there frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. And @mom says is correct about the Roll Call for your cruise. To find your fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you on your cruise, you need to post on the specific Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your line, ship and sail date. Since you did not mention your line, ship or sail date, I cannot refer you to the Roll Call thread for your cruise if one has already been created. Please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines. We also have the following Cruise Critic article from last year you might enjoy: 8 Reasons to Join a Cruise Critic Roll Call The specific Roll Call thread for your cruise is the ONLY place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions or transportation with each other to save money. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that may have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Also, they may have already posted share requests that may interest you. Roll Calls are for people to get to know one another before their cruise. Therefore, there will be all kinds of discussion! Once you locate the Roll Call thread for your specific line, ship and sail date if one is already created, first read through the whole thread to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you. Then use the dark blue Reply to this topic button to post an introductory post about yourself on the Roll Call thread. When done with your message, click the dark blue Submit Reply button. If you want to address a particular post already in the thread, be sure to use the Quote feature on that post as I did yours so all will be aware of what your post concerns. You type your message UNDER the light blue quote box then click the dark blue Submit Reply button. If the member has used the Follow feature on the thread, they will get a notification that you have quoted their post. If a Roll Call thread for your specific line, ship & sail date has NOT been created, please feel free to create it! Just follow the directions in How To: Create A New Roll Call. Then sit back and wait for your fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you to join in with posts. They will appreciate you starting the Roll Call! And don't worry about any responsibilities in starting a Roll Call thread. Roll Calls belong to everyone; there is no designated leader or owner. It does not matter who started the thread. If you ever need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, go to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. 16. Often due to the fact members may not pay attention to the following portion from How To: Create A New Roll Call: In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year. When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format: Example: January 1, 2016 Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will ensure your new Roll Call topic appear in search results. They also may not pay attention to the following from the tool itself: If they use a numeric date format instead of an alpha format & do not spell the month out completely as mentioned above, the tool cannot do its job.
  17. It is a great review and I love the title!
