  1. It's good that these covid pay backs are being processed a lot faster than they used to be.
  2. I was trying to remember where those cabanas were. Are those the ones that are over the water? They look pretty nice if so.
  3. And that’s what bothers me. I don’t like give away casino fares that much either but at least the person is dropping some money there. I’m really not buying people spend a lot on board. I’d put my spending up against others and I do pretty good in that area. I really don’t care about the casino fares that offer 20 or 30 percent off. That’s not a big deal.
  4. Mine was $27.56 so that’s not terribly out of line. That was just for me so a couple would get more. The cruise before that was $6.56 so their guess was better on that one.
  5. I’ve seen a couple people say they got a deeply discounted or free 28 day Amazon cruise next February. That’s insane. Like you say a 7 day Caribbean is one thing. That’s quite another. I really don’t care about Alaska. I’ve been there a few times and that’s enough. It’s cold 10 months of the year here so it holds little appeal.
  6. At least you are getting these offers. I'm a 5 star and I'm seeing zip.
  7. While I can buy that to a degree how do they know 8 months before that a cruise isn't going to sell out? Why not give a price break if it isn't selling well instead of charging top dollar to some and giving it away to others. I have a cruise booked for late next year and I'm just annoyed enough to cancel it.
  8. That’s good to hear because it hasn’t been that way on my cruises on pinnacle ships. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone say the decor is special. I do hope people continue to post negative comments because it’s getting more difficult to book.
  9. They over estimated the port tax amount. For me, it happens on most cruises I take.
  10. Because their IT department hasn’t finished with kindergarten yet and they can’t find the plug to unplug it.
  11. While it’s not in the cards for me until I retire I’d love to do an Amazon cruise. Earlier in this thread I’m pretty sure someone said they are paying $660 for this 28 days cruise. I have “Mariner pricing” on this and it’s coming out to $10k for me. Even if I could do it no way I’d be forking over $10k while someone is paying less than $1000. Hal can’t be hurting too bad when they pull stuff like that. I’m sure I’ve poured $100 to $150 k into the hal coffers easily in the years I’ve cruised with hal. This is the thank you you get for that.
  12. Pinnacle, tamarind and Canaletto. Now weather you get sat at a table with a clear view is debatable. Club orange isn’t a specialty restaurant like the others.
  13. I know people seem to rave about it but I don’t get why. I bring all my own soaps, body lotion and hair products. I use good quality products not drug store brand so maybe that’s why.
  14. Yes I understand what you saying but I think it’s better to give an answer than a non answer. I think it’s pretty clear if it’s not there you don’t fill it out. Probably some people like an answer like that I prefer something more concrete. I can see that more if there was a mixed bag lately but I really haven’t heard of anyone having to do that in the last month or two including myself.
  15. It never matters if I do it or not, my picture always gets taken again. It’s not mandatory.
  16. I haven’t heard anyone say lately that they’ve had to fill it out. Which destinations did you hear needed to? I could maybe see if for grand cruises. There is no health form required at this time.
  17. Amazingly enough I was able to pay for my cabana in cdn a couple months back. That's the first time that has ever happened. I wish the option was open to book in cdn more often.
  18. If people are complaining about having to pay the tax really spending a ton on board? While some may, I'm thinking that is not true of everyone. These offers seem to be for inside and oceanview rooms. When I look at cruises later in the game those seem to be the ones that are left. I also don't understand the logic of offering free cruises to those that have cruise already booked with Hal. What is to prevent people from cancelling every "full" fare cruise to take all free cruises unless these "full" fare cruises are non-refundable.
  19. Yeah, that’s the same as traveling. People with too much money.
  20. Most? I've seen way more posts to say people have spent very little in the casino. I've seen one person say they spend thousands You see people on this thread so they don't go to the casino period. It's a huge turn off for me to book any more cruises.
  21. Exactly, then complain about paying port tax 🙄. Feeling super bad for you.
  22. That’s not what I’m saying. At the time you got the offer did you have multiple hal cruises booked?
