  1. Check tickets.museivaticani.va/home for the days you like to visit. Some tours are not available every day.
  2. We stayed at Hotel Genio, 1-minute walk to Piazza Navona. On the first afternoon, we walked to the river to see Justice building, and St Peter's Basilica, continued to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Next day we walked to Castel Sant' Angelo, St Peter's Basilica, and Vatican Museum. We bought tickets for the before public small group tour at 7:30am (open at 8:30a to the public). For 2 hrs the lady guide took us slowly and explained in detail. There's no talking, no taking pic/videos in the Sistine Chapel, so she explained to us before hand. Then we had 25-minutes inside Sistine Chapel, quietly enjoy everything in awe. After that she took us on way to the gift shop to finish the 2hr tour. We continued with breakfast inside the Vatican Museum. As we got out, there was a long line of people waiting to buy tickets (they could've bought online). We then took uber to the Colosseum. We had bought tickets for the underground tour of the arena (and upper). After that we went to the (nearby) Forum Forum and Pallatine. Lots of walking, >30,000 steps that day. But saw so much.
  3. NCL will buy the cheapest tickets. Expect to pay, especially if within N America. For international travel, some airlines may allow 1 or even 2 pieces checked in free. If you have status with an airline alliance, or credit card that covers 1st piece luggage with certain airlines, that'll be good, otherwise expect to pay.
  4. Transatlantic is repositioning. Or you can also tick "Extraordinary" which would include South Africa to Dubai, some Pacific or Trans-pacific, and Panama Canal.
  5. In our last two cruises, 2021.12.5 TA out of Rome, and 2022.3.29 out of Colon (for Panama canal), they don't check anyone about arrival time slots. It's just who ever are in line. So those online sign up for spots, is just hoping people will spread out in their pre-planned time of arrival.
  6. We were on the Getaway TA last year in Dec. While crossing the ocean, it was very slow, some times no connection. We had regular internet, and I was basically checking emails, and some banking accounts. The Getaway had not sailed for 1.5 years, and that was its first TA since resuming cruise. Don't know if it's gotten better.
  7. For some cruises I've been following, the prices did go down with this 40% sale.
  8. Why be questioning like that? People do what they feel is right, not what you feel is right.
  9. My wife and I each have a refillable water bottle. We get water from buffet area. No extra cost.
  10. Those bottles should get stickers when my friend check in. So that shouldn't be a problem. For this "friend with benefit", I'll be sure to share wine with them. It's only fair. So, the next cruises I'm coming on are... 😜
  11. This problem had happened to us before. Now it's happening again. Last time I waited a few days to try again and it worked. For NCL, it's a lower priority problem.
  12. So if I don't have beverage package, I'll need to find a good friend who has the package, to check in together, to have the corkage fee waived.😁
  13. Can you tell us how much it cost for that cab driver? Thanks.
  14. We plan to be on Epic soon. Which sailing will you be on, and where will this sweetie be? 😁
  15. I never book hotels through NCL or any other cruiselines. I always book on my own. When you book direct with the hotels, you can get the points/discounts directly with the hotel. If there are any issues, you don't need to go through 3rd party to try to deal with. But some people would always book thru NCL or other cruiselines, rather than doing some research, because they feel they can trust NCL and things will be taken care of.
  16. Panama is not difficult to get around. From Panama airport, there are lots of taxis, and uber, to take you into City of Panama. For us it costed around US$22 uber, while another couple paid something like US$14 (Panama airport to a Panama city hotel) Hotels are cheap in Panama. You can spend high prices to be booked with NCL chosen hotel, or often much cheaper at other comparable class hotels. Many of us in the 2022.3.29 Panama cruise booked our own hotels in Panama City (for much cheaper). Many people also arranged their own transportation from Panama city to Colon. In our case, we had four couples staying at Le Meridien. We arranged a big van to take us, with a detour stop at For San Lorenzo for an hour, then to ship, US$75/couple.
  17. I had a cruise booked using one CruiseFirst cert. Today I asked my TA to re-price it as the price dropped, and to try applying a second CF cert due to the promo. The promo is for two CN certs, but in the past it also applied to two CF certs. This time the system allowed the second CF cert. Hope NCL doesn't come back to say it's not allowed and remove the second CF cert.
