  1. If you liked that, you should try Chef's Table...

We had it booked but I canceled because I didn't think we would like it. After talking to other people on the ship who went, I was sorry we canceled. Our next cruise is on the Magic, and I heard that it takes place in the kitchen on that ship so, we'll skip it on the Magic. I wonder if the Sunshine has a private dining room for it? We'll be on her the beginning of next year.

  2. We were just on a cruise and went by the future cruise desk to check out what other ships were doing Curacao and Aruba. The man working there was in no rush to sell any cruises. I asked him why they changed the name of the Destiny. He told me because that was the worse ship Carnival ever had and they had to change the name because of it's bad reputation. When we told him we had been on the Triumph, he asked if we were on the 'poop' cruise. It was a very interesting conversation with someone who was suppose to promote Carnival. LOL

  3. We were on her for the April 29th cruise. We had purchased FTTF but we were also staying in a suite. We were able to sit in the waiting room on the second floor and that was because we had a suite. If we only had FTTF we would not have been able to wait with the Diamonds and Platinums.

The ship and the staff were wonderful!

  4. We were on the Conquest last week and I asked our steward how many rooms he had to clean. He told me 30 (he had the suites) but others had 37. Not once did he complain but told us it was a challenge and he enjoyed it. He didn't ask if we wanted our cabin cleaned in the morning OR at night. He said because we had a suite our cabin would be cleaned twice a day. He also interacted with us every time he saw us. He was wonderful! Actually, 99.9% ( there is always that one. LOL) of the staff were amazing! When we go on vacation I always plan on tipping extra and our room steward qualified for a very large tip at the end of the cruise!

  5. No...Return it to their location at the Hilton Marina and they will shuttle you to the port. You're trying to make this difficult for yourself. Pick up the car at the airport when you arrive and drop it at the Hilton Marina the morning of the cruise.

Thank you! I just told my husband to change it. Does the shuttle take you right to the port or do they have to pick people up at other stops?

  6. You don't need to return it to FLL, return it to one of the locations surrounding Port Everglades and they will shuttle you to the port. What rental car company do you prefer?

We haven't rented a car in many years. We are thinking about staying at the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port, which is not far from FLL, so I'd be just as easy to return there. We would rent the car to give us a little freedom and go a few places. However, if not renting a car we will stay at the Hyatt Place near 17th. I heard good reviews about the Residence Inn but if you have other suggestions we are pretty open.

  7. We are thinking of picking up a rental car from FLL and returning car to FLL the morning of the cruise, than taking a taxi to port. Do you think we'll have a long wait when returning the car the morning of the cruise? I don't want to spend an hour returning it. Any advice on which car agency is best to deal with? Thanks

  8. I've had grouper twice in my life. From what I remember it was delicious. On my upcoming Caribbean cruise I will have the chance to have it in Fort Lauderdale or in one of the ports. Anyone here have an opinions on it? I hope it's as good as I remember!

  9. I have not used FLL airport in years but will be flying in a few weeks from now. I have just read some reviews of this airport and not one single one of them were good! I've read the staff is very rude. Anyone flying in or out off FLL experience this? BTW- we have a domestic flight

  10. Yes agree.

Especially after the updated upgrades to the suites.

Staying there for the fourth time this August and have seen the place improve over the years.

    Enjoy, we do.

We had this hotel booked but after reading many bad reviews about how dirty and outdated this hotel is, we have cancelled. I've also heard that the elevators are always breaking down and if you are on a high floor, it takes forever to leave the morning of your cruise.
