  1. Supplying food service gloves would help like I see locally at salad bars might help along with doing things like HAL where staff serves you at the buffet. It was a thing at the restart, but has since been ignored. Waiting for an outbreak is too late. Just be proactive.
  2. Have to say there were some days I didn't use my vouchers until right before the old midnight cutoff and got bottles of beer to go...
  3. Recall an update recently that the drink vouchers only are good for liquor based drinks. Is this a thing or did I read something wrong? More of a beer guy here and only get occasional cocktails.
  4. You are so correct about the heat. No breeze and it was a long day. One guy passed out on the boat from heat. Too hot for me to not even want to drink the cheap beers they were selling.....
  5. Did partial transit on a shore excursion in March off Constellation. The smaller size of the boat used gave you a really closeup view. Excursion ended up in the Pacific at Panama City. We were bussed back to Colon. Going back to Colon in December, but I feel once is enough even as interesting as it was.
  6. Maybe people being polite and leaving their trays in their cabin like they should for the safety and comfort of others.
  7. Park West was booted off ships a few years ago. They returned, but complaints continue. The kickback that the cruise lines get makes them still a thing... https://www.nbcbayarea.com/investigations/consumer/art-switcheroo-vacation-art-auctions/3236908/
  8. Park West and their flea market of stuff taking over the Reflections lounge would be annoying to me. 13 days of it is too much. Agree the crew on Connie is great , but letting Park West take over the best public indoor space on the ship is so wrong...... Just a few times in this lounge on our 11 night sailing was bad enough in November as the Park West clutter was annoying.
  9. So the beginning and end of sale hours are the best time to get a 'sale' at 50 percent off. The fake retail price for the drink package only goes up in the middle of a promotion. Got to be quick for sure! Celebrity recently hired a new Senior Vice President of sales from NCL. Maybe an old NCL trick? https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/people-opinions/katina-athanasiou-steps-svp-sales-celebrity-cruises
  10. Shower is large and shower curtain does not cling to you like one's on Royal's older ships. First time a shower curtain did not bother me.
  11. Constellation was not revolutionized after all the hype and she is not shabby. Public areas got new carpet and upholstery refreshes. Cabins are a little dated with original interiors, but not worth spending too much on even though she is 8 years older than Eclipse. A good and wise cost savings on Celebrity's part to cancel Revolution upgrades. Taking extra usb charging ports onboard is not a big deal. Used to it sailing mostly older ships. Rather the cruise lines save their cash to pay down debt.
  12. Throwing their IT department under the bus and putting the blame on them for the sudden increase for the drink package during this sale is sad. It would of been fixed by now if it was an IT issue. IT makes mistakes as well as corporate. Casting blame on the IT folks is just a deflection on corporate's part and still no correction online at this point..
  13. The problem we had was our ship tour was a large group. Felt it attracted the vendors more. Looking for a smaller group next time with Dora or go on our own.
  14. FYI. The email address above said it was not valid when I tried to email. Trying to contact her on her website now. Your message wasn't delivered to dora@cartagenattour.com because the domain cartagenattour.com couldn't be found. Check for typos or unnecessary spaces and try again.
  15. Royal seems to not do intense renovations to their cabins, so I don't expect it on sister line Celebrity. A clean but dated cabin is what you get. Take your usb outlets with you and don't expect any kind of upgrades cabin wise. The real deal now after revolution was cancelled on Constellation and Infinity.
  16. Constellation cancelled her Revolution with all the hype that Celebrity did prior to Covid. She seemed in decent shape to me back in March. Public areas got a refresh, but cabins not so much. Cabins still dated, but still ok to book her again.
  17. Leave it up to the passengers already booked to decipher if it is a mistake going live too soon or not? Poor business practice at this point. Should not have all these issues and the need to call to question pricing.
  18. Call reps with Celebrity were telling people on the phone it was an IT price glitch earlier today. Price would be corrected later. So far, no correction.
  19. It was $43.99 earlier yesterday. Now $63.99 per day.
  20. Some say it was only suppose a flash sale for new bookings starting May 24th. Just a finger pointing session now within different Celebrity departments for now. Who knows if this is a mistake or not at this point?
  21. Agree. Blaming it on IT is an easy out due to their past history of mistakes/glitches. I give IT credit now as I don't think it is their fault. The numbers went south with cancellations and rebookings at lower prices.
  22. The reduced excursions prices seem to be ok. Just commenting on the sudden increase in the retail price of drink packages after the Memorial Day sale started yesterday.
  23. No problem. Just trying to keep those looking for a price correction that the call reps are promising informed here.
  24. Nope. US dollars and higher price compared to yesterday.
