They need to hire a better proof reader. I find it amazing how many businesses post information or send correspondence with typos, and spelling and grammar errors. I wonder if they outsource that function to India and The Phillipines.

That’s what I thought. Whenever I see typos my antennas go up screaming scam scam!! 😂. However, it appeared to come from RC when I clicked on the sender’s info.

I recently asked a question on how to find a TA. However, I always book a cruise directly with the cruise line. The only reason I inquired about finding a TA is if we decided to go on a transatlantic cruise, we would definitely want a TA to make all travel arrangements from flights, hotels, and the cruise. They know which areas are considered to be safe and special tours. Therefore, IMO, I would only book through a travel agency if I were traveling to an airport out of our country. For cruises departing the U.S., I would deal directly with the cruise line.

Many years ago we purchased something onboard, but I don’t remember what. The only thing I remember is that we were pulled aside when we disembarked and was told we had to pay $35 IN CASH! Imagine if someone didn’t have enough cash on hand?

Your response has been the most helpful. With non-refundable cruise deposits, if something came up and I had to cancel, I’m really not crazy about adding another cancellation fee. 🙄

Guess I need to Google more. Haven’t found any TA yet.

I have a question about booking with a TA. If you have a TA book a cruise for you, do you lose your cruise deposit PLUS a fee charged by the TA?

When booking a cruise sailing out of Europe, does RCI quote you a price for airfare? If airfare goes up at the time of the cruise, do you pay the difference? I have never cruised out of another country.

I received my Next Generation Passport in the mail today, 10/17/2022. My husband received the original style passport.

Hooray! I just received an email notifying me that my application has been approved and my passport is being printed. It said I should receive it 10/19/2022!

People gain and lose weight all the time. But it doesn’t matter now. My friend decided not to do the TSA Pre-check.

My friend has dealt with eating disorders because of her weight issues and, despite losing weight, she still sees herself as overweight and is embarrassed to divulge her weight, even to her husband. So, what a couple of you seem to think is so trivial is something very painful to her. Now I’m sorry I asked. She was right, people are judgmental of people with weight issues.

They could at least offer a future cruise credit. It would cost RCI more money if she passed COVID-19 to others on the ship.

Many here do care. My heart and prayers go out to you and your wife. I can’t imagine what you’ve been going through and will be going through. My husband’s arm was amputated in 1975 and is still going through phantom pain. Prayers coming your way. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
