  1. I heard the $95 is an experiment on the Vista. Everything is more expensive on the Vista

It's on all Dream and Vista class ships

The cost is $75 USD per person ($95 USD per person on Carnival Breeze, Carnival Dream, Carnival Magic and Carnival Vista). An automatic 15% gratuity will be added to the cover charge of the Chef’s Table and the charges will be applied directly to the guest’s Sail & Sign account. For reservations made prior to the price increase to $95 USD, the original price will be honored

  2. It is impossible for Carnival to please everyone. Passengers need to try a little harder to be reasonable or not. The outcome will be the same.

Or just scrap the entire gift program.

Allow P&D to get $10 OBC

Or discounted internet, steakhouse, photo or spa etc offerings.($10-20)

People would probably still complain, but they would have more control over what they are complaining about.

  3. They finally clarified the pricing

I would still bring your confirmation, if you booked under the previous pricing

  4. Thank you but I think that is the case right? I was wondering if there was a picture of the actual item inside Thanks

Don't think there is a picture of the actual charger anywhere. When people actually start receiving them someone might post a picture.

  5. Just saw a small quantity of studio cabins open up for the Epic transatlantic sailing in two weeks.

    Norwegian Epic

    from Barcelona

    October 30, 2016

studio cabin $599 (plus $103.84 fees)

And it qualifies for a perk.

I did not book directly with Norwegian because their website indicates studio cabins are sold out. Instead I found some inventory available with an online travel agency.

If you click through, the studios will show up on the NCL site

  6. The only other thing I can think of is the Vista has a unique way of doing the CT so maybe that is more. That is just a guess.

    Sent from my iPhone

That was my initial thought, but if that's the case, it would seem like they would have mentioned the price difference for Vista.

    THE CHEF’S TABLE

Carnival has an exciting fine dining option for our guests – The Chef’s Table. This one-of-a-kind culinary experience includes an exquisite multi-course private dinner hosted by one of the line’s master chefs along with a private champagne reception (soft drinks for kids) and a personalized tour of the galley.

A select group of 12-16 guests (children must be at least 12 years of age) will enjoy champagne and hors d’ouevres hosted by the ship’s chef de cuisine. The chef then takes the group on a personalized tour to see the galley in operation, providing participants with a unique perspective on Carnival’s extensive food and beverage operations.

The evening concludes with a sumptuous full-service dinner with delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts created by the line’s master chefs as well as red and white house wine. Depending on the vessel, the meal takes place in non-traditional dining venues throughout the ship – the galley, library, conference center, etc. The Carnival Vista has a dining room specifically for Chef’s Table with window views into the galley.

What’s exciting about the this experience is that it is anything but typical! Seasons and ports and whatever the Chef is currently delving into will influence the final outcome. This could be flavors, ingredients from local sources or techniques. It is a chance for the Chef to showcase the best of his/her abilities and share it with those lucky few.

The cost is $75 - $95 USD per person. An automatic 15% gratuity will be added to the cover charge of the Chef’s Table and the charges will be applied directly to the guest’s Sail & Sign account.

The dinner(s) as well as the dinner date(s) are subject to the number of guests wishing to participate in this experience. The dress code follows the dress code specified for that evening on board; since guests are taken on a personalized tour of the galley, open-toed, heels and shoes with slippery soles are discouraged.

Once onboard, the guest’s Sail & Sign card will be charged.

    On Board Reservation Procedures
