Nebr.crusier do you remember what shuttle that was? We are actually trying to do just the opposite. We are looking at disembarking at FT Lauderdale and embarking in Miami. All the places I have talked to won’t go to the port only the airport.

It can't be - they are still selling the bottles.
Not to me. I will revert to using a refillable bottle.
-
Probably for the best. We will bring on refillable bottles. Need to cut down on plastic bottles anyway. The ocean is filled with plastic garbage. Cruise lines should really lead the way in keeping the oceans clean.

And this will be their justification for jacking up the price.:)

From Royal FAQ page
Room service is available any time of the day or night - simply order from the room service menu located in your stateroom/suite (service charge of $7.95* applies). An 18% gratuity is additional and will automatically be added to your check. Our new room service menu features several upgraded selections including a Wagyu Beef Hamburger, Philly Cheesesteak and Grilled Salmon with Cucumber Mint Yogurt and Roasted Asparagus.
*Service charge subject to change without notice.

Absolutely they should be tipped. Do you tip for Room Service at a hotel? Room Service food at every hotel I have stayed has an up charge to the food and tip on top of that.

So you are saying one should tip on top of the 18% gratuity that is already added to the service charge.

Wow that's awful. Before you could go in and set up certain preference. I can't find any of that info
I read that they removed that function.

tell your friend to look at provision 12 under trip cancellation.

Here an article I found that explains it

The bottom line is the the package is $50 right now. That could be 20% off of what A Royal executive thinks they should be charging. Personally, I feel $50 is 200% more than I want to pay.

Thanks for your comments John. Having looked at some of the reviews about the off site parking lot I think that parking at POM, though more costly, is the wiser choice.

I am wondering if is reasonable possible to disembark a ship at Ft Lauderdale, catch a shuttle to a hotel where I left my car, drive to Miami, park at off site lot, catch their shuttle to cruise terminal in Miami. This would be happening on a Monday. My biggest concern is how long I might have to wait to catch the shuttle at Ft Lauderdale.

I recently was on a Royal Cruise were they had a group of quilters with their machines. I was interested since I quilt myself and only imagined bringing my machine. But they had to turn in all sharps (pins, scissors, blades) every night to be secured. The machines were not a problem at all. Theses ladies said they did this once a year.

If she drydocked in May 2017 wouldn't the 2.5 mark be Oct-Dec 2019?

I came up with $13938 or 9800GBP

Jones Act deals with cargo
Pvsa deals with Passengers
The Passenger Vessel Services Act, (PVSA), 46 U.S.C. § 55103 (b), places the same restrictions on the coastwise movement of people. It is this act that prohibits commercial vessels such as cruise ships from allowing passengers to board at one U.S. port and debark at another U.S. port.
The applicable CBP regulation regarding penalties for violating the PVSA is found in 19 CFR § 4.80(b)(2), which provides that "[t]he penalty imposed for the unlawful transportation of passengers between coastwise points is $300 for each passenger so transported and landed as adjusted by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990), see Federal Register.
The penalty is now$762.00

I agree with you. I sailed in Sep '17 & Feb '18 on Grandeur. The Food has gone down hill. I have called them and told they have too much Salt in the food. I always ask for Steamed Veg at every meal.
They must have listened. I was on the Grandeur 3-14 Mar 18 and actually had to add salt to a couple meals.

Qualified Military Personnel
- Applies to US Military Personnel and Canadian National Defense personnel (and their traveling companions in the same stateroom) of 18 – 20 years of age.
How does "travel companions"(plural) mean married? I would think that if Carnival meant to only allow married couples they would have used the term "spouse".

Unless you are 25, you won’t be able to cruise on Carnival

If one of them is military they can.

The 40% increase ($10.00) is only on the execution fee for new applications. There is no increase on renewals.

Left is port right is starboard. The deck plan I saw shows 8624 on the right side. The stairs appear to be next to the elevators

When you get your wife to quit smoking by pointing out the fractional cruise cost of each cigarette. I guess I just got her to change from one addiction to another.
-
Heck I haven't broken the 1000 Hour mark yet. But on the up side I do have 41 days booked within the next year.
ETA: my wife just said "so far"

None of the ports are coming up for me.
ETA: The above post was not there when I started my post. LOL
