  1. We drive to Florida from Lafayette, Indiana taking I65 to Montgomery, Alabama, 231 through Dothan, Alabama to I10 to I75 to wherever we are going in Florida. We usually go to Bradenton and it takes two days.

We like to avoid Atlanta if at all possible. Sometimes we get to Birmingham during rush hour but it's a lot better than Atlanta.

Two of us take turns driving and we stop about every two or so hours.

    Safe travels.

I second this recommendation. Last time I drove through Atlanta it took me over two hours on a EARLY (6 am) Saturday morning.

  2. My dad would have been one to say this! Not necessarily as a questions but as a "funny". He was the king of corny jokes/phrases. I was sooo embarrassed by this growing up but now that he's gone I miss it!

To be honest, the Stewart question was real, the catch-up question was me being (as my daughter calls it) Dad-funny. :)

  3. Will someone explain how my assistant waiter whom I give a cash tip to on day 3 will know to turn-in the tip because I may or may not have removed my auto grats on the last night of a 12 night cruise.

  4. The answer is "yes". As soon as your request is processed, that OBC will show up as part of your "pre-cruise OBC, spend it now!" on your Cruise Planner.

    :)

Any idea of how soon after you redeem the point that the OBC will show up? My cruise is March 3, 2018, if I redeem the points today will the OBC show up by in the next couple weeks or will it be closer to March?

I was reading on one of the port threads the excursion I am considering fills up quick and I not want to have to pay now with my credit card if I don't have to.

  5. Reminds me of a quote from a dear friend of mine, that weighs about 350lbs.,

"There's only two things that I don't like; Lima beans and... I don't remember the other.":D

Actually, having read your comment, there is something I do avoid (not just at the buffet but in general). PEAS. I think it comes from feeding my kids baby food peas mush.

  6. Internal limits like you describe apply to things like jewelry, fine arts, firearms, cash, etc. A purse should be covered under the personal property limit. There can be a reduction in personal property coverage for losses while traveling but even that would still likely be more than enough to cover the cost of a LV purse.

Have you read the "Baggage" paragraph of a cruise contract? if you don't declare an excess value and pay a premium you are limited to a couple hundred bucks for total loss. Damage to one item would be prorated as a portion of the total.
