  1. Looking at all the boards, there seems to be a lot of inconsistency of when they load the entertainment. For our Oasis sailing, it was the first day of the month prior to sail date. (Loaded 1 June for mid July sailing). I’d recommend checking it every morning after you check-in online. Also, on ours, entertainment and the escape room appeared available for reservations in the app half a day before it showed up in the online cruise planner. I’d recommend checking both. FYI, most slots for Aqua 80 and Frozen in Time were gone in a few days.
  2. From what I’ve read, at least on Oasis, they are not giving the OBC anymore for the “hack”. I’m not sure about that. I’d guess they would still give the OBC for cancelling within 48 hrs of the reservation. The post I saw, the person tried to cancel at the time of their reservation when they found out it wouldn’t be converted to the package.
  3. Hi @disneybabe. Did you ask guest services to contact Cape Liberty to check and see if it may have been found/turned in there? We were married years ago in Cozumel on an Allure sailing. I managed to be stupid enough to set our marriage license down at one of the port shops on the way back to the ship. Never picked it back up. Didnt realize it until we were back at sea. Before I even told my wife, I went to GS and they were on the phone with the port. Long story short, RC scoured the port shops, found the license and fedex’d it to our house. It beat us home. GS really can help.
  4. That’s nonsense. It has been reported quite a bit lately here and on different boards that this drastic UDP sales price reduction is a glitch that is never for sale. I’d fight them tooth and nail because I’ve not seen once where this sale price was real and not another of their IT CP glitches. Keep calling until you get the right CSR.
  5. I think there is a $21 surcharge for the lobster. It isn’t the MDR lobster, it is 1 1/2 lb Maine lobster. I could be wrong though.
  6. Thanks so much. We have heard great things about Derick and Shane. We’ve just received our SC survey which we’re not sure it is really useful but we’ve also read you can request a genie here so we are going to give it a shot.
  7. Hi @dleahy4444, who was your genie. Do you know what other genie’s are on Oasis right now?
  8. Hi @RFerrington. If you don’t mind me asking, who was your genie (sorry if I missed it). We are SC on Oasis in July and it sounds like you got a great one.
  9. @forty-two I’ve read due to the Key lunch time, they are asking Key guests to show for check-in NLT 11AM regardless of the time selected when you do your online check-in. Maybe they notify you closer to sail date, not sure. Others may be able to confirm.
  10. Yes, and remember, suite guests usually book their UDP reservations prior to boarding via genie/concierge so very few folks will be queueing for reservations if you board first with Key.
  11. @forty-two I believe Key guests board with or right after suites. Its been my experience boarding priority is: 1. Star Class 2. Pinnacles 3. Suites and Key Guests 4. All others/General Population The exact order may differ a little by ship/port but you’ll still be on-board before general population.
  12. We’ve never tried to book Hibachi using UDP but we’ve heard you can only book at Izumi. Maybe some others can chime in. If that is the case and you’d like to book hibachi, you may want to head straight there to book all your UDP reservations.
  13. You’ll still select a time during online check-in because the system requires it. However, Your genie will ask when you want to arrive, regardless of your online check in time. They will meet you after you check in at the curbside Star kiosk at the port. If you arrive before actual boarding is open, your genie will walk you to the port lounge until boarding is called and he/she will escort you on. Star is the first to board. Normally you will go straight to your suite first. We’ve only had one sailing where our room was not ready until about an hour after boarding. Every other time it was ready as soon as boarding started.
  14. @Ret MP. I know you usually sail at least Sky. CK still has classics nightly, including French Onion Soup.
  15. I agree with you @poocher but it was the only thing I could think of.
  16. It may sound silly but I wonder if they tint that glass so you know it is open at the top. I believe they do that on the pool deck so you know when a window is open. If I recall correctly, that was brought up with that unfortunate San Juan incident.
  17. We have; in Star no less. It was so bad the housekeeping manager and two attendants scrubbed the bathroom ceiling, floors and walls while we were out. But we didn’t fault RC really. It was right after the restart and we were last minute. I don’t think they had been using that cabin the first couple sailings. it seemed like they were totally unaware of the condition. We still had a great cruise.
  18. Spot on. Jason Liberty’s got to go! I wouldn’t be surprised if that guy didn’t slash housekeeping to once per day so he can have attendants searching every couch cushion for an actual nickel and dime.
  19. I will see your s***show and raise you 10 s***shows. We had the Premier glitch and the Aquaventure glitch. Of course RC noticed the Aquaventure glitch 12 days later. Price for Aquaventure went up $90 per person from 219 to 309 on our sailing during those 12 days. Oh, and confirmed with RC Resolutions they did not load a lot of excursions for CoCoCay to the Oasis CP for our sailing. They only loaded them for Independence which is there the same day. Most of the CCC excursiins that werent loaded are now sold out without ever having been offered to the almost sold out Oasis.
  20. I was thinking more along the lines of that family with the kids set on the water park. Considering a SeaWorld/Aquatica full season pass is only $115 per person, they may decide a day at Thrill Waterpark at $133/person for 8 hrs might night be a great value and rethink their plans. Then again, maybe not. Lol.
  21. Fair enough, I see your point on the take it or leave it. I also wouldn’t cancel because of CCC prices. Now that I know the hack for seeing add-on pricing before I book, I do take peek but add-ons really doesn’t factor in whether I cruise or not. I was just playing devil’s advocate.
  22. I would expect to see pricing on options before signing a contract. In your example, if I thought the add-on services were too much, I could look for a competitor that provides similar services to consultant #1’s add-ons. This is an option for ports other than Labadee or CCC. Not an option on CCC, it is buy or don’t buy. RC does not let you browse add-on pricing until after you book. You can’t factor that in when choosing a cruise line. I’m not sure any of them do. Where as Airlines show baggage fees up front and I can plan accordingly or choose an airline that gives me bags included.
  23. Me too. My company is so large, they dictate the T&Cs and rarely stray from FFP model. The money spent is so large, LPTA is the way to go. But I dont pretend to know what RC contracts say.
  24. Fact is, I stated I don’t know what is in their contract My point was sure you can allow for fluctuations but based on the volume of supplies they purchase, they are likely to use a firm fixed price model. As for cash grab, maybe RC should be fully transparent and let folks browse the cruise planner prior to booking. Lets see how that supply and demand shakes out once people can see what add ons will cost them above the fare.
