  1. Our DS has traveled with his insulin for many years - we use a cool pack in an insulated lunch bag along with a couple chocolate milk (his choice for raising low blood sugar). Since insulin can be stored at room temperature for the duration of the trip he has not had any problems.
  2. We book as soon as they are released and we see the itinerary we want - for us the price has always increased over time so we are happy to book our cabin.
  3. Rotterdam is a short train ride from Amsterdam, I would stay there and train down in the morning to board.
  4. DH and teenage sons wore khaki type slacks and polo or button down long sleeve shirt (they found dining room might be cool as well as the theater) and decent sneakers. I wore capris, slacks or skirt/dress as I would to dinner out at home.
  5. Somewhere I have seen a schedule of the roll out of decorations by ship - should be at least started when you board.
  6. Sorry to be off topic - I noted the home city of the person I was answering, that was all.
  7. It seemed bigger as the area past the bed was nice as was the small chaise/sofa on that side of the cabin. There was a desk area as well as bureau with drawers there. It is a narrow walk past the end of the bed but was not an issue for us. We are so looking forward to our first trip to Budapest in May this year.
  8. Apex was shade of grey and cream with touches of deep purple - nice room and great bathroom.
  9. Try Travel Vase (much cheaper than airfare)- these are what I have used.
  10. Deluxe Interior on Apex was a fair bit larger than other interior and a lovely room.
  11. They have always managed to find one for me and I also have a vase that folds flat that I can use.
  12. We did not need to do anything - go to Blu the first evening and they will recognize your room assignment.
  13. Perhaps it relates to specific ports that may not offer due to local rules or an IT issue. I usually find somewhere to pick up fresh flowers on the way to the pier.
  14. For me a Med cruise is very different from the Caribbean islands - focused on long days in port trying to see as much as possible. After that a shower and dinner was lovely but we were ready to rest knowing we would be up early the next morning to do it again. Also the fewer passengers on Edge will make the lines to exit and re-enter the ship less long.
  15. June will be hot and humid in the daytime and not very cool in the evening, though a moving ship keeps things cooler.
  16. Headed east we usually want to spend at least three days in the embarkation city (if I have flown that far I enjoy exploring that city). We usually land in the morning, drop our bags at the hotel and if possible take a shower. Then we head outside to walk our feet off, get fresh air and sunshine. Keep going until about 8 pm local time. Now heading back west it takes us longer to acclimate and quit waking up at 3 am. This year we are doing the eastbound TA instead of flying - I know we lose and hour most days but that will not be an issue for us.
  17. Parking at the Orlando airport was completely full this weekend - adds to the fun. Lived in Orlando 45 years ago and hated spring break crowds even then.
  18. Also remember that those excursions with the same description may be presented by different vendors so the reviews would not necessarily apply.
  19. Not sure of you have time but many public recreation departments are now offering novice classes. $70 is really steep. It is a great game - mix up badminton, ping pong and a bit of tennis.
  20. So sorry that happened. This is just another issue I am happy to avoid by packing carry on for travel - not a choice for everyone but works for us. Additionally makes travel by train in Europe easier.
  21. We travel with our own stainless steel refillable bottle and refill in the room and keep cool. The bottles in the room are aluminum and may have sharp edges.
  22. Has been on the basketball court on our last couple cruises. Wind makes it a very tricky game.
  23. In Amsterdam it was a simple walk off without interaction with anyone - we were not carrying any luggage so perhaps that would be different.
