I downloaded the new AP. (Fairly certain).  If I see the screen you posted is that an indication that I am on the new AP?  If not, what is?

Everything looks to be working fine and I know there was a Chat feature on the older version as well.

    Thank you.

They've normally given me 1 gallon for my CPAP, which would be 16 cups, so you should have more than enough.

Technically, the request for distilled water under Dietary Restrictions says "Distilled water (for CPAP machine use ONLY)". The note under Medical Requests General Information says "Distilled water is only provided for use with your c-pap machine, onboard free of charge in gallon units, provided you submit a request in advance of sailing." So, technically, they will not provide free distilled water for mixing medication. However, I doubt that the cabin steward or anyone else will verify that you have a CPAP machine and refuse you the water if you don't.

Where do you find this two forms to preorder Distilled water?

    thanks

Answered my own question with a little digging.  The EZ air sight has a link where you can look up your flight route and it will tell you - in my case 1st bag free.

I only use EZ air for international since Southwest out of Denver is hard to beat domestically and you get free bags.

My comment was related to the free checking bag that one receives on United domestic flights only when the flight is purchased with the United charge card.

On an International flight it does not matter if the United card is used to purchase the flight. (This would also apply (one free checked bag) on any Domestic connecting flight)

I found a decent price with United flights on EZ air. For those who have used this option, does the charge on your credit card show as billed directly to the airline or does it code as a charge to Princess?

Princess, so no free luggage on United.  Time to get an AA card where you are not required to use your AA CC to get the luggage benefit.

Gratuity IS included in the specialty restaurant up charge

    IT's a separate 18% charge now.

@cruzsnooze, I guess you will eventually be paying two if you decide to dine where there is a cover charge.  I prefer to view it has an increase in the cover charge with a required service charge.  Personally I find Princess’s cover charges responsible compare to their competitors.

Gratuity is included in the up charge.l We don't care to triple tip. We've already tipped for the MDR we're not eating at and the gratuity is included in the service charge for the specialty restaurant. Twice tipped on the same meal. enough is enough.

Since the gratuity is no longer included in the Specialty dining cover charge, eventually there is only one way you can avoid paying it.  Realistically Princess has increased the cover charge for Speciality dining.

If it tries to charge you, go back in later and see if it recognizes your package.
You should see a note on top on the page that shows you have dining credits available.  If, not you will see a charge of $70 or $78 dollars but a balance of $0.00 when hitting the reserve button.

Exactly how it worked for us included the note on the previous screen that noted that we had a create.  Perfect explanation.

I often wonder if people “assume” they are being charged because of charge card number and do not noticed that it is zeroed out.

I also discovered that if you want to make a change, you have to cancel your reservation first.  It takes some time for the credit to reappear.

We have premier and I booked on app and my credit card was charged. I called Princess who advised me it would be rectified on board, I advised them I wasn’t happy as we don’t sail until 27/4 and will be out of pocket until then …..they weren’t prepared to refund

If you cancel the reservations, you should a refund to the original form of payment.
if you currently try to book additional nights, does the AP tell you that you have credits to use?

If you booked a paid for your cruise prior to December 1, 2023 then it's included for full suites. I'd after that date, it's no longer an included perk and carries the same charge as everyone else pays.
it has never been part of the premier fare/package.

My letter from Princess, stated that I was eligible for this benefit since I booked by December 1, 2023.

I cancelled them this morning then went back in to see if the offer amounts changed to give me better chances and they haven't yet.  But it also shows me being able to make offers on cabins below my current level so my guess is it hasn't updated with the new cabin info yet.  When i booked a few weeks ago, it took a little over 24 hours to be able to get into the system to make offers so my hope is that it will update by tomorrow and ill try again.

However, when we did upgrade last night, we got the highest that was still available, S5 so everything else above that may already be booked.  We are only about 2 months out from the cruise.

    Thanks

We are on the two Enchanted cruises right before you April 6 and April 13.  Keep us posted as I would be curious what kind of bid adjustment that they might make.

    Enjoy your cruise.

As DallasG  the benefit of the current plan were added when they started charging for things that were included in the base fare.

Passengers are just asking for what they booked.

Many lines grandfather these types of changes you get what was in place at the time you booked.

I understand your point. I believe  that approach would be impractical with all the cruise line changes.  You are suggesting that when Princess decided to add a surcharge for Casual dining, add a mandatory gratuity on the speciality dining fee, add a charge for Medallion shipping charge, increased the cost of internet, etc. that Princess should keep track by individual and implement the changes by individual booking dates?  No freakin way, especially given all the changes.
IMO it is more reasonable to increase the price of individual optional extras, than increase the base price for everyone.  Some people do not want all those optional items.

The  fact that Princess allows you to pay an extra $10 a day pp to upgrade a package seems like a fair and reasonable approach. Customer’s decision.

The "50" in "Plus 50 package" is Princess' indication that @louden bought Plus at the old $50 price.

Thanks.  I was confused about the complaint.  If they want the benefits of the current plan, then they need to pay  another $10 a day pp.  Simple enough.  What am I missing?

Regarding the "Plus 60" plan.  Our last cruise aboard the Sky in January was our last with a "Plus 50" Package.  Despite the press release last fall which simply stated that "Princess Plus" would now include two casual dinners per cruise I was told that we had "Old" P+ and we were not entitled to these casual dinners.  Passenger Services had no explanation but would not provide the casual dinners. They pointed out that there was a small symbol beside our account that indicated "old" plan.  Very disappointed with their position.

Are you saying that you paid $60 a person per day and Princess will not provide all the benefit is the current $60 a day plan?  Or did you pay something less than $60 per day per person.

    Did you try repricing?

For our Jan. 13th cruise, we received a phone call Jan. 9th and the follow-up email on Jan. 11th.  Word of warning though!  They called my phone first and I didn’t answer b/c I didn’t recognize the number. It did NOT ring up Princess Cruises and they did NOT leave a message!  They immediately called my husband’s phone and I saw it was the same number so I answered it. Thank goodness! It really was an awesome experience. Fingers crossed that you get the call!

We’re either of you able to book the Sanctuary prior to boarding?

We are on a 30 day cruise soon with the Plus package, which would give us each only 2 casual dining meals. I’m sure it would have been sold in segments (it’s a trans Pacific) but how do I find out?

It seems crazy to me that it’s only 2 per cruise - we have 2 x 7 day B2Bs next year that would give us 4 meals in 14 days compared to 2 meals in 30 days.
I know we won’t starve but we prefer the Alfredo’s pizza to the Lido pizza, so having the option to eat more meals there would be nice.

    1.  Search for cruises.

    2. put in you cruise date range.

    3.  select your ship only.

    4. view cruises.

OP will have access to the Concierge's Lounge while on the Enchanted.  All Royal Class ships have them (Enchanted, Sky, Royal, Majestic, Regal, Discovery).

The Grand/GEM Class ships (Grand, Diamond, Sapphire, Crown, Ruby, Emerald, Caribbean) DO NOT have a Concierge's Lounge, but do have access to a Concierge who will assist you if you can not get something resolved from the Customer Service Counter.  S/he is available behind the scenes.  No office, but if you ask to speak to Concierge, they will get back to you.

Too be more specific: When I was in isolation, she tracked me down and asked if I needed anything.  I did not inform her of my situation.  After isolation, Silviya stopped by during breakfast in Sabatini's to see how I was doing.  We worked together on another cruise before the split.  So when I met her again, she gave me her direct extension.

I am only speaking from personal experience to those that may not be on a Royal Class ship.  I hope others will also benefit in knowing that they will have access to a Concierge (not readily advertised) when cruising on a Grand/GEM class ship.

I have been in a suite on the Emerald Princess several times.  The most recent was 1/23.  I was not aware of a Conceirge, I received no literature, or any introduction.  Maybe something new. I know there is not a lounge.

I received an email from Princess with a number to call for 360 reservations for suite guests. So if your travel summary shows 360 $0 and you want to go but don’t want to pay in advance, call 1-888-304-8360 and make your reservation. If you made your reservation on the app and paid, your charge will be adjusted once onboard. The Princess rep I spoke to said to go to Guest Services but I’m going to go to the Suite Concierge because I feel I’ll get a better resolution. I’m pretty sure the only option will be refundable OBC, which is fine with me.

Good for you.  When did you received the email from Princess that asked you to call?

    Thanks

This is why I only use cash for OB expenses now. Too many errors and difficult to do anything about after you disembark.

Interesting how few errors there are when you use cash as opposed to a CC.

Interesting approach.  Princess only requires you to maintain a cash balance/deposit on your account?

Or are you suggesting that Princess does not require any charge card information or for you put any cash into your account?

Hello all. We are sailing on the Enchanted 10 day Caribbean cruise this March. We are currently on the Emerald Deck with an obstructed balcony. We have received a notice from PC on bid opportunities for various cabin upgrades. We might entertain a bid for a deluxe non obstructed cabin. I know you don't have any control on location and we are pretty flexible on locations but my fear if successful, we could be put into a connecting room. The ship is sold out so not sure how upgrades could still be possible. Could be a bunch of guarantee cabins available? Would appreciate some of your thoughts and related bid experiences.

    Thank you

If you would be disappointed with a connecting cabin, I suggest you do not bid.
