Best Overwater Cabana?
DoctorWhoGirl replied to sunshinetricia's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Don’t fret if you get #10. We were #10 last fall and it was amazing- definitely not too close to the beach like it appears on the map. The regular beach club seating is there and most people stay right in front of the area with the chairs. We never had anyone swim near our cabana other than the people in the one right next to us. Our views were incredible because there was only 1 cabana next to us, and it sat back closer to the beach than ours did. -
My teens have had no problems ordering milkshakes at Johnny Rockets using their vouchers

Live from Jewel of the Seas Transatlantic 2022
DoctorWhoGirl replied to Deeliteful's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just found and read this thread…all caught up - looks like a wonderful cruise so far, other than the brief quarantine, not fun! I am sailing Jewel in December with my sister and mother (girls cruise - yea!) so it’s fun to see all the pictures and hear the great comments on the MDR food and amazing crew. I absolutely love meeting and getting to know the crew when I cruise. You mentioned free specialty coffee at Cafe Lattatudes for Diamond and above. Is this in addition to the Diamond drink vouchers? I hate using vouchers for coffee at the lower price point than cocktails. The coffee machine in the Diamond Lounge is ok, but I much prefer the flavored lattes as a treat when I cruise. Enjoy the rest of your cruise! -
🍹North to Bermuda, Mariner Live - Oct 16, 2022
DoctorWhoGirl replied to John&LaLa's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Always enjoy your live reviews, have a wonderful cruise! We just got off Mariner yesterday after another amazing vacation, she’s our family’s favorite ship. Miss her and the crew already. -
On Mariner now and they are encouraging the app for menus at all venues (food and bars.) However, I have seen tables here and there in the MDR so it seems paper menus (as well as the printed cruise compass) are available by request.

We did a private jeep tour in Aruba in May with Around Aruba Tours and had an amazing day with our driver/guide Vale. We did 8 hours and saw everything we wanted, including swimming at Conchi. They have a variety of group tours as well. https://www.aroundarubatours.com In Curacao I highly recommend Gone Caribe. https://www.gonecaribe.com/welcome Joey was awesome and we enjoyed a tour of the island, swimming with turtles as well as a walking tour in Willmstad before we had to return to the ship.

Jewel OTS Balcony Cabin 7546
DoctorWhoGirl replied to ReneeFLL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
This was taken on sister ship Brilliance from cabin 7530 looking aft. You can see into the cabin next door if you stand at the railing and peak over. However, we loved the huge balcony and booked the same type of cabins again. It was great when we had our kids in the cabin next door. -
Still Waiting On Adventure Room Assignment
DoctorWhoGirl replied to broadwaycam's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We finally got changed on Fri afternoon. At first it showed GTY cabins but then we were assigned the same cabins we originally booked for Voyager. -
Still Waiting On Adventure Room Assignment
DoctorWhoGirl replied to broadwaycam's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Still waiting for the switch on 4 of the 8 cabins our group has…those that have made the switch have the same rooms on Adventure. -
Have a great time!

We had an amazing day (8 hours) on our tour 3 weeks ago. Our driver/guide for the day was Vale. He drove us around the entire island so we saw everything we wanted to at our own pace without feeling rushed. We easily spent half of the day in the Arikok National Park and can see why a 4x4 to visit Conchi is a must! It was a fun experience and I am glad someone else was doing the driving! Some of the places we visited included California Lighthouse, Alto Vista Chapel, Baby Bridge, Conchi (natural pool), Fontein and Quadrikiri Caves and Baby Beach (fabulous drinks at Big Mama’s). For our family of 4 the full day private tour in an air conditioned Jeep was worth every penny. It was a fabulous tour of the island that I would recommend to anyone.

I had the same problem two weeks ago. I ended up having to set up a new eMed account using a different email. So frustrating.

Just Off The Mariner Sunday
DoctorWhoGirl replied to GTO-Girl's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We were on the same Mariner sailing and all 4 of us are testing positive as well. My husband yesterday, my kids and I this morning. Unfortunately my kids and I are on Indy right now so currently waiting for our escort to medical and the red zone.
