  1. They do offer a 12-pack of water that come in nice metal bottles that are refillable if you want..,the package is called “Open Water”. We used Lido to refill them!
  2. I’d plan on downloading movies to an iPad or laptop to view. One recent report from Zaandam said DVDs were no longer available and machines had been disconnected. Zaandam is the last ship to get overhauled electronics. Doubt you’ll stream or connect anything of yours. We’ve never found any accessible connections on any HAL tv.

  4. Neptune would really be my choice for this itinerary which is port-intensive. You’ll want to be out and about so all the extra space (DR, etc.)would be wasted. Neptunes are very comfy for that…
  5. Not just Schipol…here in US wheelchairs we’re all taken in San Diego even though we had reservations for one…I finally walked the distance and paid for it the next day! Do not ever take HAL bus transfers…much easier, if not cheaper, to hire a cab! Even share one!
  6. Been on that charter. Keep in mind the charter is for the whole ship! We had no Lido for a dinner option…only MDR which ended up being a zoo! Other entertainment areas were part of the charter, too…so it’s not like a normal cruise at all. We liked the entertainment but would never do it again.
  7. We have an opportunity for a nonstop flight to Miami vs 1change flight to FLL for a cruise from Port Everglades. Have never been in MIA but know FLL can be a zoo… I need wheelchair if available (nowadays not often available). Would appreciate pros and cons of MIA over FLL (staying in Ft. Lauderdale with a group prior to cruise.) Thanks.
  8. You are cutting it way too tight (IMO) to make your cruise the following day given the time of year and your location (NL)….nowadays lots of weather cancellations and just flight cancellations. We’ve altered our plans to always allow 2 days.
  9. 32-41 days Premium Internet purchase ahead is $319.
  10. Itinerary is port-intensive so I’d go for K’dam in Verandah…on long cruises with lots of sea days, we go for SS’s since we like to stay in our cabin to read, etc.
  11. Believe it’s still not available except in FT. Lauderdale and one others port…definitely not Boston yet.

  13. Luggage FORWARD is a HAL service for only a few ports and airlines where you leave your luggage outside your door, get your boarding passes ahead, and retrieve your luggage at your home airport when you arrive. Luggage DIRECT is a paid service like FedEx that will pick up your luggage at home or the port when you’re done but it’s a shipping service and costs a lot!
  14. The aft Neptune for this cruise could be excellent if your weather is good🤞😁
  15. IMO: Pinnacle Class ships have smaller cabins all around. The Vista Suites have different floor plan (bed by the verandah) vs Verandah which has couch by the Verandah. Never ever go by the various square footages quoted on assorted media…they can vary according to location on ship and “class” within the “class.” The other ships in HAL have different classifications of cabins and overall are larger for each class. Vista Suites where offered are what I call “9-drawer desks” to distinguish them from Verandas that have 3-drawer desks. Signature Suites are more similar to Neptune Suites without the perks and a few other differences but overall they are spacious with bathrooms with 2 sinks. Always check halfacts for some photos, which though might not be current decor, usually are representative of the class.
  16. Thanks for the CVS comment and 7-11…. Things like mouthwash that are larger containers we don’t like to send in suitcases, etc. Like to get them locally.
  17. We’ll be staying at the Marriott Long Wharf the night before boarding our cruise. Is there a place near there or near the cruise port to pick up toiletries, etc? We can’t walk far.
  18. Done Honnigsvag which was ok, but from photos Spitsbergen is far more interesting..,we’re booking that one, too.
  19. Yes, I’ve checked many of the restaurants in Bar Harbor too hence my request…(and yes, I do get frozen ones at home😁)
  20. Trying to get my b2b2b onto my Navigator app. I’ve entered the first one but can’t find a way to add the next two so I can see my whole itinerary and reservations and excursions. Has anyone been able to do it? Thanks👍
  21. Thank you for your photos! So happy to see the “old library “ looking the same!! Look forward to being there soon😁🛳
  22. On the K’dam 2 months ago, check in was by time, but once you checked in, you were sent to various holding areas…President’s Club, Neptunes, 5*, 4*, and boarded in that order.
