I hope you have a lovely night out Josy celebrating a 60th birthday.

Thank you. We have lots of happy memories. We took Pauline's mam and dad out for the day in my company car every week and we had several cruises together. We also saw her parents every day. After his death we took Pauline's late mam with us on several cruises in our large cabin/ mini/suite and her last cruise was with us on Ventura for her 90th birthday. Roy was ex army and the nicest person you could ever meet. This was Roy and me on Pauline and my wedding day August 22nd 1981.

The remembrance books are quite large and have thousands of names especially engraved inside. The case is locked and in the morning the attendant turns the pages over for the next days memories. Paulines mam and dad and my mam and dad have special memories words engraved in the books on their memory day.

This is Seaham County Durham on the North East coast. Newcastle Port of Tyne is 15 miles from us. If you were docked in Newcastle we would have loved to see you and show you some of the area. August 22nd is our 42nd wedding anniversary. Liverpool is a lovely city on the North West coast about 170 miles from us. The Beatles museum is in Albert Dock Liverpool less than 1 mile from the cruise terminal. The famous Cavern club is in Liverpool city centre just under 1 mile from the cruise terminal. Sue lives in Dorset I believe which is about 350 miles from Liverpool and over 400 miles from us.

No. We visited the city of Ripon on the way home from the Yorkshire Dales where we stayed on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Thank you Marrietta I will. We went to the remembrance room at the crematorium this morning to read her dad's memory in the book. There are several books like this photo which are opened daily for people to see their loved ones memories. Afterwards we sat looking out to sea.

Thank you Joy. An elderly cousin of Pauline's died on Thursday. Today was the day 42 years ago when the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles married.
