  1. Mysty and Cam, I can't begin to imagine what it must be like every time an after shock occurs. My friend whose apartment was damaged writes that it is so frightening. It is really wonderful to see teams from all over the world working together to dig. To my way of thinking, this is what humanity is about.

Puerto Rico and so much of the Caribbean have a long road to recovery, as does Mexico.

  2. Good Eveing Coolers!

Terry, it's just like having our own personal Cooler News Netwotk not CNN .... but ..... TNN! :D

Saturday is still the taditional change over day in British seaside resorts, so always has a sort of air of anticipation and excitement buzziness. Cars with roof boxes driving slowly around waiting for their earliest checking in times. All the takeaways start filling up in the evenings, and pensioners walk around ..... the daily bickering put aside and a temporary truce is called, and the holly state of deadlock replaced with the cermonial public display of the holding of hands.

Tonight to make the seaside tradition complete we had fish and chips delivered which we had with a bottle of ice cold Bredon Champers .... and over the bay was a firework display.

Good to see Soapy is enjoying her trip .... and Spins seems to be in good spirits and Lois is booking stuff!

Now that is civilized....Champers with fish and chips. Like it..... Penny

  3. Good day to all! Lois, exciting that you have settled on your next adventure and Miss Sophia is on one. Jeff's drinks look delicious. I agree with Mysty to look at the glass as half full. Donations are pouring in for Mexico. Carlos Slim has a new 5 to 1 matching donation from his foundation. Mark Zuckberg has donated 1 million USD..So, it is a start. A huge team of rescuers has arrived from Japan.

Hoping Cam hears some good news today.

  4. The food looks wonderful, Jeff! And the pics, my my!

My cruise documentation arrived via email this morning. Now, all I need to do is be patient.

My heart goes out to everyone waiting to hear from family and friends in the Caribbean and Mexico. We have been receiving Facebook posts from Mexico DF which has helped here.

  5. Cam: Thanks to your suggestion, my friend Lily has heard from her brother and they are safe. She still has not heard from her son. I found him on Facebook and have sent him a message. Hopefully, he will post back and she can stop worrying. Hope you are learning more about your relatives. Thank you, Penny

  6. Thank you, Cam. I just spoke to her husband and they will try and text. If unsuccessful, she will let me know. Prayers for all and your beautiful island. I was last there in November.

Yes, women from Guadalajara are beautiful! I have friends from there and their daughters are so beautiful, and their son is muy guapo!

I will keep you in the loop. Y tu, tambien, por favor....

    Gracias

  7. Thank you for your kind words Mysty. The situation in Puebla, Mexico and Morelos is dire. People are working non-stop trying to rescue folks. A rescue team from Los Angeles that does earthquake recovery is on its way. A team with sniffer dogs from Guadalajara is now in Mexico City. Cam, I have spoken to my friend whose son, grandchildren and other family members are in PR. She has not heard anything since they spoke last night before the storm hit. I hope you, and she receive good news shortly.

  8. We lost power and have just gotten it back. Consequently, I was not able to get updates on the earthquake or the hurricane. I did hear that PR is totally without power. I hope Cam has been able to check on her family and that they are okay. My friend here has not heard from her son and grandkids yet. They corresponded by cell last night but that was it.

  9. Thank you, Mysty! And the wing nuts are saying this is God's doing and the world is coming to an end! There are so many terrible things going on at present. It is hard to remain upbeat, isn't it? Oh yes, and my son may be in the path of Jose which is becoming a Nor'easter, He is just outside of Boston.

  10. Thank you Cam and Jeff. Hopefully, my tour in Casablanca will be similar to Cam's. We do go to Hassan II Mosque.

I may very well head for the pool onboard in Agadir, too.

I don't know what to say about Trump's speech at the UN. Seems to me that it was taunting and personally I don't believe that is the way to deal with North Korea. It speaks volumes to me that so many diplomatic appointments have yet to be made at the State Department. Diplomacy does not appear to mean much to the present administration.
