  1. I may have to leave a print out on the table as a hint. 😁 I have never heard of these roses that last over 12+ months.
  2. That is great to hear there are a couple of us from this thread that will be on the same sailing. I hope we can all meet up😃 I priced up airfare but have not yet made a final decision and booked. We are probably going to fly in on Sunday then we will have all day Monday to meet up with our good friends that moved to Clearwater area last August. They said they have not yet explored downtown Tampa area and are happy to come meet us there.
  3. That also looks like a nice option and price is comparable to the Hilton Tampa Downtown. I see there is a Capital Grille nearby. That will probably sway Eric to stay at the Renaissance if I mention that😃
  4. Our son buys soda pkg. Bought for $6.99 on black Friday sales. I think individual soda is around $4 not sure as we don't drink soda.
  5. Sailed Anthem several times and only menu I have ever seen wings is room service. Pay $7.95 room service fee but can get several orders of wings.
  6. And HAL. We did several cruises with my parents out of NYC on Hal. Didn't care for the drive there, much easier drive to Bayonne for us.
  7. Very true. We usually avoid cruising most months of summer, except an occassional cruise to Bermuda. Our favorites months to cruise bahamas and caribbean are winter months to escape the cold here in PA.
  8. I have been various times of the year and found August / early September to be hot and humid.
  9. We enjoying trying something different each time we go to CocoCay. It is becoming very familiar to us but we still enjoy. I look forward to find out more details about the new Adults Only area they are constructing with an expecting opening date of December 2023.
  10. Yes, it is so very sad to watch the news videos and hear the tragic loss of far too many. When I first heard the news today about the baby surviving my first thought was the temperatures and how a newborn survived the frigid temperatures. Hypothermia and frostbite are serious concerns for many. I was wondering if your area was also having earthquakes. Very scary since there is nothing you can do to prepare. Sending Prayers for All🙏
  11. Did anyone hear the story about a newborn baby rescued in the debris from the Earthquakes in Turkey? Her Mother gave birth during or right after the earthquake as the baby was still connected by umbilical cord but the Mother and Father had passed away. It's a Miracle he or she is a live. God Bless this baby🙏
  12. Thank you Everyone for info about Frontier. I wish the Trenton airport, that would be so much easier to get to, had options other than Frontier. I was reading some customer reviews early this morning while I was at my Dermatologist office. Most reviews were negative about customer service and baggage fee issues. Looks like I am just going to revert back to my original plan and book a multi-city ticket with American Airlines for our September Repo cruise.
  13. It was me asking sbout Frontier as they fly out of a small airport near us which is a much easier drive then going to Philly intl airport. And the one way fare to Tampa is only $89 pp plus bags
  14. Thank you for responding. I recall someone on this thread discussing Frontier and I thought it may have been you. Enjoy being home with Jade catching up on BD😀
  15. @Arzeena @Luckynana Have either of you ever flown out of the Trenton-Mercer Airport? I was pricing up flights yesterday for our cruise out of Tampa in September and have heard from 2 people at work use this airport is nice and easy to get in and out of but looks like the only airline that flies to FL from this airport is Frontier. @Ocean Boy Have you flown Frontier? We usually fly American Airlines as I use points from my credit card but if we can fly out of a small airport that is 20 to 25 minutes away vs. PHL that is an hour away with a bad ride/traffic on I95 for morning flights we are okay with trying another airline.
  16. Sorry to hear NCL was a disappointment. What a waste of Rum!! Glad to hear that JVD and other excursions worked out for you and the other couple. Weather sure does look perfect.😀
  17. A pool without a Bar! Oh No. 🤣 I like the Hyatt but also like the Hilton as we are Gold members and get some extra perks such as their executive lounges for breakfast, daily snacks, usually have free specialty coffee machines and a happy hour. Kinda like going to the DL in a ship. We have also enjoyed Embassy Suites at other locations but wasn't sure if this one was having any issues like the one in Ft Lauderdale was getting run down during Covid.
  18. I am curious too since we will be on the same cruise as you and Gary. I was looking at the Hilton Tampa Downtown, Embassy Suites or the Hyatt Tampa Downtown yesterday. They all look like they are close to the port and have access to the river walk area and the aquarium. We have very good friends that retired and moved to the Clearwater area last Fall so we hope to connect to them with them the day before our sailing. Any comments about the 3 hotels I noted above are appreciated or other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
  19. Whoops I had a typo it is 888.561.2234. The other one is 866.
  20. We booked it for $79 / pp last fall for a sailing Sept 2023. In the past we were paying as low as $42.99 / pp but the price increase (I think in 2022) of $200 or more is just crazy. Now to see $300+ is insane. But you are on vacation and if you want to splurge go right ahead and splurge. It is a lovely area that we have been several times but there are many "free" areas that we enjoy too!
  21. We are looking to book a hotel near the cruise terminal in Tampa for 1 maybe 2 nights. We will be flying into to Tampa Int'l airport. Prefer a hotel that has a restaurant / bar and swimming pool. If something to see or do in an easy walk nearby that would be nice too. I see there is a Hilton downtown Tampa as well as an Embassy Suites that look nice. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated. We typically enjoy Hilton or Marriott hotels since we are Gold members for both
  22. We have been to both DC and Baltimore many times for family vacations as well as pre and post cruise trips. There is a lot more to do in DC, especially if you have never been too. Baltimore Inner Harbor is a fun place to explore the Aquarium, the Science Center, many shops as well as some great bars and restaurants, especially if you are crab lover. We usually stay at Pier 5 Hotel (hilton family) in the harbor. Great location to walk anywhere you want to go plus they offer a free shuttle bus. In DC we have stayed at several hotels and we have always enjoyed the hotel, it's amenitites and the location of Hilton L'Enfant Plaza - easy walk to the Wharf and National Mall as well as the Smithsonians, etc. The Spy Museum is a fun place to visit too. When pricing up hotels in DC, you want to check their parking fees. It can cost up to $60 / day to park your car in DC. There are many options but will depend on where you stay.
