  1. Here is link to the deck plans of Voyager. Cafe promenade is on deck 5. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/voyager-of-the-seas/deck-plans I personally have not seen the dining room open on any ship for lunch on embarkment day.
  2. So MDR is open for lunch on embarkment day? I didn't think any ship was doing that unless you had the key
  3. Yes, your drink packages will be available as soon as you board. You will need to use your set sail pass if your cabin is not ready. Your Sea Pass cards will be outside your cabin. Cabins are usually ready around 1 pm. No additional tax due at check in. I don't know what you mean by PAT?? Main dining room will not be open for lunch on embarkment day. The buffet, Windjammer will be open, Parks Cafe and Sorrentos pizza parlor should be open too.
  4. This should be a lot of fun. We really enjoyed watching our Son and his Fiance (at the time) board a cruise ship for the first time. There were a lot of awe moments. I am doing the happy dance for you. I hope you have great flight down to Miami with smooth seas and perfect weather🥰
  5. The concierge in the DL can also print out replacement sea pass cards. So much easier than going to Guest services (unless no line).
  6. Your too funny. It really does look like Yoda. My 2 favorites on that menu would be the garlic soup and that delicious looking brownie. Yummy😀
  7. What is price difference per person on airfare? You could rent a 15 person passenger van at the airport for about $175, drop off everyone and their luggage. Then drive to drop off point in Miami and uber yourself yo the port. Or do you plan on flying in day early? as recommended by most.
  8. We had learned, I think our 3rd trip to Disney, with our boys between 10 and 14 yrs old that they were bored with Disney. They told us they enjoyed going on road trips and seeing new places much better than Disney. We were really happy to hear that as we also liked road trips and checking out new sites and learning all about them.
  9. Almost 4 hr wait time...that's nuts!!! How quick did lightning lane get you in. Sorry to hear they are closing this ride. I think we did it everytime we were there.
  10. I am 99.9999% sure you won't be able to use your prime freebie on Icon unless you are offered a certificate that specially states certain sail dates on Icon. I had casino offer for Wonder it's first year of sailing.
  11. No problem with carry-on at the pool, hardly anyone in the pool that early in the day except maybe some b2b cruisers. Those wagons take up a lot of space in elevators and hallways, not the best idea especially on embarkment or disembarkment day when lines for elevators are long and everyone is cramming themselves on. Maybe the better plan is to check in around 1 pm go straight to your cabin drop off your carry-on bags then enjoy the pool.
  12. We have been on sailings on Grandeur and Serenade with rough seas and definitely felt it but didn't bother either of us. We went through 30' swells on Grandeur for most of the night into the morning. Hardly anyone at the WJ for breakfast, most areas were closed down and just a couple of us at the pool deck by mid morning (was nice sunny day - just rough seas as we were slightly ahead of the storm as we left Barbados). When booking on a smaller ship try to position yourself in the center of the ship, middle decks then you won't feel it as much when in your cabin. We love the smaller ships, especially the Radiance Class. Fear of rough seas would never stop me from booking a smaller ship. You just never know when bad weather can happen, anywhere in the world.
  13. It is crazy high these days. I just priced up a 5 day pass with hopper option and was just under $1500 for 2 people 10+ yrs. old. That didn't include Genie+ with Lightning Lanes. That doesn't even include food and hotel. I'm sure the price of food in the parks have gone up too I don't know how families can afford to go to these parks nowadays. We thought it was expensive when we took our boys years ago. The last time we went to Disney World, just the 2 of us, was in April/May 2018 and I think we paid something like $90 pp/per day with the hopper option.
