  1. Yes, but why carry all of that? Cabins are usually ready between 1 and 1:30 pm. If you board early you will have to keep all of that with you. Plus elevators are very busy on day 1. Make it easy on yourself and check in a bag or a 2. We just carry our small backpacks onboard.
  2. For Curacoa, I recommend taking a walk thru the port and head to the floating pontoon bridge. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-boostdish-us-revc&sca_esv=598681343&sxsrf=ACQVn0_3bVk_X7Cz9GrN56GTpG6e_i7HbQ%3A1705371818088&q=Queen Emma Bridge&ludocid=3711383108024288569&ibp=gwp%3B0%2C7&lsig=AB86z5ULxW40OlC1lHGKCJNWACel&kgs=2f739aaba0bf5ece&shndl=-1&source=sh%2Fx%2Floc%2Fact%2Fm4%2F2 Nice to explore the city area after crossing the bridge. Or taxi ride to Mambo Beach. Lots of places to rent loungers, snorkel, eat & drink. Maybe see if you can find someone on roll call wanting to share taxi to mambo beach.
  3. For a first timer to Aruba I recommend their excursion called aruba highlights and Eagle beach. This will give a nice overview of the island with some nice stops at the Natural Bridge area, California lighthouse and a beach break at Eagle Beach. We did this tour years ago and gave us a good feel of the island and where we went on future visits.
  4. It is tip. Is it either 18 or 20% of the service you had done? If yes, then go back to spa mgr or guest services and ask for refund of the additional $35. Unless you want them to have extra tip
  5. We were pleasantly surprised the smaller tram we boarded near the ship also took us around the island. And we got picked up by a small tram outside the beach club that took us directly to the ship. Was great not having to switch trams at their tram depot.
  6. This all sounds great! Hope to see some nice sunny photos to warm us up! Our next booked cruise isn't till March 3rd.
  7. 88f sounds perfect! Can I stowaway in your luggage? I think you will like Barbados and St Lucia. We have never been to Trinidad & Tobago. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Any excursions booked? We did a really fun catamaran sailing in Barbados and another time the pirate boat. Both were lots of fun. Snorkeled with sea turtles on one of them. St Lucia we did a sailing to the Pitons and then took a ride up to the volcano for mud bath and lunch at a plantation. Another trip we sailed to marigot Bay and hung out there for a couple hours. Lots of nice beaches too!
  8. They have been saying the last couple of weeks have been crappy and we all kept hoping the weather would improve for this coming week. I hope it does improve for all of you soon. BTW, they keep having internet (comcast) problems at their house in Cape Coral. Is your internet any better?
  9. You can take a taxi or the water ferry over to Atlantis. I am sure once you off the ship and walk down the dock to the cruise terminal you will see signs for either the ferry or where to get taxi's.
  10. We love to dress up. Hubby may not bring his tux on every cruise (3 to 5 times a year) but as others have said European / Med cruises tend to dress up more than Caribbean cruises. If you enjoy wearing your tux then go for it and have fun!
  11. After you disembark from the ship look for the tram station. The tram is excellent to ride throughout the island and has many drop off/pick up locations.
  12. After looking at the 10 day forecast for Cape Coral and Gasparilla Island and speaking with my Boss, we have decided to postpone our trip. Originally scheduled to fly to Ft Meyers airport Thursday morning but with temps to be in the 60's with rain and high winds forecasted for most of the weekend we decided to postpone our trip for a couple of weeks. It saddens me to think we cancelled our Anthem sailing for Jan 18th 11 nighter because of Yeshiva week and now postponing this trip. I was so hoping to be soaking up some warm sun somewhere this January. For now, we have our fireplace and cats to snuggle up with. I hope everyone remains safe during this brutal cold weather and has no issues with power outages.
  13. I think this is the same video that Debbie @brillohead posted a week or two ago. Petey, the cat we adopted from a rescue shelter when he was about 6 months old always gives me trouble trying to cut his nails, I may give this a try. Although I'm not sure I want the cat hair in my mouth
  14. Our family is a mix of Android and iPhone we use the whatsapp while onboard. Works great for us
  15. I had this same thought when I saw how many ships are presently there. This cannot be good for eco system for many reasons.
  16. Oh I cannot wait to read about this confusion on future threads 😁 I wonder how people with wheelchairs, scooters, etc. Will handle this.
  17. On Quantum, Vintages is a great location to hang out with nice selection of wines. On Odyssey, same location as Vintages, Giovannis wine bar would be another great option. Sorry but I have never sailed out Australia to know their gratuity rules. Your plan is a good one😊
  18. Some ships have a specialty coffee area in the Windjammer. Does Symphony?
  19. Schools in my area of PA are closed the week of March 24th. This sailing had limited cabins available last year when we were looking at dates in March. We ended up booking March 3rd. Royal up may have some options for you.
  20. Might be able to buy a bottle at the schooner bar, the pub. Definitely can purchase at any specialty restaurant or vintages bar. What ship are you sailing on?
