With Eric being a transplant person and immuno compromised we are always careful. Eric had felt crappy for 1 or 2 days after one of his shots. I only had sore arms. Eric got covid when he was in a rehab facility for a week after a bad break. He was positive a couple days after returning home. I got covid at work. Just never know. At least it has evolved to cold/flu like symptoms.

I have heard some horrible stories about shingles. I remember seeing the pain and suffering my Uncle went through years ago. So sorry to hear about your pain and suffering. I keep forgetting I should get the shingrex shots. Eric got his shots 2 yrs ago.

Eric and I both had initial 2 does of Pfizer and 1 booster. He may have had 1 additional booster, will have to check his vax card. He had covid Jan 2021 (right before vaccines were available in our area) and I had it Oct 2022. We haven't had any shots since 2021 or 2022, will have to find our cards (I think we stored in our safe).

??? You do not have to sit with others waiting to board. You will simply walk off the ship with the group of consecutive cruisers then a customs officer will look at your passport and back on board you go or use your transit card to leave terminal and come back on the ship whenever you want with no wait.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. Highly unlikely an accessible cabin is available, but never hurts to ask them. A standard scooter can fit thru the cabin door on most ships/most cabin types but maneuvering inside the cabin can be difficult. On our last cruise on Serenade in a OV balcony a neighbor was told to leave his scooter in the hallway and set up a time for it to be picked up every night and time to be returned every morning. They would charge battery for him too. They handled this very well. What ship will you be sailing on?

Yes, I agree antibiotics are over used by many. I don't have a dog. I was simply asking how they are treating this new virus. I hope your dog is feeling better everyday.

I have never heard they charge a couple hundred a day. That doesn't seem right for passengers that truly need their service dog. I've heard they have to bring their own food. Maybe pay a small fee or deposit like some hotels charge.

@orville99. Thank you for sharing your cruise with all of us. Very informative for those wondering what work is being done. I was last on Serenade for the repo cruise in September and found the ship to be in decent shape. At that time internet was Great, we never had an issue anywhere on the ship. New fridges and New towels were in our cabin on deck 7 at the time. They sure have done a lot of scraping, painting, varnish, etc since then plus the additional spaces being redesigned. Thank you for all fabulous pictures of ports and the canal. Glad that you had great weather almost every day.

We have sailed on Anthem numerous times and never had a need to pre-book shows. If you have a preferred area you like to sit you may want to arrive early.

I completely understand. Did you book the sailing while on Anthem? If you did not go to the nextcruise desk you may want to do on the app while onboard by paying $100 or $200 in total. Then the funds get applied to your port taxes and fees when you book back home Plus you will get any OBC that is offered with the nextcruise option. Make sure to call the casino number for club royale to book the cruise (if not already done) and doesn't hurt to ask how much to upgrade to an OV or balcony. Usually they offer some good upgrade prices. Now that earned enough points to get a comped cruise. Make sure to check www.clubroyaleoffers.com on a regular basis for any future offers.

It's like flying first class once you do one you will want to keep doing them.😀 I am, also, confident they will be able to accommodate a minor leaving the ship (either with you or a staff member). Moving cabins is easy peasy, no worries there. It is also nice being able to go to your new cabin when done the re-entry onto the ship (usually done by 10ish). Depending on the number of passengers doing a b2b you may have a lunch for consecutive cruisers. Usually a very nice lunch served in the MDR. Congratulations on your casino comp!

I hope your doggy feels better soon! I have heard of this new virus for dogs but not familiar with the treatment. Does he need daily meds (antibiotics)? I know I would not be able to go on a cruise and enjoy it if I had a sick pet at home. Hopefully he will be on the mend soon. If insurance does not cover cancellation due to a sick pet, that stinks as they are family members too! Good luck and hope all goes well for you and your family

You should receive perks as a Signature member since this will be printed on your seapass on day of embarkment 3.31.24 Points earned on 3.31 count towards the 2023/2024 year then points earned beginning 4.01.24 will go towards the next casino year. We frequently cruise this last week of March as my DH's Birthday is 3.31

I wonder how they are going to handle casino members that are doing the full world cruise on Serenade. If they give them the standard offers that are posted on clubroyale site majority of them won't be able to use them since they are on the WC for 9 months. But I guess they won't care since they are on a WC for 9 months.

I should think so. Nowadays I only play slots with occasional blackjack if in the mood and find a table/people I like. From what I hear most say you earn points quicker on slots since they are calculated by the computer instead of the dealer or the pit boss. There is a formula they use to calculate those playing table games. Hopefully someone else will chime with the info for you.
