  1. Video worked for me...looks awesome! I want one of those lobster rolls, that looks amazing! Some nice sweet lobster...yumyum
  2. We are back in the heat and humidity. Yesterday was a high of 92f Today is 94f with 77% humidity. Expect 96f tomorrow then 94 or 95 for Wed & Thu. Looks like we have the same weather Tampa is having. Good thing we got all our yardwork done Sat and Sun. Today I started packing essentials for our cruise. So far I have one small bag fully packed with all our shampoos, body wash, sunscreen, etc. and have 1 large bag almost packed with our formal wear, swimsuits, some tops and will pack the rest later in the week. I expect this will be a busy 4 day work week with getting as much of my work done as possible and making sure the rest of the office team knows what they need to do while I am out for 2 weeks on Serenade. I am getting excited and cannot wait to get back onboard one of our favorite ships. Eric doesn't get excited until we are actually on our way there. In the past couple of weeks he has been back to working on clearing out his Mom's house so we can list it for sale when we get back home. He has done a great job the inside of the house looks really nice. Him and Chris were able to get most of the furniture out of the home and donated to various charities but we left some pieces for staging purposes. Shed is almost empty then he needs to work on the garage but wanted to wait until we had cooler weather to work in there. Originally we were thinking about renting it out but with the housing market the way it is now we figure we will sell it and get the most possible for it. Still waiting to see who our new neighbors will be. They should be here by the time we get back home on 9.24 Also, excited that my neighbor is done with her rehab at the facility and will be home tomorrow. It will be so nice to see her back home again.
  3. We received some decent free offers in the past week. Hopefully others are receiving these offers (or better)! We are booked up for this fall, January and March so maybe we will do one of the bermuda sailings in May or early June. I think we will wait and see what type of casino certificate we get on our sailing that departs on 9.12 on Serenade for 12 nights (repo cruise).
  4. Good to hear they have one now. Last August/September they did not. I was in the area for Eggs and was told they were not making made to order omelets. This was on two separate days so I gave up and just went to the MDR, especially since we do not like the layout of the WJ on Oasis class ships. IMO, Anthem has one of the best WJs. I'm going to have to assume the layout is the same for all Quantum class ships.
  5. Yes, there are rude people that will jump in front of a scooter for an elevator. We experienced that first hand on Oasis last year, but there were A Lot of rude people on that particular sailing. @DaniDaniellecan vouch for that And yes, we have seen some scooter drivers out of control too, goes both ways. Having a scooter gave Eric peace of mind knowing he could use it onboard and avoid aggravating his back. Hopefully your knee cooperates and doesn't swell up to the point you are laid up in your balcony on sea days. Will your surgeon be okay to perform the surgery if your knee is swollen when you return home?
  6. They have rarely ever been in my Moms cabins but always showed up within a couple of hours. We were told room attendants do not know about these requests since they come thru different dept to be delivered to cabins, but always best to let room steward know what you ordered.
  7. Highly unlikely the medically staff has paxlovid to give to passengers. Best to ask your primary to fill a script before cruise. Do not believe that Medicare will cover any treatments on a European cruise.
  8. If you need a medical fridge it would be best to request ahead of the cruise, my understanding is there is limited number of them per ship. Bed splitting is no biggy for room steward to do once onboard.
  9. Only place for a burger without paying extra is the WJ, maybe the MDR has for lunch. Does the solarium bistro serve burgers for lunch. I don't recall I hardly ate there when I was on Allure
  10. At most ports wheelchairs are available once you enter terminal and go through security. If a wheelchair is needed to enter the terminal then you ask for assistance by one of the port workers. Then once you get thru security they will switch out to a chair handled by a royal caribbean worker. No need to call ahead as they rotate the chairs as they become available. I have heard this varies by port. If renting a chair or scooter to use onboard you do need to fill out special needs form you can find online.
  11. Fabulous idea for a two sided cake. I have never seen anything like this before now. Genius!! All her cakes are beautiful and I'm sure they taste as good as they look.
  12. No retractable roof but there is a nice outdoor area just past the solarium. This was my go to spot most days. I had the worst time trying to get an omelet made in the solarium, they kept telling me to pick one from the pre-made ones they had sitting there. No omelet station in the Jammer so I would go to MDR to get my made to order omelets. Good Luck!
  13. Happy Birthday Theo! So nice to continue on with a church that is special for your family for many reasons. Beautiful cake too. I love how the gate on the cake is open for Theo. Lovely!!
  14. We were told by room steward that most times they are not made aware of special needs at the beginning of every cruise. Any items ordered for cabin usually arrive by dinner time and Sometimes delivered by staff other than room steward. This seemed to be the case with most cruises with my Mom that need a medical fridge for insulin and sharps container. As for food allergies it is best to have that conversation in the Dining room. For table arrangements we usually email rcldining 2 or 3 weeks before each cruise. Majority of our requests have been filled.
  15. These crocheted animals are adorable. Very sweet of your Dad. 🥰 I don't think I would get into a coffin lift. Besides the name, they look a bit scary.
  16. Sorry to hear the injection isnt working well. Have you considered renting a scooter for your cruise? You can always rent it and use as needed. Check out www.specialneedsatsea.com for standard scooter rental. With all the walking you will be doing at port, etc you will appreciate having it should you have a bad day.
  17. I don't think send waitstaff to another location to get pizza for MDR was ever an option. Sorry, but it does take away from waitstaff doing their job in MDR.
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your Grandaughter. I'm so sorry I cannot remember her name. 9 yrs old already, they grow up way too fast. Love the photo she is a Star🤩
