Either myself or hubby would order the uber as soon as we were pulling into the Avis/Budget parking lot and never waited more than 10 minutes for pick up. Yes, we would drop off and pick up rental from Avis located at 180 E 22nd st. It is about a 10 minute drive to the port. And depending on what time you do check in, hopefully not a lot of traffic.

We live about 1.5 hrs from cruise port and have rented from avis/budget several times. For us it has worked out cheaper than Uber or Lyft. If traveling with just 2 people then it is easiest to return car and take uber to the port with your luggage. We have pre-arranged Uber for a 9 am pick up at port several times and works great. The driver is usually there a couple minutes early so we just walk off ship and jump in their car to Avis for rental to drive home. Although door to door is nice too!

We have a couple of times and worked well for us each time. Give it a try next time.

Yes, it was an entertaining thread to say the least. Your suggestion for the OP to say something since it is a President's cruise seem to fall upon deaf ears.

What is current price for the Jewel? On our Serenade cruise it was selling for $35.99 pp where internet was selling for $15.99. Based on the $20 difference pp it is definitely Not worth it, IMO.

We have docked both directions in Bermuda. I believe the majority of our sailings we docked port side.

Cabins are usually ready around 1 pm on most sailings. If you can board / check in around 1 pm, do your muster station visit then go to WJ. It is usually less busy then it is between 11 to 1 pm when folks are hanging out waiting for cabins to open up.

I have a good friend with a house near a lake in the Poconos. She uses shavings from bars of Irish Spring soap to deter mice. Discovered this when I saw this in a kitchen cabinet. She swears by it.

It is Back!! I think it returned to all ships either end of last year or beginning of this year. Was on our Anthem sailing in March. Always a hoot

A reprice prior to final payment date does not impact your deposit whether it be a refundable or non refundable. Prior to Royal increasing prices this year we did reprices on many cruises even if the savings was less than $100. I currently have one Feb 2025 cruise booked for Wonder. Booked it a couple months ago so never too early to book. I.e. I am booked for a sailing on Serenade for 12 nights this September. I booked it summer of 2022 at $1945 for 2 people in an OVb with large balcony. Last I checked that same cabin category was selling for about $4500, now sold out.

Book it now and if you see a price before your final payment date you can call and do a reprice. As for dining and beverage packages black Friday sales usually offer best prices for items in your cruise planner but you can do the same book now and cancel /rebook if you see a sale.

Even with once a day cleaning the room stewards will still put away and set up extra beds, pullmans, etc. Just let the room steward know your preferences when you meet them on day 1.

We had two nice days (Friday and Saturday). Yesterday was a perfect summer day with temps in the low 80's, light breeze and humidity levels dropped to the 60's. Today is sunny, high 80's, no breeze but no humidity, so that's good too! We are expecting to reach high 90's and 100 in a couple of days. We just finished washing and detailing inside and out three of our cars. After purchasing the Ford Edge this Spring we decided to sell the car I inherited from my Dad. Then we were too busy with spring yard work, preparing shore house for summer renters, then our two weeks at the shore house in June then all the humidity and rain we have had since end of June thru July didn't help. So today it is officially ready. I just took numerous photos so I can post on that other social media's marketplace. I have successfully sold two cars in the past online and feel confident this one will sell quick too.

Beautiful houses. I especially like house #1 and that patio. Nice to see new owners are taking good care of both houses.
