  1. It comes down to what will make money for the shareholders. As reported earlier in this thread, often the suites with a "ship within a ship" concept on other cruise lines sell out first.
  2. Families are able to purchase a suite. In fact, the Sky Suites are perfect for families. They sleep 5 and have 2 bedrooms.
  3. Until we know the deck plans we are all just speculating. They could design it like some of the NCL ships do - Vibe (like Sanctuary but with a bar and hot tubs) on one side and the Haven sundeck on the other. Vibe is often nicer than the Haven sundeck. Hard to say at this point.
  4. The Vibe is not just for suite guests. Anyone can purchase it online.
  5. Maybe Princess will continue to follow NCL's lead and allow Paxs to purchase the Sanctuary loungers ahead of time - online - just like NCL does for the Vibe now.
  6. According to this article the ship WILL still have Crooners and Alfredo's. 😄 https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/28273-next-princess-ship-set-to-be-named-sun-princess-debut-spring-2024.html
  7. Or the new NCL Prima where most of the ship's aft is dedicated to the Haven Suites. This includes having private restricted elevators and deck areas. https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/prima
  8. I agree. Especially if the prices are similar.
  9. Based on what I have read Yes and No. My guess (looking at the limited deck plans) is that the restaurant/bar/lounge area will be located on one of the upper decks above the majority of the Signature Suites (see aft decks 14-17). https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=SU The Sun Deck sounds different from the Retreat. The info states; "Introducing the Signature Collection, exclusively on Sun Princess®. In addition to premium stateroom amenities, Signature Collection Suites include access to the Signature Restaurant, Signature Lounge and private Signature Sun Deck, a private area of the Sanctuary. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/su-sun-princess/ If the Sanctuary is aft rather than forward, then the Sun Deck will be close to the Signature Suites. This is ALL SPECULATION until the final deck plans are released.
  10. I may be able to shed some light on that. We sail in the NCL Haven often. For those who do not know what the Haven is, it is a private upscale "ship within the ship" with a private bar, lounge, restaurant, pool, hot tub and sun decks. We prefer the NCL Haven over booking a smaller luxury cruise because we like to be able to enjoy the other amenities on the ship like clubs, entertainment venues, bars, specialty restaurants and activities. It is nice to enjoy the lively crowds and activities onboard but also have that private space when we want it. Hope this helps.
  11. Safe travels home @Sailing12Away and @SalthMate. Thanks for letting us 🐀s tag along.
  12. Ok so in this rendering it shows the balcony and the cabana. My guess is this level of cabin has access to the Cabana Area. Cabana Area:

  14. I hope the suite restaurant and bar are designed like the Haven proper where the majority suites are close by. Love that set up! Too bad they don’t have the private pool, hot tubs and sun deck close by, like the Haven, as well.
  15. I think you get a private cabana on then cabana deck:
  16. I agree. I love the Haven. I’m wondering if the Vista Suite lounge and restaurant are close to the suites like the Haven proper.
  17. That is my question too. The Signature Suites have a private restaurant and lounge now too. Is this similar to the NCL Haven?
  18. Photos from yesterday’s shore excursion in Boston. I’m posting pics for @SalthMate
  19. Sorry I am not onboard. I am just posting the photos for @SalthMate Perhaps he or @Sailing12Away can answer your question.
