  1. Exactly, that was what I was implying when I stated that it also depends upon which cabin you currently have and perhaps your onboard spending patterns, status, how many are in your cabin (lifeboat capacity) and probably a host of other things. Your bid amount does count as part of it though.
  2. I know with other cruise lines it does not matter when you bid. The system often waits until close to sailing to award bids. It really depends upon the highest bid, your current cabin and luck! You may still win!
  3. I think that is a personal preference. We are getting a bottle of rum, vodka, mixers, beer, and bringing on our favorite wine, but we STILL purchased the Premium Plus package. We plan on drinking outside of our suite - love those Beverly Hills Iced Teas! 😜
  4. We had a similar experience except my one DD got sea sick on the over-the-water cabana so we booked one of the Beach Club beach cabanas. It was great - same service and close to the pool/bar area. Also, we could easily walk to the Oasis pool if we wanted too. I booked another Beach Club beach Cabana for our upcoming cruise. That way the more "mature" folks can enjoy the Beach Club pool and the younger adults can enjoy the Oasis pool if they want.
  5. @Suite Susie We just got our email from Thor, the Land based Concierge. I’m talking to him on Thursday. What should I consider? Any tips or recommendations? We are in the Sky suite on the Discovery in November. Thanks for any advise!
  6. This is correct. The suite concierge will book your cabana depending upon which type of location you want - closer to bathrooms, privacy, best swimming...WE LOVED ours!
  7. Based on the plans, my guess is that the bow area will be the Adult Retreat.
  8. It appears as though the retreat pool is deck 17 forward.
  9. Yes the plans showed the main dining room spanning 3 levels aft deck.
  10. Not to change the subject but it looks like I'll be boarding the CB right after you in December! Have a great cruise!
  11. Too late! We took pics. 😂 Perhaps someone released info they shouldn't have?
  12. THIS 👆. We stayed in that suite 2 times. I say it comfortably would sleep 4 at the most.
  13. NCL cancelled the Getaway cruise this week due to the hurricane. https://www.cruisehive.com/norwegian-ship-cancels-first-florida-sailing-due-to-hurricane-ian/82779
  14. I agree. They would have to create more tiers above Elite for that to happen.
  15. That is really not good. Princess needs to step it up if they want to compete. NCL's higher-end package includes BOTTLEs of good wine (including Veuve). We definitely got our money's worth in July! I hope it is just supply chain issues, and that our November and December Princess cruises are worth the upgrade.
  16. If they offer Rumors see it! Awesome show as well, but go early! Thanks for sharing.
  17. Check this website: https://www.portsamerica.com/operations/cruise-los-angeles-terminal-schedule
  18. Yes, I know. Sorry I may not have been clear. If they want to creat a true ship-within-a-ship for the Signature Suites then the bar, restaurant, lounge and Sundeck/pool area would need to be close to each other. Having the Signature Suite restaurant on deck 7 would nix that concept. In this photo of side by side decks, the Signature Suites aft area could be considered a ship-within-a-ship if the suite lounge (bar), restaurant (Altitude?) and a selected Sanctuary area were dedicated Signature Suite areas.
  19. Unless the one on deck 7 is for the Cabana suites of which there are many. 🤷‍♀️ Putting the Signature Suite restaurant on deck 7 does not make it a ship-within-a-ship - If that is what they were going for.
  20. Yes. That was my guess when Princess released the deck plans. Below that is the leveled main restaurant.
  21. I agree. I’m wondering if that forward area is going to be like the adult retreat? I see a nice bar there!
  22. The Sanctuary is now aft. If the suite restaurant is indeed The Altitude then this ship will have a Haven-like feel with the lounge, restaurant and pool/sun deck all close to most of the suites. Sort of like the Prima. Perf!
