  1. IMO this topic has been thoroughly discussed on several threads. I'm not saying at all that we should stop the discourse. But for me anyway, at this point I will wait and see what the next couple of months bring as our CC colleagues cruise in Sky Suites. What will they say about the change after actually experiencing it? I will not take the first posts (positive or negative) as gospel. I will wait for the trends after a bunch of cruisers report back here. But I still think Celebrity should have sent out a targeted communication earlier to those currently booked in Sky Suites. Again- I admit that is at least currently not me.
  2. Not the vast majority of kids. Most parents are responsible and most kids are well behaved in my cruising experience. But yes there are a few that are not. Just like in non-cruise situations.
  3. Maybe some type of elevated trivia with something at stake (like good prizes)? The usual trivia games for free.
  4. Sorry I was not being snarky but had not finished my post and hit send by mistake. I'm glad you caught it and scolded me. Much appreciated. The full replacement post is there now.
  5. YouTube does all types of "how to" topics for free. Unique hands-on classes like glassblowing are available on some ships and are quite popular. Others include casino game classes and the bar classes like whisky tasting. All with a charge. I agree that a cruise-related or unique hands on class would make money.
  6. Just OTC meds and sundries. No prescriptions. I spend time on or before every cruise looking for a pharmacy. Things I forgot, or things that are liquids that I cannot take on a plane or are too heavy.
  7. Take out one of the underutilized expensive shops. Replace it with a true, well stocked pharmacy. Maybe not a pay extra but Celebrity would make good money on this.
  8. How about an area with pay laundry machines? I know some folks don't want to do their own laundry on cruises but some want the option, especially on longer cruises.
  9. Mike the OP @chemmo is trying to have a positive thread here seeking suggestions. I think it is a pretty good topic. Respectfully, there are loads of other threads for complaints. 🙂
  10. Yes that was my thought too. A walk up stand or something like that.
  11. If it is allowed, it will hopefully only be a few people in one section of the casino. So easy enough to avoid perhaps?
  12. I have stayed in that CS on the hump, and it's balcony was an add on years ago and is actually quite narrow. You might get a forward view from 8108 by leaning over?
  13. Yes but that was because they replaced the Mast Grill burgers. A mistake. I think they keep the Mast Grill and add an option somewhere else (the OVC?) for a high quality burger freshly cooked to order.
  14. ---and without being negative. That will be hard for some posters on here!
  15. Yeah but I was responding to the thread topic.
  16. I would pay a bit extra for a high quality burger by the pool or elsewhere on the ship.
  17. No lobster thread for awhile so one that was 6 months old was reposted. Funny can't get enough of these lobster threads.🙂
  18. Sell to Elon Musk since he already has the X signs ready to go.😀
  19. Yes strongly agree. The reason it was brought up by others is that RCCL has a Junior Suite that is not guaranteed a dining spot in Coastal Kitchen (suite restaurant like Luminae). On most ships with CK, it is dinner only and space availability. People are comparing to the RCCL model and leaping to that.
  20. Actually 6131 and 6132 are usually in very high demand because of the huge balcony which also offers partial shade. And good views both forward and aft. The lifeboats are there a couple of decks below but do not really block your views. We like these suites a lot. You might want to look for videos on these M-Class suites and you might decide to grab 6132.
  21. It would be self-destructive for Celebrity to close Luminae or Blu. The suite and aqua products would be ruined. Why would they do this when they are going in the opposite direction with their new builds and emphasizing the Retreat experience at exorbitant prices?
  22. It used to be that the Celebrity UK site showed all available cabins. Try there. The complication is the Move Up program. A lot of open suites on later sailings get put into this program for people to bid on them. So what is available might be held for this program.
