Thanks. I wrongly assumed that as they said bookings opened on the 14th that this meant from midnight last night. I’ll certainly keep trying.
Yes I did the exact same thing! Literally refreshed the page every 10 minutes all day and then they appeared about 11.30 - midnight lol! 🤦🏼♀️

Good news on two fronts then! The Beach House is open, I usually go there on formal night, and your remarkable boarding time of of 30 minutes?
Yep! Amazing wasn’t it? I presume it was because people were actually arriving at their given times rather than trying to sneak on early and everyone arriving at the same time. I couldn’t fault the organisation of the COVID testing and checking in experience. 😀😀

Still no tabs showing. Very frustrating when they tell you that booking will be open on a date and then it’s not.
If it helps, the entertainment bookings for the Iona maiden opened about midnight on the day they said they’d be open, so keep trying!

Thank you. I think the comments are about Epicurean, Sindhu and Limelight being fully booked. Can Is that the case please?
The Limelight was available to book when we boarded although now it shows as fully booked - Sindhu was available when we boarded but I didn’t check the Epicurean - I think as long as you try and book as soon as you get on you should be fine 😎

Not sure who said the speciality restaurants were all booked. We had an arrival time of 2.15, boarded around 2.45 and still managed to book the Beach House for yesterday evening and Sindhu for tomorrow. When I look now there are still places available to book.

You have some good acts on and fireworks to top it all. Most probably because its the Maiden cruise. I suspect that the acts will be different for us as I can't imagine them wanting to stay on the ship for three weeks!
Do they mention any films? I'm trying to avoid the cinema in case they are showing on board.
What kind of activities can be booked. I'm concerned that the sole teenage passenger (my daughter) is going to get very bored.
No films or activities are books or at the minute, not sure if they will become so before we sail or whether it’s something you have to book once on board.

Under guest presenters for the maiden, you can book Stephanie Beacham for Friday 13th at 2pm.
Thanks for that, I think that must only just have appeared!🙂

Hi,
I’m on Iona maiden next Saturday and entertainment booking opened up last Friday for me - there were only 4 shows to book (these were Joe Pasquale, Tony Hadley, a show called Festival and a comedian called Manuel Martinez). These were listed under the Signature Performances section under the Entertainment tab. The other options under the Entertainment tab were Live Music, Guest Presenters, Learn Something New and Activities, but these aren’t available to book and it just advises you to turn up once on board. It doesn’t give you a chance to book the Limelight Club either - I think that’s another one to book once on board, although I’m sure an act called La Voix is playing there - at least for my cruise.
A word of advice, I received an email saying my Entertainment booking would go live on 23rd July, which it did, but not until around midnight that night - so keep trying if it doesn’t give you the option to book straight away!Happy cruising! 😁

My mother taught me a very important lesson when I was young:
People with true class don't need to tell anyone they have it.
This 100% 👏👏👏

Good point. Even if a taxi was needed to another terminal it’s not really a problem.
I’m definitely not going to worry about it 😎
I was in Southampton a couple of months ago and walked to see Iona as she was docked there. We walked right through Triangle car park, it’s literally a stone’s throw away! 😀😀

I understand. There wasn’t actually much difference in price. I had a credit with Holiday Extras I needed to use up that’s why I booked triangle. Just have to hope nothing goes wrong.
I’m parking with Triangle too - as far as I understand the Ocean terminal is the only one big enough to accommodate Iona so hopefully we’ll be returning to the same one! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

We are not in lockdown! I wish people would stop saying that. We can go to the shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Even weddings can have over 30 guests from June 21st.
We have restrictions.
The roadmap out of lockdown was extended. Therefore we are not out of it. Therefore we are still in it.

Great thanks everyone 😎😎

Does anyone know what impact the lockdown extension will have on cruises booked to sail after 21st June? Will it mean less people can sail and some people may be told they can’t go? 😩😩

Attempting to board Iona with only one COVID vaccine
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
On entering the COVID testing centre at the port for Iona’s maiden voyage, there was a lady who was explaining to the staff that she had only received one vaccine up to that point. Does anyone know if she boarded or what happened to her?
