Be sure to compare the weight, especially the airline carry on.  Our most used luggage includes an airline carry on for each of us.  Bought at TJ Maxx. They sell sets and offer a variety of styles and sizes.  my green suitcase has been to Europe 3 times and on 6 cruises.  Happy Travels

as an avid TJ Maxx shopper i figured i'd check there after the black Friday rush died down, since they don't participate but yet people still pack it in all weekend there lol. i live amung the same people who drink RCI's juice so to speak lol

  2. believe it or not guys u got a question other than black Friday or drink package  questions lol; so i'm going to get my girlfriend a luggage set for Christmas; her stipulations are rose gold and hard shell. i would love to hear your recommendations . pretty much every set i look at had a bunch of 5 star reviews plus a bunch of 1 star reviews... its so hard to pick. my luggage i got a 5 pc set for 79 on a kohl's black Friday deal and its held up for a year now but this year they didn't have much of anything locally in rose gold. i will most likely go with something from amazon or ebay at this point but would have some real travelers opinions.
as always thanks for your advice and opinions !

  3. just look at it this way, most drinks on royal are between 9-15 dollars so 5-6 drinks a day to get your value.. i say book asap. i haven't seen below 55 on my booking. also considering if you're a coffee person the premium coffee is included also bottles of water which comes in handy. you'll defiantly get yours money worth at that price IMO

I have 2 cruises booked for january.  The only thing on sale for them is internet where I saved $4 per day.

Same goes for my march cruise.  Excursions same or more than what I already booked.

But our 2 august cruised have some good sales on excursions where we saved over $100 on 3 excursions so far.

Not seeing any sales on dining packages. Hopefully tomorrow or monday.

the banner does say "black friday preview" and the count down clock ends in a half hour, so still got my fingers crossed for something good in the next half hour

Yes, Junior suites are basically just a larger balcony cabin.  The few suite perks you get are priority check in and  double points as well as dinner in coastal kitchen on OA and QN class ships.

    That is fleet wide.

Whether all the prices will stay the same is unknown.  All I can say is that some items like the soda, refreshment and picture packages are some of the lowest prices I've seen for them.  I'm not expecting any further discounts

agreed there is no telling with royal lol but there is a select few discounted right now, but at this point since the price (for my sailing atleast) the things im watching are the same, im going to hold out and see if tomorrow/friday brings anything better.

Last year the dining package went down on Cyber Monday.  If they do that again I'll buy it for my January cruise on Adventure.  If not I probably won't spend the money.  Right now for my sailing it's $176, which is what it was 2 weeks ago.  It fluctuates between $192 and $176.  Unless they do the BOGO 50% off sale like last Cyber Monday, I'll probably skip it.

any chance you're referring to the Jan 4th sailing? ill be on that one 🙂
im watching the DDP right now, no movement from the 55 per day some of my party got it at 48 when we first booked, one guy grabbed it at the 18 per day on that royal mistake 🙄 ive seen it jump too 59 and 64 also so if cyber monday doesnt bring any good luck ill just pull the trigger on what ever its at

Yeah, just noticed that when I added it to the cart and edited the post above with the correct info. Thanks!

no problem brother i did the same thing when i first starting tracking prices, the key is ignore the sale banner and just look at that per person per day number, it does change! some times up some times down, no rhyme or reason that's the royal way. lol

On my sailing there seems to be some pretty good deals. Harmony Oct 11 - 18:

    • Deluxe Beverage Package: BOGO 50% OFF at approximately 55.80 USD per person per day, so two people would be 83.7 USD per day, or 41.85 USD
    • Ultimate Dining Package: down by approximately 35 USD for a 7-night cruise from the last time I saw the price. It went from 209 USD per person to 174 USD per person, so 25 USD per day.

I wasn't tracking the exact price of other stuff, but The Key went slightly up for me. Internet packages didn't seem to show too much of a difference, but SURF + Stream for 2 devices is now around 17 USD per day, so more or less 8.50 USD per device per day. Prices for activities in CocoCay seem to have gone down as well, and I can see the Coco Beach Club Day Pass for around 46 USD and Thrill WaterPark Full Day Pass for around 68 USD per person.

One thing to note: I'm in Brazil, so all prices I see are in Brazilian Reais. The prices above I have converted using Google's exchange rate, but Royal Caribbean is fairly benevolent in their exchange rates so if you are in the same cruise and note that the prices in USD are slightly higher than what I posted, it could be because of that.

the price per person that shows under the sale banner already reflects the "discount". when you add it to the cart and divide it out you'll see its 55 pp per day + 18% for tip so really aprox 65 pp per day

Yes, sometimes you do need to stay connected.

Doing a live blog is a great way to look back on your cruise afterwards; definitely keeps the memories fresh. I've re-read the one I did last year several times. 😊

yes it seems like it, im new to CC and really enjoy reading the live reviews and find them super helpful when cruising something similar shortly after  so why not give it a go !

I bought the Refreshment Package for $22 CAD tonight...so that's about in line with your $17US.  That's on Explorer for next month.  I had to cancel my Cafe Card as that was duplication. We'll see if it's worth it for me.  The fellow told me that there was no limit to the number of drinks I could have. I know there's a limit with the alcohol package.  I'm looking forward to trying a whole bunch of drinks I've never had.  Should be interesting!

there is no limit with the alcohol package, not on royal other lines do though just fyi

Order a beer with a twist cap like Miller Lite. You can reseal the beverage and it should keep for a day or two in the fridge. Also, you can buy reseal caps for glass bottles before boarding to keep them fresh in your fridge as well. Enjoy!

these are good ideas, and it doesnt put the crew member in an awkward position of having to make the moral decision lol

You will have an amazing time!

The internet is working better at the moment but I think it's because we're in port and a lot of people have got off.

I will definitely do a recap review with pics when I get home.

awesome! we normally don't get the internet but since we are now pet owners and my girlfriends mom is watching our kitten she wants to be able to check in with her mom. i was going to do a review after but now with the internet i may do a live one ? could be fun to just end the day posting while everything is fresh

Step 1: create a spreadsheet for your sailing with columns for all the items you want to track prices of
Step 2: add prices for each item at the time of booking
Step 3: go compare prices whenever a particularly enticing "sale" email comes over
Step 4: buy the item on sale if the price is actually satisfactory for your budget

Warning: "Step 4" may never happen

sale banners mean nothing on RC though, you have to only focus on the $pp number, that's the only thing that matters. book it anytime you see the price go down at all the first time, if it goes down again you can cancel and re-book if you miss a lower price and it never comes back you're out of luck (speaking from experience) was looking for one more price drop and it went up again and never back down again... missed out on two lower prices lol
just my 2cents and i make spread sheets for everything so i dont disagree with with your theory

  15. also you get a soda/water/ or juice in your room day 1. apparently you have to call to arrange which one you want now opposed to when you used to be able to do it online. also as others mentioned its a limited menu for the diamond drink ( but a very good menu basically something for everyone)  many threads with the list you can check out! these 3 as others mentioned only avail. during diamond hours typically 5-8 but may very by an hour or so on different sailings or ships. use it or lose it policy each night, next day 3 new ones will be pre loaded. they can be ordered at the same time i.e you can get a double, it will use 2 of your vouchers but a nice change up for ppl who get the deluxe package that can normally only get a single per bar visit. if attending the diamond lounge during these house there will be a bar tender in there pouring what ever they have, (these don't use your vouchers bc you have to be diamond or higher to even get in) they also have little appetizers in there during these times, very good on mostly all sailings i've been on! plus we have met some awesome people in the lounge 😄
