We were on Adventure recently for 8 night sailing.  Ship is in good shape we had a good cruise.

There were 600+ Diamond members on board, D lounge was chaos  and crowded every night even though they expanded it to the entire lounge area on deck 14.1

that is good to know thank you for the info! only about 1/3 of our party is diamond or higher so we don't really go to the DL when with a big party like this, personally i really enjoy the DL and will probably go up there at least one night before dinner too show the woman (first time she will have diamond status through me 🙂 ) what its all about and be able to review it !

    Yes

from what i've been taught from my overplanning (not a bad thing) mother, you don't need a passport if you are on a closed loop (leaving and arriving in the same country) you wouldn't need a passport. but god forbid you for any reason had to leave from one of the ports, or get left in a port for what ever reason, it would NOT be easy making your way back home.
Maybe someone else can weigh in with better information, but we play it better safe than sorry and keep our passports updated and on us while off the ship. its good for 10 years so its not like you are constantly dumping money to keep it.

If you want to snorkel in Bonaire, I suggest using Woodwind Tours. They are probably the best snorkeling tour we have taken.

The snorkling tripwith Woodwind in Bonaire is the best day out I have ever had. Ever.  Fantastic.

so im assuming since you're mentioning the company by name its a company on the island? not RC affiliated? if so how would one go about booking that? ive never done a non RC excursion, thanks!

  4. I'm going on a 9 day to the ABCs on adventure in January, would love to hear about these or what ever ones you end up doing as we are still trying to decide!

i've been to curacao one other time a few years ago, we did a tour (don't remember what they called it) that included a guided bus ride to the curacao distillery that was super interesting, then a tour of the place and samples once we got there, i enjoyed that but i feel in love with the island so this time i plan on exploring it myself along with beach bumming it. such a beautiful place IMO.

most likely will snorkel in Bonaire  and still undecided in Aruba

  5. I had the boardwalk balcony on the oasis in 2018, that room came with a free dinner at JR that's the only reason we event went there. was my one and only time dinning at a non included restaurant throughout my 13 cruises. never visited a JR on land but i will say i did enjoy that burger. around here unless your going to a fast food restaurant, a burger will run you 10-18 dollars.

It would be possible, if you have enough time to make a name change....a replacement can't just show up and board the ship at the last minute.

    thanks for that information!

brings me to my next point for the OP when you return, keep me in mind for your reserve guy for next time we are not too far from each other ! lol 😆

  7. Do i have to call to have my girlfriend (yes we live together for a few years now) linked to my account? last year was her first cruise but i was under the impression you needed to marry to get the others status so i never even thought to call or ask about it, when i book i put the same address for both of us, will it automatically give her the diamond status because of that or do i have to call and link them officially? We have a cruise in Jan that i would like her to be diamond if that's a possibility. We get the unlimited drinks but i do enjoy the pre dinner apps and company of the diamond lounge on most voyages, i've met alot of great people in there!

Looking forward to your review, it's a great ship hopefully not too crowded in your case as it seems to be at the end of the school holidays. At full capacity the Voyager class feels overloaded in areas such as Windjammer, MDR (wait times) and the pool deckduring sea days, since the addition of many cabins in the recent dry docks..

we aim to avoid the school break weeks, only one in the group is still school age. We would all rather not be over run with kids lol

Please let me know what the price of the ultimate beverage package is, if purchased on board.

Safe sailing... We'll be on b2b in late February.

    Thank you.

i will do that for you forsure, most of our party has already purchased the unlimited, i snoozed and missed a few good deals. right now the price is hovering around 55pp per day, one guy in our group happened to grab it on the mistake day and got it for 18pp per day! ( i could never be that lucky lol) some got it a few months ago at like 45pp per day which is pretty good. im going to see if black friday/ cyber monday brings any good luck if not ill just be purchasing it at what ever it is.

  10. On the Oasis last year me and my girl friend were debating between the central park balcony and the boardwalk balcony, we're a young couple in our 20s and so we ultimately decided boardwalk and i was not disappointed. it was fun sitting on the balcony watching the kids play, watching people walk around the shops and such, also the aqua theater was on the back of the boat and we could easily see the shows they did there from the balcony. we did go attend the one aqua show to see it better but saw them a few times practicing. also most nights when there wasn't a show they had a movie on the big screen back there which i enjoyed 45 min of with a cocktail while the better half got ready for dinner 🙂 this year we are going on the adventure so we don't have the option of these but next time on one of the big ones we're going to do central park, and with these other reviews it seems i wont be disappointed !

  11. Good morning, afternoon or evening..what ever time you may be reading this

In less than two months i will be sailing Adventure of the seas leaving Jan 4th out of Fort Lauderdale, i haven't seen really any recent reviews of this ship so why not do one my self! i was looking for some in-depth reviews of the boat because this will be my first time aboard this one, i may be new to this ship but not to cruising! Cruising has always been my family's preferred method of vocation, i mean come on how could it not be?! I'm 25 from Western NY and this will be my 13th cruise, my family has been loyal to royal from before my time so even though that's all i've known, i have no complaints or reason to change now. Not for nothing i have to chase that Diamond Plus status.

Well let's get back to the task at hand, Adventure of the Seas. We have i big party of 20 of us going so between what i do and what others in the group elect to do i should be able to construct a pretty good review. This Itinerary is a 9 day, leaving from Florida , making 3 stops at the 3 ABC islands; Aruba I have been to before, Curacao i went two years ago and loved so looking fowarding to being back there, and bonaire which will be new for most if not all of us in the party! We will be flying down the day before and most of the party will be spending one night in a big ABnB just minutes from the port.

I think thats a pretty good start and back story so i will now update this at times throughout but mainly after we get back, if anyone is reading this prior to the sail date and has specific questions the would like me to seek out throw it in the comments and ill see what i can do my best to figure it out for you.

    Todo list:
-menu pics from bars and restaurants

-staff reviews (typically no complaints in this department)

    -ship review

    -island reviews (what everyone liked/disliked)

-anything else that seems worth sharing

Thanks for reading as i look forward to my first review on this site and encourage anyone to jump in with questions and feedback !!
