And that is why I am finding better prices for Europe for next year on NCL and Princess. they have lower deposits and are refundable. Princess doing nice cruises out of Southampton and NCL Viva has nicer itinerary out of Athens to Greece next year than say Odyssey

I would say take a nice photo using ship photographer with a small sign saying 40th anniversary and then give her 40 hugs. Or in jest give her 40 dollars and tell her to buy something for herself. seriously enjoy trip. you could hide in the room 40 love notes too. Then again 40 roses would be nice if ship has them. You could but the ship model too. Jewel is nice ship and I am sailing her r/t out of Amsterdam to Norway before you board. Toodles

Enjoy Wonder as she is a great ship. I sailed on her 6th cruise out of Ft Lauderdale in 2022. Also hope you get dollars back for cancellation of other trip

I am seeing signed ships and photos of the Capt TEO for Icon. I think Capt Loy must have gotten off either 10th or 17th of Feb because the item has been up on ebay for at least 5 days.

while I agree with you, I still use NCL for Europe as I can go in solo studio and get good prices. NCL Escape has a nicer itinerary for western Med than say RCI or Celebrity. I have a nice 10 day. Next year the Viva has a nice itinerary out of Venice for Greece. So I will overlook a few things for their itineraries.

wow interesting, the list for NZ keeps on growing. In fact, just in the last few years the list for quite a few ports is growing for who can sail in (Bar Harbor, Key West, Venice and soon some ports in Norway) and then southern ports on what type of sunscreen can be used. That and weather patterns and in some places strikes and unrest, I am feeling cruising is going to hard to make decisions for places I want to go but now unsure. oh well

wish they had enforced this rule on my recent two Carnival ships. They were newer ships but a lot of kids in hot tubs. I try to only go in the hot tubs in the morning after they have been cleaned.

I agree and the blueprint is done and just making a another one easy for shipyard. Now the guessing will begin as the when and what the new name will be announced.

well that is good to hear since the ship is in a nice part of the world. The whole 2nd segment sounded the best to me. So, who is voting besides the WC group. Will the whole 3rd segment get to vote too. And what about the smaller segments. It sounds like headquarters has a lot of work to do. I for one would pick the one with less sea days.

I too am sorry to hear about illness. but if the virus was caught on the ship, why would they charge you a lot of money. I do not understand that portion.

I sailed on both last year and they were each in good shape. I loved the Vision having the buffet in front of the ship and the theatre is very nice and different alyout and nice seats. Vision uses the central atrium for a lot of things. Nice seating areas outside down along the outdoor promenade, The Liberty has a water ride that the two sisters do not (Freedom, and Indy). Liberty has a nice show called Saturday Night Fever!!! I am sure you have heard of it, and it is a full production just like Oasis class ships (well not Wonder)

this is why I would never book a cruise their first month. Things happen at the shipyard. Now if it was delayed and even my Nov cruise was cancelled I would have to cuss up a storm then. ha ha best of luck to the #3 cruise.

It in a way is no surprise that the Red Sea is out, I suppose they need time to adjust and get port times and see what and how this will be managed. Fell bad for those who wanted to see some of the missing ports like perhaps Dubai. I am wondering if the Black Sea area for Bulgaria will not happen as well. stay tuned I guess.

of my 3 sailings with Anthem, I loved the spring of 2016 since they had the four different dining area with different menus and the Northstar was free to go over both sides. I hated the changes and I am not the only one. dining was not that hard to reserve, and it was great to have 4 choices. I would say it is time to get a new show in main theatre. going on ICON May 4th can't wait to check it out specially the pearl area.

at least the TWO70 in the back will be nice and the solarium as well. She has gotten a lot of nice reviews but I still like Anthem. That ship is the only one with a bench swing in the very front of the solarium and I like Giraffe mascot too.as well as Jamie Olivers restaurant.

well I am sorry you missed the first sailing as it seems this is starting to happen more and more. I can't wait to see the ship in November myself. It will be an upgrade from the Grand that I did last year.

yea I wish they had kept the build the same as the sisters. Even in Caribbean they get rainand having an indoor pool was good. Also, folks try to get out of sun. Just wrong of the to do Odyssey differently IMHO. Still, I will try her in late April of 2025
