oh goody looking for something for late summer after I am done with Europe on Princess and NCL.

yea I think they like them to stay at least 3 years which is what Oasis and Adventure did. But it was time for Anthem to leave after many years. I am doing Odyssey in April of 2025

great photos. I did Amber twice last year and I am going to get to go again with the new Sun Princess in Nov. It is a private area and reminds me a lot of Harvest Cay (NCL) in Belize.

well if you have never been to NE unless you plan to one day drive up to Maine and the area, I would pick the most ports. Also Celebrity goes to NE from Bayonne as well as NCL from Boston. I think Princess goes out of Brooklyn too or at least they did. keep on looking.

I would say stay about 4-5 cabins from the aft and around the mid deck. Not too close to boardwalk or too close to top deck. Yes you will hear noise from aqua show, but you can watch it many times. I loved the Boardwalk area and did it for Allure and Wonder. Just know that you will some noise up until 11pm. but very fun for people watching. Go for it.

a lot depends on the time of year and for how long. A lot of the ships out of NJ/NY may not go up to Prince Edward Island or even to Quebec city. Sailing out of Boston is nice and you get more of NE but yes you have to fly unless you want to drive. So I am surprised to hear the HAVEN is cheaper than Royal. wow. well do more research and pick whichever gives the best ports. Make sure you get to Bar Harbor.

most likely it will be Symphony again. Not sure about Liberty though.

well I do agree that on the newer CCL have more quick food places and the new ICON now has a marketplace including a crepe station. I enjoy most specialty dining on most ships. But the Oasis central park is wonderful and the solarium in the front of the ship is nice too. Wonder of the Seas has the best of all Oasis class ships. I do like that RCL ship have a lot of FREE variety of flavored teas in buffet unlike CCL. oh well

I too loved Celestial Strings but the circus was just okay. I also did like the we are One show. I agree on the Marketplace and more ships are putting them on like the new ICON of the Seas. I never ate in MDR as I enjoyed the buffet area. I found the french toast on HORIZON better since they used the grill from Guy Fieri's right around the corner. you are lucky to live near PC as new ships going there like the next ICON ship called STAR and the next Disney called TREASURE. I don't like the 1 hour drive and only go if doing a Disney cruise as they have shuttle from hotels. I am touched that you sent me my own review. toodles and happy sailing. I have 9 this year almost 1 a month but no CCL. going to Europe twice for cruises. Once to med and once to just Norway. If you have never been to Norway you really must go and from either Copenhagen or Amsterdam.

still most folks are being advised to try and get to Norway this year or next. And it is only some ports that are inland.

I know but by page 6 I would have like to have heard about the ship not pre ship. Still I get it and it is a style for them.

actually you should be more concerned with just only doing a few ports in Norway. I think you should try to do just a Norway cruise and with as many ports as you can. Royal and Hal do those longer Norway trips. And I think a lot of the NCL trips are 1 way which means you will pay more for air. If I were you, I would only keep the NCL cruise but for 2026 if you intend to go back again. Norway is a much bigger country and nicer and more interesting port. Also doing just Norway in 2025 is good before the put restrictions on Geiranger and Flam. So do some research on Norway and consider just a Norway 10-14 day trip.

well I hear that the new pool in adult's area is heated so that could be a nice thing to think about when deciding to purchase the pass.

I notice Celebrity has the milk in large container with a pouring spout. I rather like the cartons so that I can see the date of expiration

And when I did chops in 2021 on Symphony, I told them I wanted that salad listed outside on the menu that had goat cheese and applies. They told me it was the dinner menu to which I argued then put up the Lunch menu otherwise it is misleading. Then a few minutes later the chef came to my table and told me he would make it for me and winked he understood. When I left I am it a point to tip the chef beside the waiter. So if you see something on the dinner menu, ask kindly to see the chef and wink wink.

I would say within the next couple of weeks. I am not sure if Loy started in early Dec or before that in Finland. I am on ICON in May and hoping to have Loy again but also would have been nice to see Johnny. Wish we knew why he was not going to ICON as that would be the last class of ship for him to add to his resume.

well given that other cruise lines are moving their ships and RCI is almost one of the last to decide I would say yes hold off or get insurance.

I agree the Cloud 17 is a good compromise even if not called as adult it will be somewhat adult. the Hideway I am hearing is way way loud and the pool with those beds in it is unappealing to me. Still when I go on in May, I will wander back and put my feet in and look down for a photo, then head back to Cloud 17.

good to know then not to expect much until after a lot of pages. I do not need to know about anyone's pre trip hotels, luggage, flights, Just want to know about the ship.

agree I think most hype is and should be ignored.

well not on Royal or Celebrity or even NCL or Disney do they charge for flavored tea. I spoke to a lot of folks who were amazed at this.

good glad it was not the food.
