  1. My experience has been that the points aren't accrued and applied until the end of the cruise in which you received. Thus you would not be upgraded until the end of the cruise you earned them on. This happened to me when I hit Zenith. Wasn't able to be upgraded until I completed the cruise.
  2. We have done a combination of the Singapore to Dubai and Dubai to Rome. The menus are the same but in the OV they often have regionally inspired offerings.
  3. The Sommeliers have always been part of the Bar Staff and not part of the tipping pool of the Luminae dining room. They also do not have to share their tips with the Dining Room Pool. We always tip separately.
  4. Should be noted that they have both specialty Coffee which included in the Classic package and they have Premium Coffee (ones with Liquor in them (many of these are only only fully covered by the Premium Package). I believe the limit of Classic is still 10.00 and you are charged only the difference if the drink is higher.
  5. You can do it at any specialty restaurant or outside the OVC they have a Specialty Dining Podium setup.
  6. The reason for this is that for every upgrade it triggers a number of upgrade opportunities. e.g. an upgrade to a s Sunset Sky Suite will open two Sky Suites and those will probably open up and Aqua or a Concierge.
  7. I noticed they also didn't have Canada. I just chose United Kingdom with my U.S. address. The next day (yesterday), I received an e-mail asking me to send proof of Status which I did.
  8. First off unless things change we have always sailed on Celebrity out of City Cruise Terminal. The National Express Bus service is very convenient and close to the Cruise Terminal. The National Rail is also convenient and is about 2 miles from the City Cruise Terminal. To avoid the early morning rush we have stayed at the Ibis Hotel which is about 1/3 of a mile from the terminal. While we to an Uber I noticed lots of people walking with their roller suitcase from both the hotel as well as the National Express Bus Stop. Not a great hotel but very convenient and clean. Like most other ports the Check In usually begins around 11:00 for Suites and Zenith and the appointment time for others. The port has a major clog area at the entrance where all passengers go through Security before entering the big Warehouse size terminal where there are lanes set up for checkin
  9. Received an offer from my Agent from Ponant - Since we are Zenith on Celebrity they indicate we will get Grand Admiral Benefits INTRODUCING PONANT’S STATUS MATCH! “We are excited to announce that PONANT has implemented a Status Match Program. Our new guests will benefit from a status match and enjoy all the advantages of the PONANT Yacht Club! If your clients have a loyalty status with another cruise line, PONANT will provide matching status right away. We offer various reductions, depending on status: The PONANT Status Match offer applies only to loyalty members from other cruise lines. Equivalence is evaluated based on a comparison of the qualifying criteria for each status. You will receive a confirmation email once you've completed an online form. In order for the equivalence to be validated, you will be required to provide a copy of the loyalty membership. A Status Match can only be carried out once per passenger. Equivalence entitles the beneficiary to the same benefits as those provided by the PONANT Yacht Club. Submission Portal on Ponant Site - https://us.ponant.com/benefit-from-the-status-match
  10. In most of our Asian, South American, Australian and New Zealand Ports all food was prohibited off the ship and they often had bag inspections and in some ports X-Ray machines for backpacks and dogs. In Australia and New Zealand there are sign and the fines for Violation are quite high. Not sure about your particular tour but on every private tour I've had they may not include a lunch but most have numerous free time at stops for 30 minutes or more where we were able to get a bite of lunch. They also often tell you where to get a light snack or drink.
  11. @chengkp75 thanks for the very informative post. Great explanation.
  12. I recently dined 4x at Eden on Apex. They do have set's play above in the Eden Bar. On all occasions the sound was at a pleasant level -- They had a guitarist "Charlie) for one set and an acoustical violinist. Around 10:00 PM they had a show that was a bit louder but still not overpowering. I can tell you it is very enjoyable compared to when they first introduced Eden and had that terrible show that as so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation.
  13. I then suspect that the ships themselves disregard their own regulations.
  14. As a point of clarity. I have often seen the power strips in use in most of the upper suites. To my knowledge they are not surge protected which is the prohibition. I've also requested a power strip and the IT guy came to my room and gave it to me and plugged it in along with an extension cord. While the ships may prohibit us from bring one with us they do have a limited supply of both.
  15. I have used it to power my Roku or Firestick. I believe the TV must be turned on for the power to be active.
  16. While Infinity my be scheduled for it's regular Dry Dock and recertification Celebrity does not have any current plans to resume their Revolution. They usually clean up and repair all the Rust spots and repaint the hull. They usually freshen the soft goods but I would expect the interior dark decor and color schemes will remain.
  17. Working perfect for me on the West Coast.
  18. There is a USB on the TV that can also be used for Power. To cut down on cables I purchase some Octopus Cables and some multi port usb blocks - both 220v and 120 V multi-port blocks
  19. Usually they begin updating 60 days in advance but in May on Apex they didn't update the information until the morning of the cruise. To get a good idea of offerings you might find a similar cruise this summer and check out the information. Up until they update anything showing for your cruise are just place holders.
  20. That I'm not sure - the one for Tuscon is a take off of the regular menu. I'm sure if you met with the Restaurant Manager at least 24 hours before dining they could either make accommodation like food allergies or dietary needs. I know some with Vegetarian and Vegan requirements were accommodated.
  21. A question that has come up on some other threads. Do you have Regular or Premium Internet and how is connectivity with Starlink? Appreciate it.
  22. Definitely has not been my experience. I should expand that experience may be linked to expectation. If one is expecting like internet speeds at home they will be disappointed. I've not been to Alaska with Starlink but had very good connectivity in Greenland and Iceland. Recently on our Caribbean, TransAtlantic and European cruise I posted daily speed reports and they seem consistent with @Ken the cruiser test between Sydney to Vancouver. Celebrity has capped the speeds of both Premium and Regular wifi - Premium seems capped at 5-6 meg Download and 2.5 - 3 Upload. I was able to stream both YouTubeTV as well as Netflix for the complete 6 weeks and only had one dead spot when they were shifting satellites between North America and the European Satellites.
  23. Mike, With the exception of Retreat Class room service offers Continental Breakfast Only for free. All other orders like full breakfast are subject to a $9.95 per ROOM surcharge plus gratuities of 20% ($11.15).
  24. The kids menu is available at all restaurants as well as Specialty ones.
  25. Another option is this Live Post - They have been posting pictures of the daily menu with pictures of what they ordered.
