  1. Your cabin attendant will move everything to your new cabin. You can leave anything hanging up in the closet where it is, you just pack everything else in your luggage and it will be waiting for you when you are allowed into your next cabin. We switched cabins on Indy in July, couldn't have gone more smoothly.
  2. I noticed that and edited my post but you were too quick, lol.
  3. 99% of the time, it will be. Happy to help.
  4. Literally anytime between now and embarkation day. You can use the barcode trick to find out early (usually). Either add your set sail pass in the app to your Apple wallet (if you use an iPhone) or scan the barcode. Numbers will appear below the barcode. The numbers to the right of the dash are your cabin.
  5. Not necessarily. I have received my RoyalUp e-mail when I've checked in 45 days out on my last few cruises.
  6. You don't miss out, you will be notified onboard.
  7. Fair point. I've never paid for one and only been treated to one once. I'll go back to answering questions about cheap GTY's, D vouchers, and included food venues... my areas of expertise. 🙃
  8. I agree that a GS has very few perks once you’re below Oasis class, IMO. No CK, no free internet, no free 11-11 beer, wine, soda, water in the SL, etc. You get open bar happy hour & the nicer room of course & everyone values things differently.
  9. This is pretty much the answer to all things RoyalUp- related. No one has their CIA level algorithm. Any reports of past results are anecdotal.
  10. I'll let it go after this but there are often tons of cabins left (at least for large categories like interior) when GTY's are assigned. By your logic, they are all undesirable or at least less desirable than the ones sold and that's simply not the case because of the subjectivity I've referenced.
  11. I see your point but I don't think you understood mine. I may have opened up a cabin someone else finds desirable, not undesirable. As an example, some people like lower decks for motion sickness or to be closer to the promenade. I prefer to be a bit higher. If I move from deck 6 to deck 10 in almost the same location of the ship, what type of cabin did I open up? Desirable or undesirable? My main point is that desirability is subjective when it comes to many cabins.
  12. I book interior GTY's and have switched my assignment several times to other available locations I've found quite desirable. Different people prefer different locations for different reasons. I think you're greatly over-generalizing.
  13. Are there already 2 ships there doing standard Bahamas or Caribbean itineraries that include Cococay on those days? Just throwing out a possible reason.
  14. Then unfortunately you truly don't have a cabin assignment yet. The GTY will eventually change to a cabin number. It happens on occasion though most people can find out the cabin very early via the barcode. Just keep checking.
  15. When I eat at a churrascaria on land, my meals can take quite a while. 🤣
  16. I had no issues with Indy; loved our B2B in July and going again in 20 days but I'm jealous of El Loco Fresh on Freedom. Having sailed mostly Oasis class for many years, I miss having an included (free) venue besides the standard MDR/WJ/Sorrentos/Cafe Promenade. No decision for me since PC is so close but figured I'd share. They're obviously quite similar.
  17. Often? No, but it happens for a variety of a reasons.
  18. You can also just choose her check-in time via the app and let her fill in the rest later... unless you really want to be nice enough to complete the entire thing for her. 😁
  19. I have a pair of khaki colored pants that are somewhere in between jeans and pants (lightweight but styled more like jeans so great for both Florida and cruising). Those have become my go to night time cruising pants as someone who never ever dresses up.
  20. Marry a woman who doesn't drink and doesn't care to have 4 mocktails per day. 😁
  21. Why do people like you still respond to threads like this?
  22. Yes it's a scam. In addition to the obvious reasons like FedEx doesn't reandomly e-mail you and ask for $2, the current block supplier uses UPS (in the US at least).
  23. How many times do I have to explain that this is not a thing!?! 🤣
