  1. To each his own. I'm happy with the machine and WJ. Simple tastes.
  2. I do that every morning as long as the machine is on and prepped when I get there (very early). I use the disposable to-go cups to make one at a time and then pour into my travel mug for hygiene's sake. As mentioned above, I wouldn't want to hold up a line doing this but I'm lucky if I see a single person other than possibly a staff member prepping for breakfast later.
  3. They should be able to use w-fi calling in airplane mode on the ship. You can test this at home. Put the phone in airplane mode, make sure w-fi calling is enabled, and try a call. You can also use FaceTime.
  4. LOL, it's OK. I use vanilla creamer and liken it to the logic of not using really expensive liquor if you're going to mix it with something. I was buying Walmart coffee at one point before inflation caused the price to go up. 🙈
  5. I'm sitting here drinking my Maxwell House, purchased at Sams Club, brewed in my $10 Mr. Coffee from a Black Friday sale, dreaming of that machine. 🤣 (Yes, I am frugal and proud.)
  6. Thanks. Wouldn't work for my picky wife but appreciate it.
  7. I wouldn't go to a lounge for plain coffee either, only cappuccino, latte, etc. I'm sure I'll make plain coffee in my suite at some point but I much prefer cappuccino, especially when it's free.
  8. Thanks for the review, will be on Harmony Sunday, tests permitting. We're going to Sabor and my wife doesn't eat Mexican either (although she loves yucca fries and can eat a cheese quesadilla). May I ask what that person in your party ate?
  9. That figures, same thing here in central Florida. I got caught in the 3-day window and had to schedule ours yesterday for this Friday. We have CVS appointments as backups but Walgreens is much more convenient for us.
  10. Thanks. Been in an ongoing conversation with someone on the ship now and she is my source for it not being available in the early AM since she's upset too (although we were referencing the SL not the DL). I'll try both if need be. My usual routine (not usually in a suite) is to go to the DL very early for my coffee, grab some danish from Cafe Promenade, and have "pre-breakfast" while my much healthier wife goes running.
  11. I wish someone did it at the end of the night so it's ready for the early birds like me.
  12. Probably not new to the coffee machine aficionados, but it's nice to bring a travel mug and then fill it with multiple servings of whatever from the machine (using a to-go cup to pour into your travel mug to be hygienic of course).
  13. There must be a coffee bean harvesting excursion somewhere in the Caribbean.
  14. It's self-service but simple to learn. It used to be available 24/7 but recent reports from certain ships state it's not prepped until 7am or so. Only a big deal if you wake up earlier than that and used to go get several cappuccinos every morning. 😭
  15. I was going to say something like this but I'm not a coffee expert. All I know is I drink whole lot of free cappuccino from that machine and it tastes good to me.
  16. Yep, no idea why I even post in threads like this. Hope everyone enjoys their dining experiences on their cruises.
  17. That line above should cause these silly threads to cease to exist, yet on and on they go...
  18. You know there's a free coffee machine in the Diamond Lounge for cappuccino, espresso, latte, etc., right?
  19. Got mine yesterday morning, 5/23 for my 5/29 Harmony sailing. Sent a handful of requests and got a response that evening that everything would be taken care of. First time in a suite, very impressed so far.
  20. We definitely did but we also stretched the budget a bit with the land portion and didn't do as much in all the ports as we could have. You'll love all of it, just some parts will be even better than others.
  21. Think I mentioned somewhere in this thread we would never pay for it and love going to Cococay for free so I don't disagree with most of what you said. Just wanted to clarify the different cabanas and point out there are some things you can't replicate for free. If you have 8 people going, it's not THAT terrible at the old $1899-ish price. People pay $200/person for excursions that include far less. Hell, that's roughly how much the beach club alone costs now without the cabana! At $3499-ish and if you have less people, it's damn expensive, but everything is relative. Thankfully, like on the ship, RC offers something for everyone.
  22. Same with ours. CVS is my backup to Walgreen's.
