  1. Book a refundable group rate if you can get one and worry about it later?
  2. Also Fish N Ships is now mostly complimentary (never tried it though). I'm still bitter that it was still completely $$ for the 11 nights I was on her last year, lol. We had very good food and drinks from their Playmakers. Even if I got a deal on Adventure, the lack of food venues makes her pretty unappealing to us.
  3. I definitely didn't mean Star, lol, but I think you knew that. I'm sure someone else close to me will ask for quotes on her though. 🙄 I'd do a B2B on Utopia but I expect the prices to be stupid. I'm mostly waiting for Wonder June/July before Star launches (which you also already know). Not expecting those prices to be good either but we all have to decide what we're willing to spend... and sometimes that can mean knowingly overpaying a bit.
  4. I've looked at Tampa just b/c it's close and cheap (relatively speaking) but I don't blame ya obviously. I need something to look at while waiting for the rest of the PC ships to be released. No real interest in Adventure.
  5. Of course you will... maniac. To the OP... Looking at your cruise history, I worry how you will feel about Rhapsody. Some people like smaller ships, some don't. I don't care for any ship below Voyager class. Not enough food venues for me and at least like to have a promenade. That said, only you know your finances. If Harmony is too expensive and your choice is Rhapsody or nothing, I'd go with Rhapsody... but there's a reason the old, small ships out of Tampa are so much cheaper than Oasis class.
  6. I can't speak for others but I've been posting about it b/c I gave up counting decades ago. That said, nothing has been posted here that isn't common knowledge to the BJ community and the casinos don't care about it enough to go chasing down posters from a cruise forum using anonymous handles.
  7. This. Offer Available: Thursday, November 9, 2023 – Friday, November 24, 2023 Sailing Window: November 13, 2023 – December 31, 2024 (Availability of offers varies by eligible ships and individual tours - details are below)
  8. You could always try to explain to the grumps that whatever someone else does is just as likely to help them as hurt them, mathematically speaking, but that's pretty much guaranteed to go poorly. 🤣
  9. How - The easiest tip off is that when the count goes up (meaning the player now has the edge instead of the house), a card counter will start betting more. This is the betting part of how it works and is very easy to spot if you know what you're looking for. There are ways for counters to hide what they're doing but that's the simple answer. Why is it not allowed - Because the casino doesn't want you to ever have an edge even if you're not breaking any rules or laws. It isn't any different than being an astute player but if the law lets them stop such a player, they will, to maximize profit.
  10. They hold back a % of reservations for booking onboard. Follow the above advice from @PhillyFan33579.
  11. No issues for me ever… even when I parked at noon for Allure’s 1st sailing from PC when Wonder & Indy were already parked with no one disembarking. Those new surface lots provide tons of extra spots, IMO. All that said, we have previously always parked in the garage for whatever ship around 10am with no issue. So even if you want to avoid surface lots, I’m not too discouraged.
  12. Makes it convenient to always have soda/water/beer/seltzer in your cabin cooler, especially if you're nearby the SL.
  13. FWIW, been there twice (once OTW cabana, once beach cabana) and the food was excellent both times. Extended family all loved the filet both times and after the first visit agreed the lobster tail was overrated but the coconut crusted lobster sandwich was very good. Only thing we didn't care for was the dessert... which is no big deal b/c we had our server bring us funnel cakes from the Snack Shack and those are always good. Service was also excellent both times. We were there a year apart and actually requested our server from the previous year and our request was granted. Don't think he remembered us but we remembered him and his great service. All that said, I enjoy CocoCay for free and wouldn't pay for the beach club, let alone a cabana (I was treated by a generous family member both times), but we had a great time.
  14. Thanks for the reminder! 😠🤣
  15. Keep in mind you are limited to older, smaller ships if you want to sail out of Tampa. There is a bridge that prevents Voyager class or larger from sailing from there. #blowupthebridge
  16. You should hate it. It increases the house edge by an astronomical rate. Someone posted the exact % a while back but I'm too lazy to find it.
  17. We're in similar boats although since I'm specifically waiting to see what is sailing 7N's out of PC in June/July before Star (I assume Wonder) and the prices, I have no idea when that will be. Then I'll also be waiting for February.
  18. If you are playing at a disadvantage, you cannot overcome that disadvantage with any type of betting scheme.
  19. We've definitely ramped up in recent years. Happy to to have just taken one last month and to have 4 booked b/c I'm unsure of what the future will hold until the ships I'm waiting for are released.
