  1. Agreed, since I only sail from PC, can't remember the last time I wasn't on the ship prior to 11am let alone not checked-in at the port.
  2. Compared to what and how so? I'd happily sail any Oasis class ship but I do appreciate the differences/venues on Wonder (loved Mason Jar brunch, it has El Loco which I like, has Playmakers, liked the covered Solarium, liked the WJ layout, etc.). Just curious, not being argumentative, everyone has their own preferences.
  3. My guess is smaller ships & Pinnacles skew older. Wonder has been sailing with like 60% new cruisers (no status) & very few Pinnaces based on several top tier boards I’ve seen posted this summer.
  4. Chances are you can probably get on before your 12:00 time but don't be upset if you wind up waiting. There's never a guarantee that they will let you board early. I can confirm based on my own June 4th sailing and from several reports since then that boarding does seem to begin very early for Wonder... more like 10:10-10:15am.
  5. Pretty sure I mentioned "borrowing" the SL coffee machine on Indy one morning last July b/c the DL machine was broken, lol. I was polite and I don't think the whopping 3 suite guests in there at 7am minded. Fortunately the DL machine was working after that. I really liked the newer model machine in the SL on Wonder and the DL has 2 of them so I like my chances. It should make up for having to go all the way down to the basement for my coffee. We won't be super high up but it's still a ways down from decks 9-11 (where we'll be). Only good part is that 6-7am is the one time I don't mind taking the elevators. Some people would rather sleep than get coffee... weirdos.
  6. Thanks, but not quite there yet, need the 7 points from our March cruise (which apparently leaves on St. Patrick's Day). Balcony discount doesn't help when you only book interiors, lol. I'm looking forward to the 2 extra drinks, BOGO dinners, and 4 days of internet between the 2 of us though... and my wife may or may not use the free laundry for her workout clothes.
  7. The gators don't bother you as long as you don't do something dumb like swim in a lake. The rest... I don't blame you. Besides the heat, we always talk about how we went from cute, fuzzy animals in PA like rabbits, chipmunks, deer, etc. to critters down here like gators, armadillos, lizards, etc. Being close to PC is by far my favorite part of living here, lol.
  8. Absolutely... but coming from FL, it's either going to be cool or cold to us no matter what. We go to CocoCay to cool off, even in October! 🤣 #itswaytoohothere
  9. Nope, it's for families with kids and guys who married teachers and have to sail in the summer even though they have no kids. *sigh* That said, we'll feel extra special when we're finally D+ next June and July and there are maybe 150 D+/Pinnacles onboard. 😁 (OK, not really, and I don't care, just give me my extra perks.)
  10. I get it, that used to be me, but your situation is far more fun. I would just be waiting for my interior to be officially assigned... often b/c I was waiting to switch it to a different one in a spot we liked better. Now that I've chosen my locations, the wait is kind of rough... especially since we don't sail again until March... but then we have 3 in 5 months so I can't really complain. If only we were retired or didn't have to follow my wife's teacher schedule. Oh well, 1st world problems.
  11. Maybe it's because we were born and raised in PA and had been in FL for 18 years but we wanted it to be on the cold side. Our weather in June 2018 was great (50s-60s).
  12. Not that I am aware of unless they make some sort of special lounge when there are a crap load of Pinnacles like the President's cruise. There's the suite lounge and the diamond lounge and that's it AFAIK.
  13. Here's a way to see the CP for any cruise you have not booked...
  14. As someone who enjoys the perks and doesn't care about the cabin, I agree with both of you.
  15. If you change the day to your CocoCay day you will see an option for the map.
  16. There's a map in the app and here's one... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/perfect-day-at-cococay-map.pdf There may be paper maps at guest services on the ship and/or they may have them when you get off but really not sure since we don't need one and Royal has been cutting down on paper (you can decide if it's to save money, to save the environment, or both).
  17. I'm sorry the crew didn't follow policy on your cruise but that's not how it is supposed to work and not how it worked as recently as last month for me (or on any other Oasis class cruise I've ever been on). If you want to keep arriving 45 minutes early, by all means, do what makes you comfortable.
  18. They do not give away your reservations anywhere near that early and you can often walk right in via the standby line for bigger venues like the main theater without waiting in any line for 30+ mins.
  19. Very long review of our 2018 trip from June 12-30 (10 days on land followed by 7-night cruise southbound) in my signature if it helps.
  20. This. You will absolutely be fine with an official birth certificate and DL.
  21. Only once for us too... we missed Roatan in 2019 due to high winds. We received nothing but an apology.
  22. Prices, in general, are insanely high right now compared to historic prices.
  23. Yes, pizza is available at Cafe Promenade on Voyager class. Sorrentos started with Freedom class.
