  1. Agreed... except when I decided to walk up from deck 6 to deck 17 on Wonder after an aqua show b/c the elevators were stupid crowded. Those last few flights were rough, lol.
  2. To many of us it's a great day to enjoy a beach, pool, great food, and drinks without spending a penny extra (besides tipping for D drinks). I'm glad Royal is profiting greatly from it and don't begrudge anyone who chooses to spend their money there... it's their money. To each his own.
  3. Yeah, I think there were some decent prices for Mariner in September in the last GGG flier. I was just curious what RC would do with 20+ interiors that appeared that close to sailing in the current climate. Even in my past days of last minute deals, I think around 20 days out was the closest I booked. We're flexible in the summer but never actually jumped on something a week from sailing. That's not enough time for my pre-cruise diet, especially if I had just sailed a month or so earlier.
  4. Maybe we'll cross paths once you move. The website prices for interiors on my future Wonder cruises are insane. Some of the prices I have were pretty good at the time, others just "acceptable" (my opinion when I booked them, not compared to current website prices, and everything is relative). Right now, to choose your own interior for 2 people, I'm seeing $4200, $3800, and $4700 for my next 3. Spring Break and Summer are expensive but yikes!
  5. In case I didn't already know last minute deals were dead. Yeesh.
  6. That is my answer to a multitude of questions, lol, including this one.
  7. If you get off the ship early, unless you are the 2nd ship there like 2 hours after another big ship has already arrived, it doesn't take much luck unless your definition of a "good spot" is extremely narrow. Even in that scenario, you will still find loungers/umbrellas somewhere.
  8. I wouldn’t pay for it as I’m frugal and love the included food on CocoCay so we’ve had several great days there without spending a penny besides tipping for our D drinks. Thay said, when our extended family of 8 was treated to one last year (with a low price booked in 2021), it was amazing! Great views, can jump (or slide) right into the ocean to snorkel or cool off, service and food was amazing, my young nieces liked going to the smaller beach club pool, huge container of bottled water sitting in ice, shower to rinse off, etc. If the $ isn’t an issue (value or budget-wise), go for it, but that part is of course subjective.
  9. Only had CK access twice ever but night one filet was amazing both times… and ours would actually come out medium rare (if requested of course) which I greatly appreciated. Just as good as filet from specialty or the Beach Club, imo.
  10. Liberty is M-F. He won’t be missing a ton of football even if is in-season.
  11. Sorry your experience was so different. Not sure I can attribute it to cutbacks since we sailed in the same month on the same class of ship. I don’t have an explanation though.
  12. Not super important but those are two different sharks... LEMON SHARK NURSE SHARK
  13. They won't bother you, or so I've been told.
  14. Did the same B2B on Indy last July & had a great time not doing much besides eating, drinking, and going to CocoCay… for more eating & drinking! Enjoy!
  15. Yes, you can absolutely upgrade. Call if you booked directly or have your TA price it for you if you used one.
  16. That's our general logic for location preference... being in a good spot relative to areas we frequent.
  17. Do whatever works best for you. We all have our preferences. I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other, but that's exactly what you would be doing if you bid on a RU... letting Royal pick your location to save a few bucks.
  18. Funny how this varies from one ship/sailing to another. CK was fairly empty for all meals except for a couple nights on Wonder in early June. We were wondering (no pun intended) where everyone was. Specialty dining was our best guess.
  19. That is correct, it's only on Oasis class. You can also get Truly, hard cider, and of course bottled water from 11-11.
  20. If you bid on a certain suite via RU it's virtually the same thing as a GTY, just at a better price.
  21. That's what makes the suite neighborhood on Wonder/Utopia so great. We had the GS right outside the entrance to the SL so the bar was literally steps away. I'm not a big drinker but when there's free stuff waiting for you virtually every time you come back to your cabin...
