  1. Yep, we were there already lol. Have the sign pictures to prove it. But that was 65 lbs. ago, so going to definitely have to stop and get a retake.
  2. Ok, so, I might just be confused, but "up to 3 days before you arrive in Skagway" sounds like I have up until 3 days prior to skagway to do it, which would be the 9th. But you're saying it can be done the day of?
  3. Seward to Vancouver. So We'll do the arrivecan for our Vancouver arrival while still on land before we board, and then can do the land arrival for Fraser just on the day we go?
  4. As a non "people person", I won't cruise without a balcony. My husband and I use our balcony a lot, or just have the door open while we're in the room. I would keep the ocean view and then bid up closer to the time of departure. You can save money that way for sure. But my vote is, ESPECIALLY in Alaska, go for the balcony.
  5. I have my husband and I registered, passports are in, vaccination details, etc. So, I think that Arrivecan must be filled out up to 72 hours before you arrive in Canada? So we will be in Skagway on September 12th, so does that mean I have until the 9th to fill out the border crossing info? And what is the name if the border crossing from Skagway into Canada? Is it the Fraser one? That's what I concluded by googling it. And then, we arrive in Vancouver on the 16th, so by the 13th I need to fill that border crossing out? And Canada Place would be which border crossing? Vancouver Cruise Ship Operations?
  6. Carol, you can talk on your phone and look at your apps at the same time. Just put your phone on speaker. Your travel agent will be able to walk you through the whole thing so you are prepared when you get to the dock. I'm sure there will be someone there who will help you, but they will also be very busy, so it would be best to have your ducks in a row prior to getting there, at least mostly anyway.
  7. I definitely would have loved a corner, but those got snagged up fast. Will definitely try for one next time though.
  8. Thanks! 2 years waiting to be back on a ship and it's finally here lol. I had an aft balcony booked 2 years ago and that cruise got canceled, so I'm glad I managed to snag one again, AND surprise my hubby with it, because he hated cruising until we went to Alaska and now his favorite thing is room service on the balcony.
  9. That's what I hoped! The huge room plus the huge balcony just seemed like a no brainer, plus the views from being on the back of the ship. I feel like being on deck 7, we won't have noise from above either.
  10. Perfect!! I didn't tell my husband I upgraded. He asked, I lied. I'm excited for him to find out when we walk into the room.
  11. We stick with Alaska and other cold weather spots. Though it looks like Reflection does sail Ireland and Iceland maybe? That could be fun.
  12. No, that's exactly what I'm thinking. I feel like it's an upgrade, even though technically, class wise, it's a downgrade. As far as the perks that someone else mentioned, wine, bathrobes, etc, those really don't mean anything to me, so I probably won't miss them lol. I haven't worn a bathrobe in my life.
  13. When I originally booked on Millennium last year, all they had were regular concierge class verandahs. Last week, I saw they had a family verandah open, which I had tried to book previously but Celebrity wouldn't let me because they want to use the whole occupancy of the room, which is 5, and we only have 2 travelers. But last week they let me "upgrade", at an upcharge, which is fine, because I wanted the bigger room and the aft balcony. But now I've learned that we are no longer concierge class, I think? Our cabin number is 7204, for reference. Anyone have experience with this type of cabin? Worth the upgrade? Especially for two people who use their balcony extensively and actually use the room a lot?
  14. Yep, we have Tuscan already booked for 2 nights, and I definitely want to see where the table is, because I have no issues eating in main dining as long as we're not side by side with other tables.
  15. we have Tuscan for two nights. It just ducks because on Royal, they have enough specialty dining to get us through the whole cruise.
  16. Lol. It takes 45 minutes to get across our town. We routinely drive out of town just to try new restaurants. 45 minutes is nothing. Glad for the favorable review. It looks very nice, and other reviews are also good. Looking forward to some hopeful peace and quiet.
  17. We’re not picky eaters. Just the one time we chose to try a main dining room, we were seated about 12 inches from another table on each side of us. That was my husbands first cruise and after that he said he was never doing another one. I finally convinced him after we went to Alaska and didn’t eat in the main dining room at all. But Millennium just doesn’t have the specialty options were used to. Hoping we can get there and request a decent table.
  18. So, we have always sailed with Royal Caribbean, which has a good variety of specialty dining. We have never eaten in the main dining room on any of our cruises. There doesn't seem to be as much of a selection in specialty restaurants on Millennium. My question is, will they seat you with other people at the same table? I know we can go when we get on the ship and see where our table is and request changes, but I just want to see if maybe I should reserve Tuscan grill for every night now and be done with it?
  19. You're not going to be denied boarding, you'd just have to check the bag.
  20. We cooked with Jayleen in 2018 and we'll be seeing her again on September 11. She is the best, love her small boat, and we had a fantastic time. I felt bad for the people packed like sardines on the larger boats, trying to get to the railing so they could see something.
