To my eyes, the app is not a self inflicted wound. it is a glimpse into the future. I found it a little problematic on my last cruise but prior to that it was great. I expect it to be great on my upcoming cruises. It is easy and convenient. It is different from what we knew but I do think it brings value and I think it is here to stay.

We usually reserve the Sanctuary on Caribbean Cruises. I like being able to rely on having a lounger and I like the shade. I also like the fact that on most ships the Sanctuary is adjacent to an adults only pool. On the grand class ships you go down a set of stairs to the Lotus Spa Pool (available for all adult age passengers at no additional cost) ob The Royal class ships the pool is just outside the Sanctuary. The service is great with easy food and beverage delivery and a special Sanctuary menu. For me, the $30/day to have your own reserved lounger is money well spent. If you try it, I hope you enjoy it.

The Lotus Spa Pool is an outdoor adults only pool near the Sanctuary. It is open air. The Crown has never had an indoor or enclosed pool.

I think you sound very reasonable. I am not much of a drinker either and avoid the typical booze and hook up scenes. I like meeting people too but in a shared interest, sustainable way. But it has been said I am dull or uninspired. I don't think so but to each their own!
