  1. Ahhh....so he hasnt tested negative. Thank you for confirming I wasnt missing the boat, as I have tested negative. But to someone else's point, I should test again as I did use one of the home non proctored tests. Keeping him in our prayers, that he gets there. We are sailing from Copenhagen Aug 28.
  2. If you booked with tripinsurancestore aka Steve aka iamtrustworthy here on CC you can usually just move your dates for the insurance vs be out the money.
  3. Sorry for my confusion. I too just got over Covid and tested negative now and Im vaccinated. So if you are both "over Covid" and tested negative - then why would you need the Certificate of Recovery?
  4. Getting from Airport to Andersen Hotel. There are 2 metro stations: København H (M) and Central Station (Bernstorffsgade, København, Denmark) This has a train symbol vs an M Which should we get off at to walk to the Anderson Hotel? Also, is there both a Metro and a Subway - Are they 2 different modes of transportation there? Im seeing on Google Maps Kobenhavn H has an (M) and says subway and Central Station has a "train symbol" and says Central Central Station and Train station Bernstorffsgade Where I grew up taking trains, they were one in the same.
  5. My favorite on RCL is a strawberry waffle w/whip cream for breakfast. And like mentioned, I got exactly what/how I wanted for dinners. That's one of the reasons why I really like cruising. Simply ask and they are more than willing to meet your requests. We've found this on several cruise lines.
  6. I believe it says in the marketing somewhere or T&C's the picture may be different than the actual layout.
  7. Yes, that is what I was thinking about. Thank you for your response, Im straight in my mind now. 🙂
  8. Is the Canal Tour (a sightsee) and you can use the card only 1 time for this sightsee for your entire time period? And the water taxi is different and a part of the transportation that is unlimited with the Copenhagen Card?
  9. We feel balcony is middle of the road and thats where we usually go. However, if its port intensive we do an ocean view because we will not be able to enjoy our slow pace of get up, order room service, have coffee hang out on the balcony. So for us its not nicer room or more cruises, its room type based on how much time we will have on the ship.
  10. Thank you njhorseman. I was hoping someone would say something like this. After searching thru google and NCL, NCL must be confused as they list the port stop on the LA to Miami via Joy on Jan 6 2023 as "Panama City (Pacific Cruise Terminal), Panama" But on Miami to LA its listed as Panama City (Fuerte Amador), Panama It seems no matter how they title the port, you can get to the Miraflores Locks. This is listed as a place one would visit if they were taking the ferry excursions thru the old and new locks. As long as we can get there via ship or DIY excursion from Panama City (Fuerte Amador), Panama, the Miami to LA sounds like it will still work for us. Thanks again for your insight, appreciate your many contributions on this Panama Canal forum.
  11. Yes, I did read the whole post!!! And wouldnt have asked the question if I either understood what I read or captured the "PORT" in which was closest to where they tendered in from. Sorry not as up to date on Panama Canal as you but thanks for the input.
  12. Where did you actually port in Panama? There appears to be a couple of ports when doing a Panama Canal cruise and I cant remember which one tenders in Thank you
  13. NCL is only showing 3 minor excursions at this port. Can we expect the same types of excursions to be added (ie Panama Canal by Ferry, or Panama Canal Experience) at some point, as those if you were to port in Panama City (Pacific Cruise Terminal)? This is important because I am considering instead of going LA to Miami, swapping out and going Miami to LA. LA to Miami stops at the Panama City (Pacific Cruise Terminal) and offers the 2 above referenced excursions. This allows us to be lifted thru both the old and new locks via ferry. However, Miami to LA stops at Panama City (Fuerte Amador) and does not show either of these excursions. If unable to do the above excursions, we would miss the main reason we are doing a Panama Canal cruise. Has anyone experienced either of these excursions porting at Panama City (Fuerte Amador)?
  14. You can check a site like cruise deck plans. I pay the small membership fee (which is well worth the price) to see exactly where rooms are, the good; bad & ugly from other cruisers who contribute to the pictures/videos etc. Not to mention the 1 on 1 knowledge from the owner himself. He will personally answer questions and share his knowledge about the ships. He usually sends me drone pictures or drawings to show me what he is referring to. Great resource!!
  15. One can always hop on the train and get to LA in a jiffy...LOL
  16. Spend $800 or more, get 25,000 Membership Rewards® points Oceania Cruises Expires 09/26/2022
  17. They dont even take it for Travel? I love them but that leaves them out of my travel plans, as Im in love with my Amex Platinum Cruise benefits 🙂
  18. Whichever one is more reasonable in price to fly into. They are so close together it wont really matter. They are only 22 minutes apart. Traffic no matter where you are is typically a nut house. LAX you will have a bit of a longer ride, but possibly easier transportation options. Specially if you are going to stay at airport hotel and than go back to airport next day to use cruise ships transport. You can also check out Burbank airport, if that's cheaper. Check to make sure uber/lyft is able to pick up at all of them. Or you can always hire a shuttle from any of them to get you to the port. It will also depend on what you want to do/see the night before the cruise. Sightsee or relax? Did you want to stay closer to the port in a hotel with shuttle to the port on cruise day?
  19. I agree. And they are well worth it. This upcoming cruise I received $300.00 OBC & (2) specialty dinners . Worth it. Then for everything else hotel, transportation, everything on board, etc use the Chase card. Best of both worlds...
  20. Doing the same in August, before a cruise, and we will be doing the same day trips. My flight also changed, so get to spend an extra day in Copenhagen. So we will fit Sweden in too.
  21. I hear you. I have and use both the CSR & Amex Platinum. If you want platinum benefits, you must use the Amex card. If there is an offer, than use the best card. Both are very good players in the cruise/travel arena.
  22. Its one offer for ALL cards. Once you put it on 1 card, it wont usually allow you to add it on the next card.
  23. Get +5 Membership Rewards® points per eligible dollar spent. Up to 50,000 points Regent Seven Seas Cruises
  24. I get them often and Ive used them several times. Just keep checking...
