  1. Per Celebrity Website https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages Standard Pricing is: Classic = $69 x 1.20 = $82.80 per person per day Premium = $84 x 1.20 = $100.80 per person per day Pre-cruise online discounts may or may not occur
  2. I would think the IV would be more likely to be considered an Oceanview 😎
  3. Probably a better chance of being hit by lightning than getting a 50% price drop.
  4. Depending on the port country, even visas for the ship overnighting can be different if you stay on shore for the overnight versus stay on the ship for the overnight. This was the case with an overnight in Vietnam.
  5. And if you got a one-category loyalty upgrade fare reduction - such as an A1 cabin at the A2 fare, then there has to be an available cabin in the lower class in order to continue to get the lower class fare (since if there is no lower class available there in no published fare for that class.)
  6. 25 knot apparent winds make for some challenging curve balls!
  7. If you received a loyalty fare - e.g. an A2 fare for an A1 cabin - then if there are available A2 cabins, you may be able to get the current A2 fare (and additional OBC) even if there are no additional A1 cabins. Check with a Celebrity rep.
  8. Puerta Vallarta is in the Central Time Zone, so I would expect that the ship would also change time zones. Your local shore excursion vendors should be aware of the ship arrival times, so check with them.
  9. Although they do limit their search capabilities to cruise lines they market, the Online TA website I use to search for potential cruises contains 30 cruise lines - including Hurtigruten, P&O, Paul Gauguin, Ponant, Quark and Scenic.
  10. You cannot just cash out OBC on a slot machine. You can use OBC to bet; but only cash out your winnings. The OBC itself stays in the machine until you lose it.
  11. Like most current electrical devices many CPAP power supplies can use 110 or 220 volts. Check the fine print on your CPAP's power supply to determine the allowed range of input voltage. My ResMed CPAP's power supply has an allowed input voltage of from 100 to 240 volts. If yours is similar, you may only need a plug adapter - not a power supply transformer.
  12. I know you may not order two separate drinks with a single card; but may you order a double?
  13. IMHO there are at least three aspects of a rational for tipping as a percentage: 1- generally (but not always) more expensive restaurants do have more elegant food and service (remember that the tips are shared across both the wait staff and the cooking staff) and thus there is an expectation that the wait and cooking staff should receive a higher income (from both their wages and tips.) 2- the wait and cooking staff have an expectation that their total income (wages plus tips) will equal their wages plus a percentage of the average price of the food and beverage served in total to all customers. 3- there is some level of fairness that a person enjoying a five-course meal and perhaps paying two times as much for their food as one enjoying only a two-course meal, then pays two times the level of gratuity in order for the average gratuity to meet the expectations and needs of the staff.
  14. To be clear - if you have paid an AI fare, you have already paid the standard gratuities for your meal service and room steward - and also paid the standard gratuities as part of the included beverage package. If you fare is not an AI fare, you have the option to prepay the standard gratuities or have them applied daily to your account. But unless you purchase a beverage package, you will be paying the bartenders tips via the automatic gratuity added to the cost of each individual drink.
  15. Totally agree. For example, if Juliet were to ask about shaded balconies on the Celebrity Forum, I would suggest the 8 extra-deep slant balconies on most of the passenger cabin decks of each of the S-Class ships.
  16. Theft of an alcoholic drink obviously!
  17. Sorry if I misconstrued your comment. Perhaps you can explain what your comment "Yes - but we cannot name them here." meant after Hlitner had posted "CC rules prohibit us from posting specific cruise/travel agency information. But if you simply Google "Discount Cruise Agencies, you should find what you need somewhere on that first page."
  18. "Discount Cruise Agencies" is not a specific TA as your comment seems to imply.
  19. Although, it is my understanding that you can order any of the "different items" on all 4 different menus in any of the four restaurants - thus no need to change restaurants other than to see different interior decorations.
  20. I doubt you will be able to get any additional info from Celebrity other than perhaps Canadian prices if they apply. Regarding independent excursions with fellow roll call members, you may find offers from cruisers with more experience and more details on excursions that they are offering to share with others.
  21. Yeah, I have never seen the upgrade as an online option - although I have heard that some have gotten it prior to booking by contacting the Captain's Club rep. You might consider instead just upgrading to premium on the second day of your cruise, thus effectively getting a 1 day price reduction.
  22. You can only get the on-board-booking-bonus OBC by booking a new cruise on board (either a specific cruise of a "Future Cruise"); you cannot make use of an existing booking.
  23. Hoping the best for you, but I would definitely look for a different TA if you current TA does not make this right. If nothing else, he should take a hit on his commission and give it to you as OBC.
  24. And Murano on S-Class is now the closest to the specialty restaurants of years ago. Unfortunately, the conversion to Tuscan Grille on M-Class was a major step down. But I am happy to still sail on the M-Class ships and enjoy the Blu when in an Aqua Class cabin.
