  1. Not much to know. It is below another passenger cabin rather than a public space and above crew space. And convenient to the midship elevators.
  2. The balconies on the three most forward of the sweet-sixteen cabins on both sides of the ship are fully covered from the deck 8 overhang:
  3. Just curious whether or not you heard noise from Eden which appears to be directly below the aft-facing cabins on deck 7.
  4. Yeah, it was changed back in 2016 when they also went to a single price ceiling for beer, wine and liquor.
  5. This in not always the case. Procedures differ depending on the country and the turnaround port.
  6. Bigelow is a family-owned USA specialty tea company formed in 1945 with the creation of the "Constant Comment" brand of blended tea.
  7. Is this a new rule. On my last cruise back in 2019 I was allowed to use promotional chips on the outside.
  8. Agreed. With the test I have used there are two possible lines - one of them is required to be there in order to have a valid test and the other is present if it is positive and absent if it is negative.
  9. If the price had decreased or only increased slightly, the TA can always cancel and rebook at anytime prior to final payment and still provide an attractive fare with additional TA OBC.
  10. The three that you mentioned, along with the Cosmopolitan, are the four standard Main Dining Rooms - with different decor but mostly the same menu.
  11. Perhaps there are some cruise lines that will not "refare" a non-refundable deposit fare without losing the deposit - but my experience with Celebrity is that there is no penalty for repricing a NR fare prior to final payment (although, just as with a R fare, you must accept the then current associated perks which may be different that you had with your original booking.)
  12. And since you must gamble and win in order to cash out, on average you lose the house percentage on the bets and cannot cash out the full amount of OBC.
  13. If you purchase a drink package, then you pay a gratuity on the price paid for the package, but not on individual drinks - so long as the price of your drink is not in excess of the package ceiling price. If you have a drink package as part of AI, then there is no additional gratuity on the package - and again, there is no individual drink gratuity as long as the price of your drink is less than or equal to the package ceiling price
  14. But when you decide to wait until next week, then the price goes up. 🙃
  15. However, there are some restrictions - see the following from their website: One-Category Upgrade One-category upgrade requests must be made at the time of booking and apply only for upgrades within the supercategory, depending on availability. Example of a super category upgrade in AquaClass: A2 to A1. Upgrades available from categories 11- A1 on all Celebrity ships except Galapagos voyages. For sailings departing prior to April 12, 2023: Captain's Club one-category upgrade excludes categories: 12, FV, SV, C1 and Z, Y, X, XC, XA, W. On Celebrity Edge categories 12, 9, 7, 6, IO, 1B, 1A, SV, ES, E1, C2, C1, A1 are also excluded. For sailings departing on or after April 12, 2023: Captain's Club one-category upgrade excludes categories: IS, ES, SV, SC, PO, DO, DI, DV and Z, Y, X, XC, XA, W. This offer cannot be used with certain restricted fares including but not limited to Simply Sail, Exciting Deals, Interline, travel agent or employee rates. Upgrades apply for one stateroom per cruise. Stateroom assignments only. Not valid on holiday sailings. The Captain's Club program terms are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Offers vary by tier, see benefit grid for full details. Captain Club benefits may not be available with other sales and promotions.
  16. Cabin Price Differences depend on the specific cruise, and when you book. I booked an AQ on a 2024 Solstice 17N transpacific about 5 months ago. Now the AQ's are already completely sold out and the price of a mid-priced regular verandah cabin is slightly more than the price I booked for the AQ.
  17. Yes, 1547 has the bed close to the bath while 1552 has the bed by the balcony.
  18. Brings to mind Paul Newman playing cards on a train in the movie The Sting.
  19. Hey Jim Was the above info specific for the turn around in Vancouver? Only ask since the turn around rules can be different in different ports.
  20. The pictures by RTSHAKER in post#2 appear to be from an A2 cabin on the forward portion of deck 11 - where there is no real overhang since at that point deck 11 is just as wide as the above decks. And there is no significant overhang on the slant cabins on deck 9 because the above decks are the same width at that point, except for decks 14 and 15 which are wider than deck 9 but so far above deck 9 that it has no effect. On the other hand, the A2 cabins on the aft portion of deck 11 do have a significant overhang since deck 11 is narrower at that point and the above deck 12 is wider that deck 11 at that point.
  21. Don't forget to have a drink between each sighting 😏
  22. The Porch is open for both lunch and dinner. When we did it, the price and menu was the same for both times.
