We have the classic drink package and are sailing on a transatlantic voyage from London. Can you order a double drink from the included liquors or do you pay extra for ordering a double? Example ordering a double black russian or a double bourbon on the rocks?

Thank you to all who answered my questions. We are leaving from Southampton and was not aware of the VAT situation. We left out of Dover last year on Viking and there was no change in the drink prices or change in their beverage package pricing. The Beverage package price is $25.00 pp per day and includes gratuity for drinks up to $18.00 unlimited.

We are booked on the Silhouette in October in aqua class with the classic drink package up to 10.00 dollars per drink. When I look at some of the menu prices for wine most are above the limit allowed. I know that I can pay the difference, my question is what, what is the selection like in the bars and the Blu dining room. My next question is what about drinks like a martini or a Manhattan without ordering a call brand. Can you order a double and it is counted as two drinks and would be included or would I be charged for the double, as an example a double Kahula on the rocks.

Thank you all for your feedback, sorry for the cabin location error regarding the deck number. On what deck is the Blu dining room located. Any other tips would be appreciated.

We are experience cruisers with over 35 different cruises, however it has been a long time since we have been on Celebrity. We are booked on the Silhouette in Aqua class on deck 15 for a transatlantic voyage in October. Are we supposed to eat most meals in Blu except for a reservation in a specialty restaurant or can we also go to the main restaurant with anytime dining for a change from Blu? We have the basic drink package, do each of the restaurants have a list of the wines by the glass available in that restaurant? We normally travel with Viking Ocean and would appreciate any tips from experienced Celebrity cruisers, especially why Aqua class cabins are special.

Can anyone who is on board now, post some pictures of the wine list showing the included wines with the Silver Spirts package. I know that the price has increased and I believe any wine listed by the glass was included with the SS package.

We have been to Funchal several times and would like to see someplace different.

I wish they would add new stops to the current transatlantic voyages they all stop at Funchal. How about Bermuda, the Canary Islands or Cape Verde.

We were on the Sky two weeks ago and found the food to be below what we have come to expect from Viking after completing 7 Viking Ocena cruises. I did several written reports to the food and beverage people and some improvement was noted, however I agree with all of your comments. This ships food is below what we have come to expect from Viking.

We are on this cruise now. The food is not up to Vikings usual standards and we have been on 5 previous Viking cruises. We feel that the executive chef is in over his head and the upper management seems like it is playing catch up at every turn. This cruise has been disappointing from day one.

We are on the Sky Barcelona to Venice in March. I did ask about the lack of tours in Rome. I was told that there will be tours in Rome both included and optional and they would be available to book once we board in Barcelona. The computer system does not have the ability to book tours in stops that has people coming on board and leaving the ship on the same day. Hope this helps.

Thank you all who have posted Viking promotions. I still do not understand how some people get these promotions sent to them and other past guests are not included in them. I have signed up for getting these special promotions and do get some but not all that others receive. We thanks to those who share them, we just signed up for the Canada and Atlantic Coast trip this April. The savings with what was included in this promotion was over $5000.00.

My response in regard to Delta Premium economy and what seats would be assigned prior to the over water segment in Premium Economy was to answer Clay's question.

If you are flying Delta in premium select they usually fly you in comfort plus, the extra leg room seats at no cost until you connect to your over water flight. We have done this several times using Viking air plus.. In fact we just did this for a Med cruise in March. Delta as far as I know is the only airline that does this, it gives you priorty check in at your home airport also.
