Another vote for Tuscan. Silk Harvest is very disappointing compared to the Chinese food in Vancouver.

Wow, the Butler must be HUGE with all that stuff in his panty!:D I know this is a typo but thanks for the unintended laugh.

The PH suites on the M class are amazing. We got to visit one on a cabin crawl. That's the only way we'll ever get into one. Enjoy your cruise and that huge balcony.

We got 50% off the first night (we chose Qsine), as AQ class. The coupon was in our cabin on Eclipse when we boarded. Later on in the cruise they came around at the Aqua Spa cafe and were offering 30% off to anyone who wanted it.

Thanks Ma Bell. We need to move on.

We have not sailed on Silhouette. However, on Eclipse, Zumba was offered twice per day on sea days, morning around 9:30 and the aft about 3:30, and once on port days about 4 or 4:30. I forget. It was a TA so we had the classes mostly in the forward lounge on the cooler days and a few on the pool deck as we approached the Caribbean. I found the pool deck very hot for the classes.
I believe the classes are fleet wide.

Dandee2, get a printout of your account from Guest Relations a few days before the end of the cruise. Your OBC's will be on there as OBR if it is refundable on your credit card or OBN if it is nonrefundable. Celebrity is kind enough to use the non refundable credits first when charges are made to your account. If you object to the 5% charge at the casino to cash out the OBN, you can always get something at the shops, eat at Bistro etc. We never lose an OBC no matter how it is designated.

Book the cruise and go see if Perry is your cup of tea! There was so much for us to do on a recent sailing we had to choose between things. The Baltic is on our list too.
The following is from Celebrity's web site
Some of the captivating experiences that await you include:
- Production Shows: Broadway, Circus, Song and Dance spectaculars
- Interactive Theme Parties: Flava, Groove, Masque, and Live@Sky
- Custom performance featuring Poet Theatricals and Qdos
- Everybody Dance - featuring guests who have been trained onboard in different types of dance by our professional dancers
- Guest Entertainers featuring Comedians, Singers, Magicians, Jugglers and more
- Live Music featuring String Quartets, Jazz Bands, Guitarists and A Cappella performances
- DJs - to keep you dancing all night long.
I think the A Capella group may no longer be on there.
- Production Shows: Broadway, Circus, Song and Dance spectaculars

Good point. The robes on our last cruise were only fit for rag dusters, they were so worn and tatty.

YVR cruiser, yes, I noted in post #5 that you mentioned elegant teas for elites everyday in the buffet but as this is my first cruise with Celebrity I am not eligible for elites benefits. As a Classic member, would I be able to participate in the elegant afternoon teas, every day and/or on sea days in the buffet ?
gdpups... thanks for the info. I'm not certain that what you suggest is the same as YVR's elegant afternoon teas but it sounds lovely anyway and yes, HAL's 'themed' afternoon teas were wonderful and most memorable. Perhaps, I may just have to wait until I reach elite status before I can participate in the 'elegant afternoon teas.' Thanks again. :)
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I should have made it clearer. The Elegant tea is different from the tea in the buffet area. The buffet area tea is for everyone every day. You are right, the elegant tea is for Elites and is usually held in another location on one day of the cruise only. I hope your cruise on Celebrity will be the first of many. Again, sorry for not making my explanation clearer.

We are happy with Celebrity because they have an excellent product, without any perks and it pleases us every time we sail. We will never reach Zenith but we are not worried. I am sorry the OP is so turned off that they will never sail with Celebrity again.

In post #5, I said it is every day in the buffet. At least it was in Nov on Eclipse.

Half of the seating on the upper level is reserved for Select Dining. The other half is MDR but I think the two tops by the railing might be reserved for suite people or VIP's? Not sure about this. I just know we have never gotten one when doing traditional dining. Ask the Maitre'D on embarkation day and you might be lucky.
-
There is also an elegant tea for Elites and it is very nice. You can get scones with jam and whipped cream any day in the buffet area around 3:30. There are also small sandwiches. It is hard to have only one scone, they are so good.

They are now offering some wonderful looking smoothies at Aqua Spa that can be made according to what you want in them and I believe they have a charge of $6. I haven't been on Century for a long time but I loved the Aqua Spa cafe on there as it is a separate little room unlike all of the other ships. You can get plenty of food there at no charge. They have changed the hot entrees (special order and free) at lunchtime. They are still good but not as big. We all loved that big piece of grilled salmon that they used to have. . I would still ask for some and see what happens.

This is the general board so you will not get an answer to your query here. There is a roll call for your cruise at:
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1822720
However you get there, do not miss Waterford and the tour through the crystal factory.

I don't see what the issue is of someone wanting to take a picture of their meal. The photos in this thread are amazing and make me hungry. As for the chefs objecting, I would think they would be proud that you thought their dish attractive enough to take a photo of it. Now if it were the recipe you were taking a picture of....that would be different. Can't wait for more cruise food.

It is almost impossible to get food past a beagle!
You're definitely right about that. They have amazing noses.

We did the last Equinox trip before the TA and the TA also. The difference between the two was remarkable. A lot of the crew got off after the last sailing in Europe and the service was good on the TA but not outstanding as it had been on the final Europe sailing.
There might be some good sales in the shops on the last trip. Go for it and enjoy your R&R.

We enjoyed Eclipse very much and we had Sheldon and Leslie too but we were not in a suite so we didn't get to meet the amazing Manuel.
I hope you feel better really quickly. With a move in front of you, you need to be feeling on top and then some.

No repeats on Millennium or Eclipse. However we did think the lobster on formal night was better on Millennium, as was the service.

How long is it since you have sailed with Celebrity? Some of these things have been gone for a while. Frankly I don't need flowers in the bathroom, there is little enough counter space. As for fruit in the room, we really do get more than enough to eat and I wonder why they bother with this. We still get the chocolates on the pillow:) and I love them for that. I do hope you enjoyed your cruise otherwise. We are looking forward to our next one soon.

Thank you both for your replies. I did look at the captain's club portion of the website, but could not see the per person explanation. Now I can look forward to double the points when I take my wife. A good reason to take her :D
Perhaps I read this wrong and you mean something else. You do not get double points for two in a cabin or triple for three. Each person gets his own points which go into his account separately. If you are in AQ class on a 10 day cruise, for instance, you will get 5 x 10 = 50 points for the cruise. She will also get 50 points. But one person will not get 100 because there are two in the cabin.
Still a very good idea to take your wife along though!:D

Prices have dropped quite a bit on the first sailing of Solstice into Vancouver from Honolulu (Apr 28 - May 8). In fact it is listed on the Tuesday special today. Perhaps the same thing will happen with the Sept sailing once final payment has passed.
How do you people afford all those cruises?

OP are you aware of the Tuesday specials that Celebrity offers? They are often, last minute very good deals offered to fill the ship.
We usually get a balcony but we have sailed in inside cabins 2 or 3 times and o/v a few times. We have never had a suite. We wouldn't know what to do with a butler.
We have lots of air miles and hotel points in the Marriott system, so that helps too.
I guess it all boils down to what is important to you in vacation spending. You live in a part of the world that many would give their eye teeth to see so maybe you don't need to cruise as often as many of us do.
