  1. I'm enjoying your trip review so much! We were on this cruise with you 🙂 It was my husband, myself and two sons. It was our first Royal cruise. We also had interior promenade rooms. We were on deck 8 in rooms 8253 and 8355 adjoining rooms. One day we were walking through the promenade and I was telling my family about the room above Ben and Jerry's. I knew it was a special room but I didn't know about all the perks. You were wondering about whether anyone ate the flag cupcakes: they were passing them out when we were leaving the lunch buffet so we took two to our cabin. The other picture is the view of the promenade from our rooms. We were right above the Christmas tree.
  2. I've read online that it can be a little more difficult (maybe not the right word-maybe time consuming) process going through customs at the end of the cruise without the passport. On every other cruise we've been on we have all had passports so I don't know if this is the case or not.
  3. I apologize for this posting twice. Admins, please feel free to delete this one. Thank you
  4. We are flying into Fort Lauderdale before our cruise and plan to get a rental car at the airport. I have read that some of the rental car places allow you to rent a car at the airport and get a shuttle to Port Everglades upon returning the car. Some such as Budget and Avis require you to return the car to a different location then shuttle to the port. Does anyone have any experience with this. I have been looking at Alamo (can't find very much info on whether they will shuttle you to the cruise port), Budget and Avis. Has anyone done this and which rental car company is best for this?

  6. Okay, that's what I was hoping. If I were going to have to reprint everything, then I would just wait a little longer to check him in and hope the passport comes in but I'd really just like to get all our check-ins completed.
  7. I have another cruise booked for May that I booked back in October and I uploaded the documents a few days after booking. It seems like it took a few weeks before it showed on my account. Do you think it would be any faster if I emailed them?
  8. So if I go in and change his document to a passport, would he get a different set sail card? Would I need to reprint everything or would it all stay the same?
  9. We recently had to renew our passports. My husband and I have received our new ones. We are still waiting on my son's passport. I have checked my husband and I in but I have been waiting to check in my son. If I go ahead and check him in and say he will be using a birth certificate and photo ID, can I go back into the website and change it and upload his passport info if it arrives in time?
  10. I have two completely unrelated questions so I am going to make 2 separate post. One question is about shareholder onboard credit. I just booked a Christmas week cruise which is just 16 days out. I went online and uploaded the documents showing I have 100 shares of stock. Is there time for Royal to add the onboard credit to my account or is it too close to the sailing date? Also, I blocked out my account number on the statement I uploaded. I thought I read a previous post saying it is okay to do that, but now I can't find it. Is it okay to to upload the required document without Robinhood account number showing?
  11. My cruise isn't until next summer so I would think there would still be some balconies of both types still available. I had some trouble with the website also. When I put in all of our names, birthdays, etc for 4 of us to book the cruise, the price dropped by almost $1000 and the page came back up to enter our info again but this time with only space to enter 2 people so I had to start all over. It worked correctly the 2nd time.
  12. I didn't see anywhere that I could pick only an ocean view balcony guarantee. I will try giving them a call today. Thank you
  13. I just booked my first cruise with Royal Caribbean. I wanted an ocean view exterior balcony, but a balcony guarantee was much less expensive than choosing the cabin myself. As soon as I booked, it said something like room type is "neighborhood balcony guarantee". Does this mean I will definitely get an interior balcony and an ocean view one is out? I wish there was a way to pay a little more for an exterior balcony guarantee, (but not full price) because it seems like the interior and exterior balconies should be two different categories.
