For those that are currently/recently on Constellation in the Retreat, mind sharing who the concierges are in Michaels Club and who is the "Head Butler"?
I'll add my thanks for the review and how disappointing the most recent experiences reported on CC on the SS changes continue to be. I can say that on the number of cruises on X in SS and CS we have never encountered these issues, but we have not cruised since the changes. Not being personally greeted by the concierge into the cruise or a Luminae sommelier whose services extended to red or white and the casual approach is not something we would have even thought of experiencing in X suites/Retreat.
Thanks for your honest review of your SS experience as disappointing as it is to hear for those of us that cruise suites (SS in particular of late) and those that are considering it. We have three coming up, with one in a few weeks, in SS for the first time since the changes and from reviews have certainly lowered our expectations which is a shame from a product that we have so enjoyed and encouraged others to try. But, we will always keep a good attitude as we know how hard the crew works and just enjoy our travels. Like others, enjoyed following along!
We are considering Scandinavia and Norwegian Fjords on Apex June 2025 out of Southampton. Would appreciate thoughts on cruising/destinations that time of year with crowds in ports, kids on the ship, weather, and any other thoughts? Thanks.
Would appreciate thoughts on the condition of the Constellation from those currently or have recently sailed on her? As she is scheduled for refurbishing in, I think, April 2024 curious on what we can expect when we're on her in a few weeks.
Have not sailed on the Eclipse, yet, but we only stay in suites, E and M class, so do think it's worth it for a number of reasons, size of the cabins and balcony, Retreat lounge and sundeck, Luminae, and prior to the changes, butler service (on the Constellation in a SS a few weeks from now and will experience first-hand the changes).
We did not have one on Edge in April for Carribean/TA. We did the Chef's Market Tour/dinner in both with the one in Malaga being the one we definitely enjoyed the most and likely would not do again in the Caribbean. Not due to the chef as it was the same for both.
Great to hear that Connie is in great condition and a wonderful crew as we'll be on her early Dec. Their wine list "should" be replenished post TA but one never knows nowadays and we'll see.
We have been on E-class to include Edge in April and only found against the wall to be noisy at times from the kitchen. Other than that, we did not find noise a problem in the middle or by the windows (two-top tables). We tend to dine early and not sitting next to large groups, which we think helps with the noise level by your table. I will say the most noise on Edge was on the Caribbean leg of the trip and the TA was less because of the lower passenger volume.
