  1. They tell which cabin your luggage needs to go to. We have always had them with every cruise line we have ever sailed with. Though our current ones with Regent look different than these.
  2. Thank you! I will have to keep trying to come up with gifts.
  3. Never cruised on Disney, never will. But, my grandchildren are going on a Disney cruise. I am looking for a Christmas gift. Is there a charge for the character breakfasts? If so, I might give them that for Christmas. Thank you!
  4. Just to get you excited - we did a World Cruise and played all of the games. Our points got us t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, aluminum drink bottles, hats, bags, straps for suitcases, and I will have to think about what else. They will have a list of what is available and what it costs the day before you can redeem. The line will be long. Go early. We just talked about this over Thanksgiving. Four years later, our granddaughter still wears her sweatshirt to bed every night in the winter. "It is so soft!"
  5. Dana was the Assistant CD. Tammie was the Social Hostess. Maybe they both retired.
  6. TAP ticket agent stole our credit card. We had paid for bags but she insisted we pay again. Said OK and we will argue after the trip. The credit card machine did not work there so she had to go to a different desk with our credit card in hand. Later at the hotel the credit card company contacted us. Our card was used all over Heathrow airport. We denied all charges. The bad thing was they cancelled our credit card so we had to travel without it. It all worked out. We did not even have to protest the bags charge. They lumped it with the stolen credit card charges. Will never fly TAP again.
  7. We did the same and received a credit from NCL for the transfers. You might want to check your invoice and see if you got a credit. You will still have to make your own transfer arrangements.
  8. They will make any of the Pacific Rim dishes on the other ships with 24 hours notice.
  9. Dress code on Regent for dinner is long pants (no shorts) and a collared shirt (no buttons required). The outdoor restaurant does allow shorts. Breakfast and lunch you can wear anything. Your swimsuit works with a coverup. They also do not have assigned dining times or assigned tables. Eat when you want, where you want, with whoever you want. I call that freestyle. I am not suggesting anybody try Regent. My comment had to do with port charges (and DSC) not being required by anyone to be a separate item. They could all be rolled up into the base fare, which I would prefer. It would save me the time of doing the math myself.
  10. Point was, on their sister cruise line, the port fees are rolled up into the base fare. That could be done by any cruise line. There appears to be no "rule" saying it needs to be a separate item. And, for those people choosing to stay in the Haven on NCL, that is very comparable in price to RSSC.
  11. Regent base fares include port charges.
  12. Yes. Regent has a World Cruise every year. We were in your same boat about 10 years ago. We took a 10 night cruise on Regent to see if we wanted to do a World Cruise. Decided yes and then they stopped doing World Cruises. Eventually they brought them back and we did the 2019 World Cruise. Loved it. 2020, 2021, and 2022 were all "messed up" due to Covid. Hopefully the next few years will be a go. Love the 2025 itinerary. Our only experience with Azamara was the first cruise on the Quest. That taught us to never take the first cruise on any ship.
  13. Spend a couple of days pre-cruise in Bangkok. The port is something like an hour from the city. Ko Samui is a long tender ride (maybe due to tides?) Our understanding was it was a beach day. We stayed on the ship. Singapore has lots to offer. Kuala Lumpur port is about two hours from the city. We took a city tour. Penang has lots of sightseeing. We have been here twice and saw completely different things. Phuket has always been on our wishlist. So, we took a tour to the mainland to see James Bond Island. Needless to say, Phuket is still on our wishlist. Cochin has lots to do. We took the Backwater Tour. Mangalore had lots of choices. We took Highlights. Goa we went to the Taj Exotica Resort. I would go back. Mumbai we really liked. So much to do. We had two full days. We did Highlights on Day 1 and Elephant Caves on Day 2. Fujairah was fun. We took the Desert Safari. Dubai is a city. Some people love it. It was on our wishlist. We would not come back. We did Discover Diubai Is this what you were looking for?
  14. I found that too. It is from a different collection. Found three from my collection that sold last March.
  15. No luck that route either. The artist would have to be in her 90's so could be dead. Her son sold the prints at the market. He could have retired. I have 8 of her prints. Sunset Beach, Oyster Pond, Marigot, Orient Beach, Gran Case, Pinel, Phillipsburg.
  16. Just an update. I tried sending an email through this site. No replay. Found an email address for the Chamber of Commerce. No respond. I am assuming they are out of business. I will not be able to add to my collection. No need to go to the market on our next stop. Thank you for your help.
  17. Look online at the menus for the other specialty restaurants on the other ships. Maybe make a copy. Bring it with you. With 24 hours notice you can order from those restaurants in Compass Rose as long as they have the ingredients. We always order lobster tempura at least once a week.
  18. Thank you but no, it does not help. It is a different spelling and a different artist.
  19. Does anyone know if the man selling Chantel Marie prints is still in the market? If not, can they be purchased anywhere else?
  20. The rule used to be the count starts when you finish the trip. I do not know if that rule has changed or not.
  21. We were in Cambodia maybe 15 years ago. I found a bag of coins from that trip. Took them back to tip the tour guide. He was thrilled. Coins have been discontinued and his children had never seen any. I had no idea they were financially worthless or I would have just tossed them. We also gave him USD which he said was better than local money. Tipped the bartender in Latvia for a bag of ice for the room - $1 US. She was thrilled. She had never seen a USD. We pulled out the wallet and showed her all denominations we had. We then distributed $1 US to the rest of the staff.
  22. We still show 90 days out for a 10 night cruise. We have passed the 120 day spot and have not heard from any body. Our reservation is still active.
  23. Our December cruise is showing final payment 90 days out.
  24. Actually, on our last cruise, the social travelers were singles, couples, siblings, and everything else inbetween.
  25. No on the wheelchair. You must bring your own. 601 is a penthouse and is much larger than a standard cabin.
