  1. Adults only. No MUTS blasting, No DJ blasting. It is a nice, quiet spot. All chairs were being used when wait service started. The ship was rocking. When navigating stairs, I use both hands to hold on. It is difficult to carry a drink.
  2. www.travelerscenturyclub.org If you click on Countries &Territories, it provides a list of the 330 countries currently in the world. There are 7 listed for Antartica. Rules state you do not have to spend a night in the country, but you do have to step foot on land. If your plane stops to refuel and you do not get off, it does not count. If you have a port call and you do not get off the ship, it does not count. They do not count a drive-by as actually being there. This is the list and rules I follow. Just an fyi if somebody wants to count number of countries they have been to.
  3. I was talking about the retreat pool. I never went to the main pool. The next deck up overlooks the retreat pool. The Sanctuary is located there.
  4. We did that. Ate at The Catch on Wednesday and MDR on Thursday. We felt the lobster in the MDR was better than The Catch. Both filets were bad. In the future I will try to get two lobster tails and skip the steak.
  5. We went at 10 am on a sea day. The pool deck was completely taken but the next deck up was completely open. Our problem was no waiter. You had to go down to the pool deck bar to get a drink. Eventually we did get a waiter. Do not know if that was the work schedule or we complained enough that they brought one in.
  6. When we bought the watch, the sales lady installed the medallion. Now we cannot figure out how to get it out to be ready for our next cruise. Help, Please!
  7. I'll jump in. We called Uber from our Long Beach hotel at 10 am. At the port there were long lines but they kept moving. When we arrived in the building for check in, they had signs directing you to blue or green lanes, plus a lady verbally directing you. We were blue. They took a picture of our passport and handed us our medallions. We walked right onto the ship. The next time we looked at our watch, it was 11 am. We are on starboard. It was a little after 3 when I realized we were moving. We ate both meals in the MDR. The menus were the standard embarkation menus which have been posted here numerous times. Our go to is the bay shrimp and avocado; salmon; and beef tenderloin. All were good. We would order them again, which we do for every cruise. For dinner, my go to has always been pork tenderloin. I decided to try something new - Cajun Fried Chicken. I will go back to my pork tenderloin. My other half stuck with his Bahamian Stew and he was happy.
  8. We are scheduled to arrive at 2 pm Monday. If it takes 3 hours to get a tender - that is 5 o'clock. Thanks for confirming my decision to not get off the ship.
  9. You have until departure time on the second day to complete muster. Gangway is open on all night for arrivals and departures.
  10. In October they were in the back of the buffet. They alternated nights they were open. Reservations were required.
  11. Your Princess experience reminds me of our first and only Celebrity cruise.
  12. I did this on our last cruise. Then I heard they will not serve you bacon or cheese. I decided to not bring up the subject. Just took water pills as it was only a 10 night cruise. Some foods tasted like salt. I sent them back to the kitchen after a couple of bites. No one ever approached me about my prechosen low-sodium option. Next up is a 33 night cruise. I will talk with the waiter/head waiter the first night and preorder everything. But, I want no added salt, not low-sodium. Just keep the salt shaker away from my food. But I want the bacon and cheese
  13. I actually like the lights. I have not had curtains in my house for over 30 years. I like the light. Being in an unfamiliar place, I really like the lights. I am glad those of you who do not like them have found a solution. They do not wake me and do not bother me.
  14. Game shows will repeat. Go the first time and memorize the answers. Then win the second time.
  15. We went to Iceland in about 2005 on a land tour. Highly recommend it. We did Norway on a land tour in about 2019. Highly recommend it. We have Greenland booked next year on a cruise. Lots of sea days. We love sea days. But. was ready to cancel until read lots of positive things on Cruise Critic. All are expensive. Only you can decide if it is worth it.
  16. We have a Lucy's down the street from us in Biloxi - same glasses, same menu!
  17. Try Seabourn. You make your purchase and they deliver it to your stateroom. Regent also.
  18. One night my husband hit his 15 drink max. Probably because someone along the way put my drinks on his. The waiter explained this to us and asked if he could put both of our drinks on my bill. Hopefully all waiters have been taught to do this instead of charging for a drink if one of you hit your max.
  19. We departed at 10 pm. Shows were still 7:30 and 9:30 (USA). We guessed the show would be the next night which was a sea day. We guessed wrong. Were able to get a table for 2 at 5:30 the night before.
  20. We do not like sharing tables either for this reason but those nights it was share a table in the MDR or eat in the buffet. We like buffets less than sharing a table.
  21. We liked to have appetizers at Vines before going to the MDR for dinner. They call it a meal. We skipped the salad. The dessert was the best one on the ship. And on premier, it is free.
  22. No "vouchers" issued. It is attached to your medallion.
  23. We had premier so only had to go to the show 15 minutes prior. But at a shared table, the service was way too slow. We sat while people ate appetizers, soup, salad. Then had to leave to see the show before our entrees were served.
