  1. In Scotland we called all sodas "lemonade". "I'll have a glass of lemonade please" "What kind of lemonade do you want?" "Coke please" I know, 🤡 but it made sense to us then.
  2. This is a lot of information, but let me say that a lot of it depends on the cabin booked and the length of the cruise. I am going to assume that you are looking at a non Haven cabin that is not a "sailaway" rate ( these get no perks at all) and for 7 days. You will get the "free at sea" drinks package. Anything up to $15 is included, and you can have as many as you want. This does not include bottled water, specialty coffee or fresh squeezed juices. This can be upgrade to the Premium package which will include these things if you wish. ** you will have to prepay gratuities if you choose this option You will get 2 specialty restaurant meals per person. (first 2 cruisers in the room) These can be used at any of the specialty restaurants. You can again upgrade and buy more if you want. **you will have to prepay gratuities if you choose this option You will get $50 shore excursion credit per cabin. You will get a set number of free internet minutes usually about 150, that you can choose to upgrade at further cost if you choose. ** prepaid drink/food gratuities are added to the cost when you book the cruise.
  3. I pay specifically (and sometimes through the nose) because there is an area that is child free. The little angels are free to overrun and swarm the rest of the ship and I will get out of their way and even at times make comment on how " well-behaved, cute, adorable or precious" they may be.
  4. @victory2020One last suggestion, if you are looking at your offers on the AMEX App, look in the "added to card" section, because if you saved it, it wont be in the "available offers" area any more.
  5. Try and see if you can book for 8 people, then as soon as you get on board you can change back to 6. There is a glitch in the system that only allows so many tables of a certain number to be booked at a certain time.
  6. I resemble your remarks! except I gave up smoking after a bad health scare in 2007. Have a lovely cruise, wear what you want, you will find enough smoking sections on the Escape (my favorite ship). Who cares what anyone thinks, you will probably never see them again in your life. The crew on board are most helpful and can help you with most anything. There is also a printed daily that you can pick up in the morning from Customer Service when you nip out for your first fuel up and respiratory session of the day. There are many on here who will be pleasant and help. There are many Know-it-alls, and unfortunately a sizeable amount of trolls. Pick what you need and roll your eyes at the rest. Have a Very Merry Christmas!!🎅🤶🎄
  7. I was on Getaway in August, and yes, lobster rolls available at lunchtime, and quite yummy!
  8. LOL It's always worth trying !! If you don't ask, you don't get.
  9. Easiest to do with OBC as soon as you get on board. There will be a table in the atrium, or you can go directly to internet cafe.
  10. You can absolutely upgrade once on board and use your OBC. This is how I did it the first time when I had a lot of OBC I had to use. It is very easy to do. In my case there was a table set up in the atrium offering the upgrade and it was charged to my room account and the OBC was used. I am sure there are other ways to do it, concierge, guest services etc.
  11. what about a day use hotel room? My husband and I did this in Seattle, we were able to nap and shower before getting on our flight home. https://www.dayuse.com/
  12. Always use a Private Window when you are browsing. That way sites will show you price changes, not just the price you were shown last time. Do this for any comparison shopping for any kind of goods/services.
  13. This is how we did this. Everyone brings ONE magnet. Everyone puts magnet in the same bag. Everyone who puts a magnet in the bag gets to pull one out, if its the magnet you brought, switch it. If the last person to pick gets their own , then switch with whoever picked first.
  14. I booked this too! Second time, last time I did it I had a great time! You will also have access to the beach and resort here.
  15. To put it as simply as possible. FAS dinners are applied to your reservations in the order they are booked. The price is set at Teppanyaki and Moderno, one price eat all you want, easy. Booked and done, can immediately zero out. The others are "a la carte" in other words, once they know how much the bill is for, they will "zero out" your bill on board. So reserve and wait. The wondrous awesomeness of the NCL booking program has only one focus, and that is to charge you for anything with a set price that is not immediately zeroed out by the FAS. That does not mean you have to eat at Teppanyaki and Moderno first, just book then first.
  16. You can buy them on NCL website , in the explore and plan section of your booking summary, or you can call NCL customer service. They are sold out already on my trip in February.
  17. The Pearl was the first NCL ship I sailed on and I loved every minute! Have fun, take part in the goofy stuff, sometimes the goofy stuff makes for the best memories.🤣💃
  18. You can go 4 times if you want, using all 3 of your package and one of your platinum. I dont think you are able to use 2 of your platinum in the same restaurant, but you can always ask at cruise next desk.
  19. My total buy came to $1450 , so even if excursions don't count I get the deal
  20. I thought the same thing, no offers for NCL for 2 years, but this one popped up for me today, so "never say never" is my newest motto.
  21. Like me! I went ahead and prepaid tips, paid for our excursions and then bought on board credit, et voila! $1000 dollars spent with OBC which is refundable but which I will probably use to pay for a massage on GSC so I can access the Moet Bar.
  22. This has happened to us many times. Like you , we were all in the same cabin. When we got to the pier the gentleman checking docs at the door said "As long as you are all in the same cabin, you can all check in at the first time you reserved"
  23. I have gone from Haven to inside cabin. Do I love the Haven? Yes, absolutely! Sometimes the inside room is just too cheap to pass up! It is much easier to be flexible , enjoy the luxury one week and revel in the money you saved the next. As long as I am with my person it is going to be, as we always say as soon as our feet touch the deck, "another wicked good vacation"
  24. https://a.co/d/a73YhPK These work perfectly for everything.
